Midge
BONDED PAIR WITH TORREY #1907-C0369 MIDGE is a petite dilute tortoiseshell female kitten with swirls of patches of grey, white, and peach, about 6 months old. Midge is a sweet little girl who loves snoozing in her hammock. Though she's shy, with a little time and patience, she'll warm right up. Midge isn't a fan of dogs, but she does well with other cats if she's slowly introduced. Midge and her seven siblings, along with their mother, were rescued as strays by two kind women and thrived in a loving foster family where she developed a strong bond with her mother Torrey. Midge is very bonded with Torrey and they must be adopted together - thus we are offering them at a special sponsored price of $175 for the pair (normally $240 for one young cat and kitten). Midge will make a loving and devoted companion with a patient and understanding adopter. Midge has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Midge in her foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! MARILYN is a gorgeous medium-haired black and white tuxedo female kitten, about 4 months old. She got her name from the cute black "beauty mark" on her otherwise white muzzle. She loves anything that will roll on the floor or fly across the room if she bats it with her paw. Marilyn is an amazing girl who plays hard but purrs even louder. Marilyn and her five siblings, along with their mother, came to our cat rescue group when they were tiny and they have thrived in their loving foster home. Black Velvet
To help Black Velvet find a home for the holidays, we are reducing his adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ BLACK VELVET is a beautiful, fluffy solid black male kitty who is DECLAWED on his front paws, about 15 years old. Once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate and very laid back boy. He loves to be held and petted and enjoys cuddle time. Black Velvet is very non-dominant, truly enjoys the company of mellow cats and would thrive in a home with at least one other friendly cat. Because he is declawed, he must enjoy the luxuries of an indoor-only life. Black Velvet requires a thyroid pill twice a day (which is easily administered) and has some minor asthma problems that are kept in check with a cortisone shot about every 3 months. This sweet, quiet boy is looking for his safe and secure forever home with someone who is home a lot to keep him company and provide him lots of attention. Black Velvet has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. IO (pronounced Eye-O) is a roly-poly 6-month-old solid black male kitten with vibrant, fall-colored eyes. He definitely likes to eat, and he enjoys relaxing on the couch. IO was rescued with a group of kittens from a colony in Springfield, and though he can be a shy kitten, once he feels safe and secure he becomes a big ball of purring love. He's not a fan of quick movements, but as soon as he realizes he's in no danger, he'll settle right down again. She and her siblings came to our cat rescue group as small kittens after they were discovered living in a woodpile at a local mill. Adelie is a sweet and loving girl who is looking for a family who doesn't mind giving her a little extra time to warm up and show her true personality. As a young and active kitty it is critical that she be adopted into a home with another playful young cat (like her sister, Sooty, also available for adoption). Adelie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Adelie in her foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Dr.) or Wags! SOOTY is a sleek, short haired black and white female kitty, about to be 6 months old. She has unique black markings on her face and back that make her look like she is wearing a little mask and cape. Sooty is a sweet girl with a shy nature. She adores playing with a feather wand toy! Sooty has been living with her sister, Adelie (also available for adoption), and she is a great source of comfort for her. When meeting new people Sooty prefers to be cuddled along with her sister, for extra security. On her own she may be somewhat hesitant until she gets to know you. Sooty and her siblings were taken in for fostering after a volunteer from our cat rescue group discovered they were living in a woodpile at a local mill. Sooty is a very sweet girl who is looking for a loving home with patient adopters who will let her have her own space while she opens up to them. Pounce
POUNCE is a beautiful medium-haired tabby male kitten, about 5 months old. He is white with black and brown tabby markings on his silky coat and cute little white ear tufts. He has a white triangle on his sweet little face and a striped saddle on his back with a streak of white running through the middle. Pounce was somewhat shy at first, but warmed up quickly to his foster mama and now enjoys being petted and even tolerates being picked up when he's in the mood. He has a wonderful purr and will roll on his back, and let anyone scratch his chin, and pet his ultra-soft fur. Pounce and his siblings can go forever doing amazing ninja tricks, leaps, tumbles and rolls. He loves the wand toys and especially the ground prey toy, and is skilled at catching them. When playtime is over, Pounce will lounge around in the cutest positions. He will come up to his foster mama and flop against her, asking to be petted, and then when he's done resting, scurry away for more playtime. Pounce and his two sisters were discovered as strays in a kind lady's backyard, and were surrendered to our cat rescue group for fostering. As an active young kitten, it is critical for Pounce to be adopted into a home with another kitten (such as one of his sisters Puck or Packer) or a young playful cat in the home. Pounce is a delightful kitten who is going to turn into a gorgeous full grown cat. His gentle and playful demeanor makes him a wonderful feline companion for someone with a relatively quiet home. Pounce has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Pounce in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! PETER PAN is a handsome 2-year-old Manx fellow with a cute little tufted tail like a bunny. He also has big jack rabbit back feet to match and oversized front paws. Peter Pan has a bit of a swagger when he walks, which just adds to his adorable bunny-esque looks. He has a rich golden-brown, medium-length coat, with tabby stripes, a white chin and chest, and bright pumpkin eyes. With his tabby coat and short tail, he looks just like a mini bob-cat. He is very mellow and not easily agitated. Even the vet remarked how good-natured he was for his exam and vaccines. He will give chase for a wand toy, and especially likes toys that make bird sounds, but never gets too crazy when he plays. Peter Pan would rather curl up on your lap and take it easy. Peter Pan and his sister Tilver were found abandoned on a road, where a concerned couple started feeding them on their porch. They were able to catch and care for Tilver first, and then happily reunite her with Peter Pan after a month of coaxing the more cautious brother to be taken into foster care. Tilver is a sweet and doting sister who adores her brother, Peter Pan. We recommend them to be adopted together; however, it is not required. They are being offered at a special sponsored adoption fee of $175 for the pair (normally $225 for 2 young cats). Her favorites are wand toys with feathers and round fleece-type balls that she can bat around. She is especially fascinated by all things with feathers, but loves to hunt and pounce on any toy she can find! Tilver is a brave beastie who would love a family to protect from any pesky stuffed mice that would dare to cross her path. Tilver is used to being the protector in the family and caring for her brother, Peter Pan, whom she is inseparably bonded with. Tilver and Peter Pan were found abandoned on a road, where a concerned couple started feeding them on their porch. PIPPY is a sweet and playful 2-year-old female kitty, who is white with a blanket of black and brown tabby markings on her head, back and tail. She has an adorable pink nose and lovely green eyes. While Pippy's an independent girl, she's also very affectionate, and loves a good ear or back scratch. She's got a frisky side and enjoys playing with ping pong balls and her tail. Pippy can be a bit shy at first, but she will show you her loving and gentle nature once she's had time to assess the situation. She prefers to come to you, and she'll reward you with a rumbling purr once she feels safe. While she's not exactly a lap cat, she tolerates being held like a baby, and she always wants to be around people. She'll happily share your bed and dive under the covers. Her favorite place is in the window watching squirrels and birds outside. Pippy was surrendered by a couple who could no longer look after her and has thrived in her loving foster home. It is unknown how Pippy will do around dogs or other cats, but she should be fine with cat-savvy kids. Pippy was an outdoor cat, and while she has acclimated well to being indoors in her foster home, she might be happiest in an indoor/outdoor household as long as it has a very SAFE, CLOSED OFF outdoor space, or where there is a roomy catio for her to enjoy. This sweet girl is so deserving of a wonderful, stable forever home and has lots of love to give to a lucky person or family. Spruce
SPRUCE is a sweet 2 1/2-month-old male kitten who is mostly white with black patches (sometimes called a "cow kitty") and piercing olive eyes. Once the smallest of his litter, Spruce is now full of confidence! When he's not playing, he's usually found snuggled up with one of his siblings. Like a lot of cats, he loves playing with boxes - climbing in and hiding so he can jump out and startle his siblings. Spruce loves to be held like a baby and he will playfully grab your fingers with his little pink jellybean toes. Spruce and his siblings were brought to our cat rescue group after someone left them in a box on a doorstep at about a week old. They've learned to love people, are curious about dogs, good with other cats, and do well with children. As an active and sociable young kitten, it is very important that Spruce be adopted into a household with another kitten (such as one of his siblings Aspen, Hawthorn or Laurel) or where there is another playful young cat in the home. Spruce is a cuddly sweetheart who just wants to be loved, and he'll make an excellent addition to any household. Spruce has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Spruce in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! HAWTHORN is a gorgeous 2 1/2-month-old black and brown tabby male kitten with a velvety coat that has earned him the nickname 'little bear' for its fluffy, bear-like resemblance. Although the biggest of his litter, this handsome hunk has a gentle, mellow side. While he's good at entertaining himself, he loves to play with his littermates and wrestle with his brother, Spruce. After a play session, he loves to snuggle up on his human's lap and purr away. Hawthorn isn't a fan of loud noises, as they startle him, but with some encouragement, he overcomes it quickly. Hawthorn and his littermates were brought to our cat rescue group after someone left them in a box on a doorstep at about a week old. Hawthorn is a bit shy, he might do well with older cat-savvy kids. Hawthorn would benefit greatly from being adopted into a home with one of his siblings (Aspen, Laurel or Spruce), or where there is a friendly and nurturing young cat to help him acclimate. Hawthorn is a sweet and gentle boy with lots of love to give! BUTTON is a handsome and friendly black and white tuxedo male kitten with a luxuriant short coat and the cutest little kinked tail, about 5 months old. He loves being petted, purring and leaning into your hand and snuggling into your lap. Button is an affectionate companion to his siblings, but still a playful little boy who likes playing with string toys and crinkle balls. When he's not playing, he is often found curled up and sleeping with a sibling, like Specs (also available for adoption). Button and his three siblings were living under an apartment and rescued as scared older kittens in an alley nearby. All have thrived in a loving foster home with other cats and gentle, cat-savvy kids. Button was the first of his litter to open up to humans, enjoying their attention and purring away. BRENDA is a sweet dilute calico girl with distinctive eyebrows and a fashionable white bib, about 7 months old. She is a conversation starter! By that we mean Brenda wants to have a conversation with you and tell you all about her day. She is playful with her brothers and is the bravest one of her litter. She'll be the first one to explore new nooks and crannies in her home. Brenda and her two brothers were rescued from the streets of Eugene when they were small and in need of help. Brenda has tested FIV positive but she is only 7 months old and should be re-tested when she is a little older. Both of Brenda's brothers tested negative and it's possible that Brenda still has the antibodies for FIV from her mother. Even if she remains FIV positive, it is now known that an FIV positive cat can live a healthy, normal life. FIV cannot be passed to humans or dogs, can only be passed to another cat through a deep bite wound. Brenda has been tested negative for feline leukemia, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. You can meet Brenda at the cattery inside our partner Wags! Dog & Cat Emporium, 136 Oakway Rd., Eugene, Oregon 97401. Sizzle would love to have a nice window perch in her new home where she can watch the world go by. Sizzle and her brother Kit (available for adoption, at PetSmart on Chad Drive) were rescued from a neighborhood overpopulated with unfixed cats, and went to live in a loving foster home where they thrived, and she's still learning not to be shy. Trudy is a bit shy at first in new surroundings, but once she feels safe, she is super affectionate and loving. She races to you when you come in the door and rolls around for pets and belly rubs. She wants to sit on your lap and to be a part of all the happenings in your household. Feline leukemia kitties typically lead a healthy life until they reach the end of their disease. Her lifespan will likely be shorter than that of a normal cat, but Trudy is currently in excellent health, and should have many more years to bring joy into the lives of her lucky new forever person or family. To help BJ, Maddy and Maisy find a home for the holidays, we are reducing their adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ MAISY is a gorgeous, long-haired, 12-year-old sweetie. She's got a luscious, fluffy white tummy, tabby spots in rich shades of brown, grey, and honey, and a delightful plume tail. Her sweet face and colorful coat reflect her affectionate and colorful personality. This lovely lady is always looking for attention from her humans and never gets enough pets. Maisy loves to cuddle up on your lap and join you on the couch while you watch your favorite shows. She is perfectly content laying around all day in the company of her humans and her siblings. Maisy will ask for pets by stretching out on her back and presenting her irresistibly cute and fluffy tummy. She always has a curious, delightful expression on her face you can't help but fall in love with. Maisy recently had lab work done and showed elevated thyroid levels, luckily this is manageable with a tiny daily pill that can be easily hidden in wet food. Maisy and her sweet siblings BJ and Maddy came to our cat rescue group after their human passed away. They are incredibly bonded, and after going through the loss of their person, it is essential that they are adopted together. If you are looking for a lovey snuggle bug to spend quality coach time with, Maisy would love to warm your heart and your lap! Maisy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Billy the Kid
BILLY THE KID is a playful and sweet solid black male kitten, about 4 months old. This energetic little guy loves to climb and wrestle and will make friends. His favorite hangout is his pop-up tent, where he will hide, waiting for an unsuspecting playmate that he can pounce on! At the end of a busy day, Billy will settle down for a snuggle and some sleep before it's back to running and jumping and playing for this spunky boy! Billy was rescued as the only surviving kitten in his litter, with a stray young mom Cynthia (also available for adoption) and taken to our cat rescue group for fostering. As an active and young kitten, it is critical that Billy the Kid be adopted into a home with another kitten or young cat for companionship. Billy gets along great with other cats, but is afraid of dogs and young children, therefore he would do best in a home with older, cat-savvy kids. Billy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. You can meet Billy the Kid at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart, 2847 Chad Dr., Eugene, OR 97408. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at CatRescues.org/Cat or paper copy available at the store. M&M
M&M is a short-haired male kitten with silky black fur, about 4 months old. M&M has paws that remind you of jelly beans or chocolate chips with a soft cocoa tummy to match. M&M can be distinguished from his sable siblings by his gorgeous green eyes and a slight crook in his tail, which is shorter than his littermates'. M&M is a super sweet and cuddly boy. He purrs like a John Deere tractor whenever you pet him or when he's ready to nap. He enjoys perching on your shoulder like a parrot when he's not pursuing his sisters, Nestle and Starburst, or brother Nutella. When he loses track of his foster human, he will meow until she reassures him that she's nearby. His favorite toys are soft felt mice and a feather wand which he leaps high into the air to catch. Quite the athlete, M&M is almost able to balance on his hind legs as he reaches for the wand. M&M's siblings find him to be their favorite cuddle buddy at bedtime, possibly attracted by his loud purr, so it is critical that he be adopted with one of his siblings. M&M and his three siblings were found by an elderly gentleman nearby a car dealership off Hwy 99 and surrendered to our cat rescue group. M&M and his siblings (Nutella, Starburst or Nestle) are so bonded, they have a special, sponsored adoption fee of $200 a pair (normally $140 per kitten or $260/2 kittens). NESTLE is a scrumptious, short-haired female kitten, about 4 months old. Nestle's name originates from her chocolate brown and black silky coat and the nature of her personality which is total sweetness. She shares with her siblings Nutella, Starburst and M&M, a brown cocoa colored tummy that she enjoys having rubbed at naptime. Nestle can be distinguished from her siblings by her brilliant golden eyes and by a tiny patch of about 20 white hairs on her throat. Nestle's personality is the perfect balance of playful and gentle. Like her sister, Starburst, Nestle is close to mastering the art of balancing on her hind legs while trying to snatch a string or feather wand. She is also adept at leaping into the air to catch felt mice in mid-air. Similar to her siblings, she plays no favorites and joins in with whatever chase is happening. Nestle has a loving, cuddly side as well, seeking out her foster human on the sofa for a quick nap or in joining her siblings in a puddle of chocolate as they curl up together at the end of the evening. Exceptionally bonded with her brothers Nutella and M&M and sister, Starburst, it is critical that she be adopted with one of them. Nutella
NUTELLA is a short-haired male kitten, about 4 months old. Nutella, like his name suggests, is a sweet treat, with a shiny fur coat that looks both deep brown and black, depending upon the lighting. Nutella can be distinguished from his sable siblings by his soft amber eyes and a slight bend at the end of his tail, which is longer and thinner than his brother M&M's. Nutella can be both playful and cuddly and is respectful of the foster family's two older cats. He enjoys trying to catch toy mice in mid-air and chasing his sisters throughout the house until he gets distracted by a felt ball or abandoned string. Like his siblings, he loves to nestle with his foster human and nap after an exhausting afternoon of play. He may be developing an interest in cooking as he often politely sits on a stool, watching his foster human prepare dinner. Nutella's special talents are in his dash and dart, hide and pounce abilities. Never a bully, he is a gentle playmate who sometimes concedes to his super athletic sister, Starburst. Nutella is bonded with all his littermates and doesn't play favorites so he can be adopted with any of his siblings. Nutella and his three siblings were found by an elderly gentleman nearby a car dealership off Hwy 99 and surrendered to our cat rescue group. STARBURST is a delectable short-haired female kitten, with a dark coat in shades of chocolate and licorice. Starburst has two distinguishing white marks, one on her throat and one on her tummy, and glistening green eyes that shine against her dark fur. Starburst is the gymnastic star in her family, named for her bursts of energy. Starburst is a match for any of her playful siblings, Nutella, Nestle and M&M. She is the leader of the litter, bold and brave, who is the first to try out new tricks when tempted with feathers and wands. She has almost perfected the art of balancing on her hind legs while attempting to snag a string or capture a feather wand. Next up, the balance beam? Along with her athletic prowess, Starburst is a serious cuddle bug with a purr to match. When you reach down to pet her, she leans in and obliges with a loving return of affection. Starburst does not hesitate to chase down her siblings and snatch their prey, usually a favorite tiny felt mouse. She has a cute trick of collecting her toys and depositing them in a cardboard box or in a pile on the floor. Exceptionally bonded with her brothers Nutella and M&M and sister, Nestle, it is critical that she be adopted with one of them. To help Mitzi find a home for the holidays, we are reducing her adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ MITZI is a perky young black and white short-haired female kitty about 3 1/2 years old. She was a sweet and friendly little girl whose world changed when her owners got another cat. She became anxious and stressed, and attacked her own tail until it had to be amputated. She lived for 8 months at the vet's office, where with lots of TLC and some anti-anxiety medications, she has reverted back to her sweet self. She loves attention and being petted, and bonds strongly with most people - but she can be fearful of new people and environments, and will occasionally swat. Mitzi LOVES to play with toys - feathers on a stick and lasers are her favorite. She is a cat with a lively personality, and she will need a very cat-savvy household with a quiet environment and plenty of exploration space (she adores cat trees). She should be in a home with no other cats and dogs, and during periods of transition she may require her anti-anxiety medication (which she readily accepts in her food). Mitzi is now living in a loving foster home, is litterbox trained, and is in excellent health. This young girl is ready to meet her new forever family! KIT is a 6-month-old black and brown tabby male with golden eyes and short, silky-smooth fur. He's a calm and independent boy, and though he's shy, he's very sweet and loving. Kit was originally part of a project that was spaying and neutering cats in a cat colony (hence his ear tip), but during his recovery, his rescuer soon realized, though, that this sweet boy is a gentle soul, and he belongs indoors with a family. Since he is shy, Kit would benefit from being adopted into a home with another kitten (such as his sibling Sizzle), or where there is a friendly and nurturing young cat. He's not a fan of loud noises or strangers, but when things are quiet, he'll come out of his cubby and look for his people. Though Kit will need and understanding and patient home, whoever adopts him will be rewarded with an extremely loving and sweet companion for life. Kit has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. You can meet Kit at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart, 2847 Chad Dr., Eugene, OR 97408. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at CatRescues.org/Cat or paper copy available at the store. The $140 ($260/ 2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. CASH and JULEP are a sweet, bonded brother-sister pair, about 5 months old. CASH is a black male kitten with one adorable white eyebrow. JULEP is a dark tortoiseshell female kitten, with beautiful markings that include a perfect divide right down her precious half-orange, half-black face. Cash loves people and has a great motor that he always keeps running. He loves to play, cuddle on the couch, and make biscuits on your lap. When he finds a toy he likes he will pick it up in his mouth and carry it around the house with him. He will even give his sister Julep a little growl if he thinks she is trying to take his catch! Julep is wonderful with people, always greeting you with a friendly purr. She has the charm of a person that you meet that you instantly want to be friends with. She likes to play with her toys and will carry them in her mouth like her brother. Cash has one eye that does not open completely because of scar tissue from damage that occurred before he was rescued, his other eye is completely normal. Julep also has one eye that never developed properly, but can see just fine with her other eye. She can be a bit cautious in new situations, taking a bit more time to learn her surroundings with her vision in only one eye. She will need a patient and gentle home, where she will be reassured and encouraged while she gets comfortable in her new environment. Cash and Julep were found at just a few weeks old under a house that was scheduled to be demolished. Cash is such a happy and brave kitten, and Julep so warm and gentle, they have so much love to give and will be an absolute joy to the right home. Because Cash and Julep are so bonded, we are offering a special sponsored adoption fee $210 for the pair (normally $260 for 2 kittens). They have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), altered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Fwedwick
FWEDWICK is a handsome medium-haired buff tabby male young kitty with a fluffy plume tail, just over a year old. He may be timid and cautious with new people and situations and will quickly accept attention and begin interaction when calmly approached. Once he is confident with his surroundings and people he becomes an active, playful kitten in an adult cat body! He loves to roughhouse. His favorite toys are rolling cat toys, boxes to hide and jump out of, and cardboard or carpet scratchers. He comes running when he is called (or when anyone is called. . . ) and just loves the attention! Fwedwick gets along with non-assertive cats, especially when they like to play and run around with him. His gregarious personality will fit best with other playful kittens and young playful cats. He enjoys being petted and will roll over to have his belly rubbed. He luxuriates in the pleasure of being brushed and responds with a loud purr that he uses often! He likes to nap and sleep with his people and will nudge your hand, face, or ears with his nose if he thinks he must have more affection before he falls asleep. He just wants to love and be loved. He does well with the little dog in his foster home but is somewhat intimidated by the big dog. He is good with gentle, older children and plays with the foster's 6-year-old granddaughter and enjoys being carried around with her and brushed by her. He does not miss a meal and is crazy about canned food and treats and likes to use the bathroom sink at times for a drink of fresh water. Fwedwick was rescued from a community cat colony in Springfield and went to live in a loving foster home where he has thrived. Currently (Nov. 2019), Fwedwick is having some difficulty with his mouth/teeth and a dental is scheduled for Dec. 6 for several extractions. It is anticipated he will continue to be a happy kitty (with a few less teeth~) after recovery. Fwedwick has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) which means he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime. He's a healthy, vigorous boy and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or people and only through a deep bite wound to other cats. Fwedwick is ready to inspire your life with his love and affection. You can't help but be captivated by his sweet gentle eyes. Fwedwick has tested negative for feline leukemia, and has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus free vet wellness visit included. Meet Fwedwick in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! HAZEL is a gorgeous, petite, brown and black ticked tabby female who loves to play with humans, other cats and independently too! Still a kitten at heart (and only 1 year young), Hazel loves to climb high on the cat post, birdwatch from the window sill, wrestle with her 3 growing boys, and play with anything that rolls or can be batted about. She is even okay with cat-savvy dogs! She is energetic and fun-loving! Once she's run off her zoomies, she will cuddle up in a quiet corner for a nap and happily accept your caresses and adoration. Hazel was born in an orchard in Springfield, daughter of Elizabeth (who is also available for adoption). Hazel gave birth to her first litter in the orchard, then she and her 3 boys were brought into foster together. She has flourished in the safety of her foster home and even become friends with the resident cat-loving dogs. She is usually cautious with new people at first but then warms up and, with a gentle introduction, will likely be okay with cat-savvy kids. Duck
To help Duck find a home for the holidays, we are reducing her adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ DUCK is a petite medium-haired black and white tuxedo female kitty with dazzling golden eyes, about 5 years old. She is a very affectionate girl who loves her humans, but she wants to be your one and only. Duck loves to snuggle and has a very sweet personality. She lets her foster mom hold her and is patient when she administer her meds. Once you sit down, she will instantly jump into your lap purring, making biscuits. It seems Duck was abandoned by a previous owner and had a tough time before entering foster care. She can be startled by sudden movements and will require a QUIET household with someone gentle and understanding to work with her. She has always been loving to her foster mom, but she wouldn't do well with littles who are still learning how to be around critters. She could take or leave most toys but will really get excited for the laser pointer. Duck was found as a spayed stray and taken in by our cat rescue group for fostering. Duck has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) which means that she must be an indoor-only kitty for her lifetime - but with some precautions to protect her immune system, she will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound - thus Duck should be an only cat (which she prefers). Duck is a sweet and special girl who would do well in a quiet home with an experienced cat-savvy parent. Please Note: Duck is a serious lover and when she gets really excited may express her affection with firm 'love bites' - her best home will be with cat-savvy adults only. Davin
DAVIN is an affectionate solid black young male kitty, with very distinctive black lips, about a year old. He is very friendly and loves people of all ages. Davin loves chasing toys, feathers, balls, dogs and other cats in his foster home! Even though Davin is very playful, he genuinely loves and seeks out human attention. He will come sit with his humans on the couch or bed, purring madly with happy drools for hours. He has an independent nature and likes to do his own thing on his own terms. Davin gets along well with friendly dogs and other cats, as long as they can tolerate his assertiveness, so he needs to be in a home with another young, playful cat. Davin was previously adopted but surrendered when his canine companion tragically passed away and they could not bear the responsibility of adopting another companion for him. This is a loving and well-mannered boy who will make a wonderful addition in any home! Please note that Davin is currently on a prescription urinary tract health diet, but otherwise he's in tip-top shape. Davin has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Davin in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! Dog Emporium. His $120 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Peppermint
To help Peppermint find a home for the holidays, we are reducing her adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ PEPPERMINT is a long-haired female tortoiseshell kitty who is estimated to be around 6 years old. She has the most darling ear tufts and she seems to know that they make her especially cute! Peppermint was taken in by a kind gentleman who found her outside his home, and after being surrendered to our cat rescue group, she has been thriving in one of our foster's homes. Peppermint loves to play and jump onto high places! She is very social and still has a very kitten-like personality, curious and friendly. Peppermint tested positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV) but she is currently a healthy girl (we have thoroughly checked her out, and her bloodwork shows the virus has not entered her bone marrow), so the prognosis is good that she has many years of life left in her. Peppermint would do well in a home with another FeLV+ kitty. Peppermint has tested negative for FIV, is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free wellness exam. Meet Peppermint in her foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Dr.) or Wags! To help Princess find a home for the holidays, we are reducing her adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ PRINCESS is an affectionate fluffy, long-haired brown tabby female kitty, about 4 1/2 years old. This charming lady has been living behind a disguise for several months! When she was rescued by a kind man, her disguise was something called an eosinophilic granuloma -- a fancy scientific word for a fat lip! With good medical care, Princess' lip has returned to its previously beautiful state. She has been on a course of prednisolone, under the care of a skilled veterinarian, and her health has steadily improved. In her foster home she has enjoyed playing with her catnip mice and scratching on sturdy scratching posts. She likes to be by the window to gaze outside and nap in the sun. Princess is full of big purrs and loves to be petted & brushed. Princess loves the companionship of humans, but she does not trust nor does she like other cats. She enjoys receiving attention from children who have been taught to respect a beautiful princess like herself. Loud noises frighten her, as do sudden movements. Princess is looking forward to finding her forever royal residence with the right family. Princess has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), was already spayed when she was rescued, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. dob is estimate To help Samantha find a home for the holidays, we are reducing her adoption fee by 50% until January 2nd. For more information: https://catrescues.org/home-for-the-holidays-2/ SAMANTHA is a very special, fluffy black girl kitty about 10 1/2 years old. She was nearly dead when found by a kindly woman in Oakridge. It was soon discovered that Samantha had an easily treatable thyroid imbalance and within a month had completely regained her health and is now a beautiful, loving and affectionate cat. All she needs to stay healthy is a small, inexpensive half-pill twice daily for the rest of her life (the cost is under $10 per month). Samantha loves to be picked up and stroked, sit on your lap and happily cuddle with her human. She has a calm and gentle demeanor and will thrive in a quiet, stable household. She gets along fine with other mellow, non-aggressive cats. This sweet and lovely girl has a tremendous amount of love to give to her lucky person or people. Samantha has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Samantha is currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at CatRescues.org/Cat or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE Cats in these pictures, may or may not be available for adoptions] Cat Rescue & Adoption Network foster families give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. We always need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955 or fill out a foster application by following this link.
