November 2025 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Lexi East from the Medical Team!

We are fortunate to have a wonderful volunteer for our medical team.  I have personally seen Lexi work with our kittens and foster parents when she does vaccinations and she really is a treasure and we are indeed to have her working with us.   

Ruth Bern nominated Lexi and she wanted us to know: “ She has really stepped up when we have been short-handed on the medical team. Has worked hard to get us organized even while she’s in school fun time! She’s been volunteering for at least a couple of years now and even helped with ringworm treatments when we had no one else to step into that roll. She’s kind and patient. So grateful she volunteers for CRAN.”

Lexi had the following to say when I told her she was our newest VOTH:  “I joined CRAN in February 2023 during my second year of college. After losing my one year old cat and a family cat a year prior, I looked to CRAN to find meaningful ways to spend time with cats again. It has been so fulfilling to help a cause that makes a difference in our area. I am especially grateful for the mentorship I have received from the medical team. Each volunteer is genuinely pleased to help our kitties and incredibly knowledgeable — I love constantly learning about all the complexities of veterinary medicine.
