Missoni (and Sharky) Bonded Pair
MISSONI is a petite brown tabby female kitten about 4 months old, with some pretty orange highlights. She is cautious at first with unknown humans but warms up quickly and appreciates a pet and a snuggle. She may be small in stature, but this little gem holds her own with the rough and tumble kitty boys she has grown up with. She loves to climb up high and observe the wild and crazy boys from the comfort of her perch on the cat tree. She loves to snuggle and purrs with content. Missoni lives up to her Italian name and is quite fond of human food – so you’ll need to be vigilant as she may steal some morsels from your plate. This little lady is quite the acrobat and enjoys exploring and jumping from cat tree to cat tree. When she is worn out, she cozies up like a pretzel in a warm place to sleep with her feline buddies. Offered as a bonded pair with Sharky (ID# 1808-C0374) for $195 for both. Missoni has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Meet them both at our partner PetSmart, 2847 Chad Dr., Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. The $195 adoption fee for both kittens helps us to continue rescue work in the Eugene/Springfield area. Send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1 for more information. Sharky (and Missoni) Bonded Pair
SHARKY is a cute little black and gray tabby male kitten about 4 ½ months old, with beautiful fluffy fur. He was rescued from a colony along with several other kittens, and came to live in a loving CRAN foster home. He is a little shy at first, but once he knows you, he is such a love and just wants to snuggle. Be forewarned, however, that he is a relentless snuggler at night – he’ll cuddle right up next to you with 1,000 kisses and knead on your chest until he falls asleep. Sharky loves his toys, and will run, play and chase them until he tires himself out, and then curls up on the cat tree with one of his kitty buddies to take a nap. Sharky has the faintest, sweetest cry or purr, which he often gives out when he wants attention. He loves his treats and a nice meal! Like most energetic young kittens, Sharky will do best in a home with another kitten or playful young animal. He is a special boy who deserves a loving home where he will receive a lot of attention and love. Sharky has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Offered as a Bonded Pair with Missoni (ID# 1807-C0277) for $195 for both. Meet them both at our partner PetSmart, 2847 Chad Dr., Eugene OR 97401. Loretta
LORETTA is a beautiful young solid black female kitty about a year old, with golden eyes and silky soft fur. She and her sister PATSY were rescued from a situation where they were living with a large group of cats in a small camper. They both were young moms with litters of kittens, and they were placed into a loving CRAN foster home. Loretta is the shyer of the two sisters – it will take her a little extra time to acclimate to a new environment. Once comfortable, both girls love human companionship and enjoy being petted. Like many adult kitties, they aren’t crazy about being picked up. They will need a quiet and gentle home with a relaxed atmosphere. They would likely adjust with time to being adopted separately, but would also be very happy to be adopted together – so we are offering a special sponsored adoption fee for the pair. Loretta has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. The adoption fee for Loretta alone is $100, and the fee for Patsy and Loretta adopted together is $140. You can meet her at our partner PetSmart, 2848 Chad Dr., Eugene OR 97401.97401. Tang and Sonny
TANG & SONNY are two handsome and sweet orange and white tabby bonded step-brothers who have lost their owners and are hoping to find their final forever home together. Sonny was initially adopted as a 4 month old kitten, and is now 6 years old. Tang (who is 10 years old) was adopted by this same owner from a relative who could no longer keep him. Sadly, this owner’s wife recently had to go into a memory care facility and he had to surrender the cats so he could move in with her. Sonny is shy and was definitely a mama’s boy. He loved his mom and would snooze on her lap and follow her around. In his foster home, he enjoys his booty scritches and hanging out in his cat tree -- and is getting more comfortable with each passing day. Tang’s fosters call him a “big, lovable lug” who loves everyone he meets. He is very dog-like and he will greet you at the door, follow you around, and talk to you. These two make a very balanced pair. Sonny’s fosters describe him as “A sweet, quiet, soul with eyes that really see you.” Sonny will need a slow start in his new home and a patient owner to help him adjust – while Tang will give you all the companionship you desire. Both cats have big purr motors, are very sweet and have never scratched or nipped. Tang and Sonny share their food and water and love to cuddle together in their cat tree. These boys have both had enough change in their lives and are ready to settle in to a true forever home. They are being offered at a special sponsored fee of $100 for the pair. Both Sonny and Tang have been neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV, are up to date on vaccinations, have been dewormed and deflead and are microchipped. These sweet step-brothers are currently in foster care. For more information or to meet them, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. Buster
BUSTER is a handsome young male kitty who is white with gray patches, sometimes called a “cow kitty”. He is estimated to be about 3 years old. He showed up on the doorstep of a staff member of a local vet, and after being unable to locate his owner, she brought him to work where all of his vet work was completed (he is in excellent health). Buster is very sweet, and loves to roll onto his back so that you can rub his tummy. He has a spunky personality, and when he has had enough of being held, he will jump down and rub on your legs or do belly flops. Buster needs to be an indoor-only kitty due to the fact that with his white fur, he is subject to getting skin cancer if outside. He seems to be fine with other mellow cats, but we are unsure how he is with dogs. This special boy will make an awesome lifetime cat companion. He has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Meet him at our partner Petco, 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at the store. Caval
CAVAL (rhymes with gravel) is an outgoing little 5 ½-month-old black and gray tabby male kitten with a friendly disposition. He was one of a litter of kittens born in their foster home to a stray momma cat, and he and his 4 brothers have had great fun wrestling and playing together. Caval enjoys playing with his cat toys (especially string toys and stuffed mice), runs circles around his brother kitties, and he definitely likes to help with any computer work! His playful and fun-loving personality really shines when he wants to get his people’s attention. He is a vocal kitty, who has the cutest little squeaky voice. He uses that cute voice to ‘coach’ his people when he believes they aren’t providing his meals quickly enough. Like most energetic young kittens, it is extremely important that Caval be in a home with another kitten or playful young cat that he can buddy up with. Caval has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Boris
Boris is a handsome black male teenage kitten who is about 8 months old. His foster mom describes him as a teenage human boy in kitten form. He walks with a cute teenage boy strut, with his tail confidently held up. When he is frightened, his tail puffs up to make him look brave and fierce. At heart, Boris is a gentle and inquisitive kitten. He loves to go, go, go and play chase with whatever toy is available. He especially likes to capture feather-on-a-stick toys and destroy the feathers. Boris will come to you for cuddles, and he appreciates people to respect his independent streak. He was rescued from an overcrowded home, where everyone competed for attention and for food. He learned that he doesn't have to scrap for food any more, and that human attention is kind and loving. Boris has had surgery to correct a condition called entropion, where his eyelids rolled inward with the eyelashes rubbing against his corneas. He still has a little tearing, but otherwise he is a healthy young boy-kitty, looking for a home of his own, and a playful young kitty friend to hang out with and share life's adventures. Boris has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Meet Boris at the cattery inside our PetSmart partner at 2858 Willamette Street, Eugene. Boots
BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired, male tuxedo cat about 12 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws and so needs to be an indoor-only fellow (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy with a soft purr until he has something to say and can then be quite a talker. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He is a good eater when he knows you are near. He's a funny guy with bursts of energy, running around like a spry young cat for 10-15 minutes. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. His favorite toy is a peacock feather - but just the pointy end! Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. As he becomes more comfortable in his new home, his behavior becomes more trusting. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free wellness exam. Boots' adoption fee is $60. He is currently in foster care. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID# 1609-C0518R. 10/14/18 10:48 PM

Lionardo
LIONARDO is an adorable little 4-month-old sleek black panther male kitten who is one of the sweetest, calmest kittens you will ever come across. Lionardo and his twin brother Trevi were part of a litter born to someone’s pet unfixed mama kitty, and the mom and her kittens were then surrendered to a CRAN volunteer who has lovingly raised them. These 2 brothers inherited their momma cat’s capacity for love and patience – they adore lap time and enjoy one-on-one with any human in the mood for cuddles. They enjoy chasing strings and dashing after their felt ball or stuffed mouse, capturing their prey. Both kittens have experienced the attention of young children who put them in sweatshirt pockets for safekeeping with no objection. They share a quiet disposition prone to long chats with you and cuddling in your bed. They would do best being adopted together, and are being sponsored by their foster mom at a special adoption fee of $190 for the pair (the normal fee is $130 per kitten). The foster mom for these little ones has found it difficult to give them up, but knows that the right match for these babies is out there! Lionardo has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kittys are currently in foster care. Amelia
AMELIA is a striking little 5-month-old black tortie female kitten with small spots of peach sprinkled in her fur. She is a bit shyer and more independent than her siblings, but is playful, energetic, sweet-tempered, and loving. She enjoys a game of tag and tumble with her littermates, chasing string toys with her chosen people, and will happily entertain herself for hours too. So far she has not shown herself to be a lap cat, but she loves to squish under furniture or climb to a high perch where she can look out and observe the human activity from safety. Amelia and her 4 siblings were born under a mobile home, and rescued at about 4 weeks old. She has now decided that life with humans is pretty darn good. She can be picky about the people she likes, but gives her heart completely once she decides a person meets her high standards. Amelia does well with other cats, and would do best in a home with another kitten or playful young cat. She is unsure about dogs and will need patient, cat-savvy kids to win her heart. Amelia has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. AURORA is a gorgeous 5-month-old female kitten who is a cross between a silver tabby and a dilute tortie, with cream and peach highlights that light up her sweet face, and a thin, extra-long tail. She is endearing, whip-snap smart, playful, and cuddly with just a bit of mischief. She loves to play with her littermates, with her chosen human, with string toys, boinks, the rattle mousie, the feather boa….with just about anything! She’s also thrilled when her chosen person arrives, and she will happily snuggle in for a good cuddling session and lap time. Aurora and her 4 siblings were born under a mobile home in Eugene, and rescued at about 4 weeks old. She has now decided that life with humans is pretty darn good. Like most active young kittens, she should be in a household with another kitten or playful young cat. She can be a little choosey about her humans, but gives her heart completely once she decides she likes you. Aurora thinks dogs are best watched from up high. Elsie
ELSIE is a cute and fluffy young brown tabby female kitty about 4 years old, who looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her. She considers herself to be royalty, and expects her subjects to do her bidding! Elsie prefers neck and chin scritches only, although she doesn’t object to very soft, light petting and brushing. She was surviving as a stray in a Creswell neighborhood, and was brought inside to live by a CRAN volunteer after she had a litter of kittens. The kittens are grown up and gone now, and Elsie was fixed with an ear tip so that she could be returned to the neighborhood; however, she immediately took up residence on the volunteer’s back porch, and cried and cried to come back inside. This girl clearly wants to live with humans, and to receive lots of love and attention! She will need a cat-savvy adopter who understands that she is a lively, playful, and very energetic young girl who is affectionate but who doesn’t like to be restrained. Elsie has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. He loves being cared for and will return your love twice over. He will melt into your lap whenever you sit down. He likes to start his day by rubbing his forehead on yours. If you give him a good shoulder rub, he kneads his paws and snorts in happiness. Indie loves to tackle stuffed animals and chase after fuzzy toy balls. Afterwards, he will head butt you for a back massage. He is curious, affectionate, and adaptable, and thrives with gentle handling. He is very playful with other cats, and would do best with another active young cat who would enjoy his rough and tumble. AGAVE & CHARLOTTE are a brother and sister pair of brown and gray tabby teenager kittens not quite 6 months old. They were born to a feral momma kitty who lived in a Springfield neighborhood, and were taken in to be fostered by a loving local resident. They were very shy at first, and will need a quiet household and time to acclimate to new surroundings. Agave is energetic and curious -- he is very agile, and loves to jump and pounce on his toys and on his sister. He is quite vocal, and will follow you around the house. Charlotte also loves to play, and will thrive with a patient and gentle adopter who will allow her loving personality to blossom (she likes to be held in your arms like a baby). Charlotte is VERY bonded to Agave, and will cry for him when separated, so it would be best if they are adopted together – thus we are offering them at a special sponsored adoption fee of $150 for the pair. Agave has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Agave & Charlotte are currently in foster care with a local vet, and can be easily visited by appointment. Hally and Sally
HALLY and SALLY are young black female teenager kittens about 14 months old (Sally has a small white patch on her chest). They were rescued as older kittens and put into a loving foster home – scared and afraid of humans at first, they have made great progress, and their playful personalities have blossomed. They love toys on strings, laser pointers, and little toy mice – and they will come when beckoned. They enjoy neck scratches and pets down their backs, but they are NOT yet fans of being picked up. They both love to climb and feel most comfortable on high perches. They are very friendly and accepting of other cats, but as shy cats, they can be bullied by a dominant kitty. They are great with the litter box, and with their scratching posts. These girls are ready for a quiet home and loving owners who are patient, encouraging, and kind as they slowly exhibit their bravery and trust in their new forever home. Shy kitties often make the most devoted lifelong companions! Hally and Sally are a bonded pair being adopted at a 2-for-1 special fee of $100, which allows us to continue to help cats in need. They have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Meet them at our partner Wags! Jackson
JACKSON is a cute and very sweet male teenager kitten about 7 ½ months old, who is white with a brown tabby cap, cape, and tail. When he was rescued by a CRAN volunteer during a heat wave, he was completely exhausted and slept for 16 hours straight. We don’t know how long he had been living on the streets, and it took him a while to get used to having regular meals and a safe, warm place to curl up. He is a rather shy, gentle guy, and never uses his claws on you. We think he would like a kitten or young cat companion (after a gradual, careful introduction), but he would also be fine as the only kitty. Jackson will be happiest in a calm household with a patient adopter who will give him plenty of time to acclimate. This little guy has such a lot of love to give! Normally his adoption fee would be $100, but he is being sponsored by his foster mom for a special fee of only $60. Foxy
FOXY is a quiet, polite older kitty about 13 1/2 years old, with a beautiful Russian-Blue type of coat. She lived her entire life with one person, but due to financial setbacks, he lost his home and began to live in his car – so Foxy came to CRAN in the hopes of finding a happy home to live out her golden years. She will ask you about your day with a sweet "meow?" She gets very excited when it's meal time, even though she has a teeny tiny appetite (she does enjoy “grazing” on her kibble all day). Foxy absolutely loves to find a soft, cushy spot to hang out in, preferably with the sun shining on her dense, gorgeous coat. She is pleased to allow her humans to brush her softly, and provide her with plenty of pets. Foxy does NOT like other cats. She is put off by kittens and their "rowdy" behavior. She has never lived with a dog or with young kids. She wants to be the queen kitty of your world, and she is confident that her charming personality will more than make up for her desire to be the only cat in your life. She has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Kitty is currently in foster care. KATHY is a darling, petite little female black and white tuxedo teenager kitty less than a year old, with the most adorable white markings on her funny little face! Kathy and her litter of babies were left behind by her owners in Oakridge when they were evicted from their home. While only a kitten herself when she got pregnant, she turned out to be a wonderful, nurturing mother and her beautiful kittens are weaned now. Although we don't know her background, she was clearly loved by people because she is a very trusting and affectionate kitty. Kathy will likely be shy at first in her new home, but will quickly show her fun and loving personality once she feels safe. She gets along fine with other cats, and will likely be fine with gentle, cat-savvy dogs and children. This sweet mama has given so much love to her babies -- now it is her turn to be loved and treasured by her lucky new forever person or family. Vinka is a shy but sweet female senior adult kitty about 11 years old, who is white with a gray mask and patches of gray on her back (sometimes called a “cow kitty”). She is partially blind with a touch of arthritis, but when she is comfortable with her surroundings, she paves a pathway which leads her back to her food, water, litterbox, and her favorite sunny spot. Vinka's human passed away and she was put outside to fend for herself. A nice neighbor fed her, but ultimately she was taken to a vet to be euthanized. Because the vet recognized a sweet girl with a gentle disposition, she was transferred to CRAN. She likes to be brushed and petted, and is definitely a lap cat. She shows her appreciation by licking her foster mom's fingers. She usually comes when called by name -- especially when it is mealtime – and she will answer with one of her cute little meows to let you know where she is. She is on a prescription diet that helps maintain her gastrointestinal health. She has great litterbox habits. Vinka has recovered from being dumped onto the streets, and with a kind and patient adopter who will allow her plenty of time to learn to trust, she will make a very loving companion. Vinka has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. Miss Honey
Are you up for the challenge of a wonderful, quirky calico cat? Inquisitive, outgoing and gorgeous, MISS HONEY is a striking young calico and tabby girl about 3 years old, who is a unique mixture of friendly and frightened. With people she trusts, she will purr non-stop just because you’re in the same room with her, quietly keep tabs on you while you work nearby, and then will romp after any toy that you offer – she will even play fetch with you! This sweetheart was rescued as a tiny kitten by a family who loved her dearly, but surrendered her to a shelter because of their own declining health. Sadly, the stresses of her environment combined with her sensitive personality brought on health issues for Miss Honey, and when she reached our care, she was suffering from an inflammation of her bladder. Her symptoms are now well managed through a combination of a quiet environment, a calming diet, a pheromone collar, and a patient foster mom. With each passing day, Honey is becoming healthier and more relaxed. This sweet girl will need time to trust new humans, and if you are up for that challenge, you will be rewarded with a unique relationship with a wonderfully personable calico queen kitty. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. As a special needs cat, her adoption fee is only $60.00, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. HOSHI PIPER is a beautiful Siamese mix female adult kitty with tortoiseshell coloring, about 6 years old. She was originally adopted as a kitten from our group in 2012, but her former family had to give her up when their living circumstances drastically changed and they could no longer keep her. Hoshi is quite the “queen cat” and thinks it is part of her job to be The Boss of the other foster kitties. She is so cute when she struts around being Little Miss Important Pants – so if she is going to live with another kitty, it had better be with one who can tolerate a pushy female (she would do best as the only cat). She doesn’t appear to be afraid of dogs, and likely could live with a friendly one. Her favorite thing in the world is a nice pile of catnip on a card-board scratcher, which she’ll roll around in until it’s all gone. This special girl is going to provide years of hilarious fun to the right family who will love and appreciate her! BLACK VELVET is a beautiful, fluffy solid black male kitty who is DECLAWED on his front paws. He is 11 years old. He was found as a stray in Springfield, and efforts to locate his owners were unsuccessful. Velvet has been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and he is a healthy boy (including his teeth!). He is a little shy in new situations and it will take him a bit of time to adjust, but once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate and very laid back boy. He loves to be held and petted, is good with cuddling, and will make a wonderful companion. He is very nondominant and REALLY enjoys being with other cats, so he would do best in a home with at least one other friendly cat. Because he is declawed, he must be an indoor-only cat. Velvet has a bit of an itchy skin, so he will need an inexpensive cortisone shot about every 3 or 4 months. Won't you give this sweet and quiet boy a safe and secure forever home? age is estimateSOPHIE SOPH is a quiet yet playful, short-haired 3-year-old beautiful black female kitty. She loves jumping wildly through the air while playing with her wand toys. She likes being gently petted and snuggling on the bed, but she has boundaries and wants to be in control of the amount of her interactions. It takes her awhile to acclimate to a new situation, but when she does, she will give head-butts, enjoys being kissed on her forehead, and loves gentle chin and ear rubs. When she is content, she likes to lie upside down on the floor with her tummy in the air. She isn't very needy, and is so quiet you have to keep an eye out for her sometimes. However, once she is bonded to you, she doesn't like being separated from her people, and will scratch at a closed door. She isn't a big fan of other cats, and would prefer to be the only cat in the household. She can be a bit unpredictable until she has settled in, and may occasionally give you a whack with her paws, so she would not be good in a home with young kids or a fragile senior. Sophie was a neighborhood stray being cared for by a friendly neighbor, until she was rescued and put into a loving CRAN foster home. PURRLIE is a gorgeous, all white, 5 year-old female kitty that likes to make the rules and expects everyone around her to tow the line. She wants what she wants, and she will let you know what she wants in no uncertain terms – thus an experienced cat fancier that appreciates an independent, strong-minded feline is the right match for Miss Purrlie. Her smile-inducing acrobatics while playing with a string toy, her love of being stroked and petted, and her charming conversations (see picture) will be your reward. Since she expects to be the primary focus of your affection, other cats or small children in the home would not be desirable. But a cat perch by a sunny window and your vow to love her will win this kitty’s heart. Purrlie was declawed by her former owners (which could be why she’s so picky now about who she trusts!), so her new family will need to know that she sometimes feels very vulnerable and a quiet, gentle touch will help her from feeling defensive. Valentino
age is guesstamitMy name is VALENTINO, and I’m a solid black adult male kitty about 12 years old, who was rescued on Valentine’s day in 2017. I was cold, hungry, and very frightened -- and was brought inside half frozen by the kind staff at a local veterinary clinic. The staff warmed my cold body, provided medical care for my aches and pains, and fed me until I wasn't hungry. I am completely recovered, my teeth have been cleaned, and all of my blood work is normal. I now live in a foster home, where I like to watch the world from a safe spot -- I especially like to sit in a quiet cubby and meow at my human caretakers. I am somewhat reserved, and I definitely like to have my own space, but I do appreciate gentle attention from my humans, head scritches, ear massages, and quiet conversation. Do you have a warm place in your heart and your home, to give me a forever home, so that I won't have to be cold, hungry and frightened ever again? VALENTINO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and his adoption fee is $60. If you are interested in meeting Valentino, please submit an adoption application for consideration either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will then follow-up for next steps. For more information, send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID# 1706-C0219V 10/14/18 10:48 PM

Nora
NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. Nora is currently in foster care. To meet her or for more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID# 1310-C0468. 10/14/18 10:48 PM

Gretel
GRETEL is an affectionate 7 ½ year old female tabby cat who loves to sit on everyone’s lap. This big girl boasts large green eyes and beautifully patterned dark brown and gray fur. She has many wonderful qualities including being comfortable with visitors, assisting her loved ones at the computer, understanding house rules on claws, singing opera (she does like to use her voice!), and practicing napping skills on her foster parents' bed. Gretel was surrendered to a local vet for euthanasia because of her digestive issues, and was instead brought to a loving CRAN foster home to be cared for. She has an excellent appetite and is on a special diet for sensitive stomachs, which is doing the trick – along with an inexpensive steroid to aid in digestion. She would probably do best as an only pet to help keep her comfortable and happy, and in a quieter home without very young kids. Gretel (and her adorable, friendly personality) is just waiting for a stable forever home where she can be loved and love you back in return! GRETEL has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Sponsored Adoption?ZOE is a cute little adult black and white tuxedo female kitty about 12 years old. She was brought into a local vet and surrendered as a very frightened and upset kitty – she may have been abused in her past – but she has settled down now, and is very outgoing and affectionate. She adores being petted and loves all the attention she can get. She is very scared and stressed by dogs, and is not a fan of other cats, although she has done well in foster care with a mellow older male kitty. Zoe needs a quiet home and a kind-hearted adopter who is willing to give this older adult with a difficult past a chance at a new life – and they will be rewarded with a devoted and loving companion. Zoe has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Meet Queen Habibi (aka “BIBI”), a big, beautiful black, gold, and white 4-year-old female kitty with soft fluffy fur, and the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico. This beautiful girl was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal asthma. To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tablet daily of an inexpensive medication, which she readily accepts. She has lived with friendly cats in the past, but her reserved personality indicates that she might do best as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. This gorgeous, wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and lots of love. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? Habibi has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Zuri
ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee!! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me, me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty not quite 3 years old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. I was surrendered by my adopters because their other cat was bullying me, and keeping me cornered and stressed. I have been treated for a urinary tract infection, but I am healthy now and using my box regularly. I will need to stay on a standard urinary tract health diet, and would probably do best as an only cat. I have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (I am negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. My special adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Special Promotion - Adoption Fee Waived through July 4 TAMMY is a shy and very sweet young female kitty about 3 years old with plush black fur. She was born to a neighborhood stray (and spayed with an ear tip), and went to live in a loving foster home where she learned to trust people. She was adopted as a kitten, but her first owner passed away. Tammy is active and playful, but it takes her a while to acclimate to a new situation or new people. Once you've earned her trust, however, she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. Tammy needs to be the "top banana”, but she might be OK with a nondominant younger kitty. She will thrive in a quiet home without young children. She is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 10/14/18 10:48 PM
