Gable
My name is GABLE, I am a cheerful and energetic black and white tuxedo young male kitty, about one year old. I have a cat tale for you! (Tail, Tale, get it?) I was brought to a local veterinary clinic with a badly injured tail. The veterinarian who took care of me said that someone chomped, hard, on my tail, near the base. Broke it into teeny tiny pieces, left me with an infection. Medical care and lots of tender loving care in my foster home have cleared up my infection, and now for part 2 of my tale - tail - tale. I love everybody. Everybody! I have to confess, loud dogs and fireworks scare the socks off of me -- and by the way, aren't my socks cute? If you have an available lap for me to explore, I will hop into your lap, hop out, and hop back in after some play time. Did I mention play? I love to play! Bring me a toy on a stick, or Da Bird, or a shoelace, and I will demonstrate my skills. Offer me some catnip mice, and I am a great hunter! Or just crinkle up some paper and watch me go to work. I would probably like a buddy to hang out with in my new home - a cheerful, playful cat like me, or an easygoing dog might make purrfect companions - happy tales coming up! Gable has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. . Sawyer .
 . Sawyer . . Sawyer .
Sawyer
SAWYER is a solid black female kitten, with little white patches on her chin and belly, about 5 months old. She can be timid with people at first, but loves affection from time to time. She can be independent and capable of entertaining herself when necessary, it is delightful to see how much fun she can have with all sorts of cat toys. When this shy sweetie opens up to you, she displays her affection by tenderly rubbing her face against yours and purring loudly while doing so. She may take time to adjust to new people, and may retreat to a safe hiding spot if startled, but she is growing more confident and trusting everyday. Sawyer was discovered by a good Samaritan tending a feral cat colony, who started seeing a tiny black kitten there and was able to coax her out. Our cat rescue group took her in for fostering, where she underwent a heartwarming transformation from wild, scared baby to a playful and affectionate kitten. Sawyer is a special little girl who will thrive with a patient and tender family to give her consistent, loving care. As an active and sociable kitten it is critical that Sawyer be adopted into a home with another kitten (such as her step-sibling Cookie Pot) or young, playful cat for companionship. Sawyer has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Randolf
RANDOLF is medium-haired black and white tuxedo male kitten, about 5 months old. He has ultra soft fur with cute white boots and a small white stripe above his nose. Randolf is a very easygoing kitty, he loves attention but is also content entertaining himself or finding another four-legged friend to play with. He has a great motor when he snuggles up to you, friendly kids, even friendly dogs! He has been lovingly attended to by his foster family's dogs and cats, and even lets their Dachshund groom him. Randolf likes sleeping in the window high on the cat tree and loves to play with little soft toys. He loves to chase his brother through the kitty tunnel, which will entertain him for hours. Randolf and his brother were taken in by our cat rescue group to be fostered and bottle fed after their mother had to have an emergency spay. Randolf would do great in a home where he can get lots of snuggles and playtime with human and animal friends. As an active and sociable kitten it is critical that Randolf be adopted into a home with another kitten (such as his brother Riley ID#1905-C0166) or young, playful cat for companionship. Riley
RILEY is a short-haired 5-month-old male kitten. He is mostly white with unique black markings: a few spots, a completely black tail, and a striking mark on the top of his head and covering one eye, resembling a dramatic asymmetrical haircut! This playful guy is a friend to all, human, feline, canine, he just can't get enough. Riley loves chasing toys through the house, running through the kitty tunnel, or up and down the cat tree. After he gets his zoomies out, he loves to cuddle up in your lap or next to one of his animal friends. At night he prefers to crawl into his human's bed for snuggles. His foster family says Riley and his brother were practically raised by their dogs, but he hasn't quite gotten the hang of wagging his tail...yet! Riley and his brother were taken in by our cat rescue group to be fostered and bottle fed after their mother had to have an emergency spay. Riley is looking for a home he can fill with fun and love, and he'd be happy if it was filled with other animals, too! As an active and sociable kitten it is critical that Riley be adopted into a home with another kitten (such as his brother Randolf ID#1905-C0167) or young, playful cat for companionship. Kit
KIT is a 5 1/2-month-old brown and black tabby male with golden eyes and short, silky-smooth fur. He's a calm and independent boy, and though he's shy, he's very sweet and loving. Kit was originally part of a project that was spaying and neutering cats in a cat colony (hence his ear tip), but during his recovery, his rescuer soon realized, though, that this sweet boy is a gentle soul, and he belongs indoors with a family. Since he is shy, Kit would benefit from being adopted into a home with another kitten (such as his sibling Sizzle), or where there is a friendly and nurturing young cat. He's not a fan of loud noises or strangers, but when things are quiet, he'll come out of his cubby and look for his people. Though Kit will need and understanding and patient home, whoever adopts him will be rewarded with an extremely loving and sweet companion for life. Kit has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Kit in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! You might even get a gentle love nibble or two from this feisty lady. Violet loves any toys she can bat and chase around, and finding hiding spots where she can plot her sneak attacks. Cosmic
COSMIC is a sweet 4 1/2-month-old calico female kitten with funky black, brown, and white patches to match her quirky personality. This playful, inquisitive girl loves to play with feathers and string, and she especially likes socks. She can be shy, but once she warms up to you, that purr box will start rumbling when you hold or play with her, and she's a big fan of chin scritches. Cosmic and her brother Cisco were rescued as older kittens in Junction City and came to our cat rescue group for fostering. She is an inquisitive kitten who wants to be around people, but she's a little timid, and loud noises might startle her. Give her a little patience, and she will reward you with love and companionship for life. Cosmic would benefit greatly from being adopted into a home with her brother Cisco or where there is a young, playful cat for companionship. She is bonded with her brother Cisco, so if you're looking for an adorable pair, these two are a perfect match! Cosmic has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Cosmic in her foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! Dog Emporium. The $140 ($260/2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. CASH and JULEP are a sweet, bonded brother-sister pair, about 4 months old. CASH is a black male kitten with one adorable white eyebrow. JULEP is a dark tortoiseshell female kitten, with beautiful markings that include a perfect divide right down her precious half-orange, half-black face. Cash loves people and has a great motor that he always keeps running. He loves to play, cuddle on the couch, and make biscuits on your lap. When he finds a toy he likes he will pick it up in his mouth and carry it around the house with him. He will even give his sister Julep a little growl if he thinks she is trying to take his catch! Julep is wonderful with people, always greeting you with a friendly purr. She has the charm of a person that you meet that you instantly want to be friends with. She likes to play with her toys and will carry them in her mouth like her brother. Cash has one eye that does not open completely because of scar tissue from damage that occurred before he was rescued, his other eye is completely normal. Julep also has one eye that never developed properly, but can see just fine with her other eye. She can be a bit cautious in new situations, taking a bit more time to learn her surroundings with her vision in only one eye. She will need a patient and gentle home, where she will be reassured and encouraged while she gets comfortable in her new environment. Cash and Julep were found at just a few weeks old under a house that was scheduled to be demolished. Cash is such a happy and brave kitten, and Julep so warm and gentle, they have so much love to give and will be an absolute joy to the right home. Because Cash and Julep are so bonded, we require they be adopted together ($260/2 kittens). They have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), altered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. SIZZLE is a sweet black and brown tabby female young kitty with beautiful golden eyes, about 6 months old. She is a shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people or situations, but once she does, she enjoys cuddling with other kittens and watching out the window. Sizzle would love to have a nice window perch in her new home where she can watch the world go by. She came to our cat rescue group after being rescued from a yard in Springfield where she was living outside with other kittens. After spending a couple of months in a loving foster home she is now ready for her forever family. Sizzle will need a quiet home where she can be allowed to warm up and blossom in her own time and with patient adopters who will appreciate her quiet and mild personality. As a young kitty it is critical that Sizzle be adopted into a home where there is a playful young cat (such as her bestie Godiva) for her to be friends with. Sizzle has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. MOCHA is a super sweet female kitty with beautiful fluffy black fur about 12 years old. She is quiet and calm with a gentle little meow. Mocha absolutely adores human attention and loves gentle pets. She enjoys catnip mice and time with you. She was abandoned at a vet clinic and has thrived in her loving foster home. She has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) and must be an indoor-only kitty for her lifetime. With a few precautions to protect her immune system she will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people and only to other cats through a deep bite wound - thus Mocha should be an only cat (which she prefers). This kitty will make a wonderful companion for that special someone who will give her a forever home. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, is microchipped, treated for fleas and dewormed and tested negative for Felv - plus she comes with a free vet wellness visit. FWEDWICK is a handsome medium-haired buff tabby male young kitty with a fluffy plume tail, about a year old. He may be timid and cautious with new people and situations and will quickly accept attention and begin interaction when calmly approached. Once he is confident with his surroundings and people he becomes an active, playful kitten in an adult cat body! He loves to roughhouse. His favorite toys are rolling cat toys, boxes to hide and jump out of, and cardboard or carpet scratchers. He comes running when he is called (or when anyone is called. . . ) and just loves the attention! Fwedwick gets along with non-assertive cats, especially when they like to play and run around with him. His gregarious personality will fit best with other playful kittens and young playful cats. He enjoys being petted and will roll over to have his belly rubbed. He luxuriates in the pleasure of being brushed and responds with a loud purr that he uses often! He likes to nap and sleep with his people and will nudge your hand, face, or ears with his nose if he thinks he must have more affection before he falls asleep. He just wants to love and be loved. He does well with the little dog in his foster home but is somewhat intimidated by the big dog. He is good with gentle, older children and plays with the foster's 6-year-old granddaughter and enjoys being carried around with her and brushed by her. He does not miss a meal and is crazy about canned food and treats and likes to use the bathroom sink at times for a drink of fresh water. Fwedwick was rescued from a community cat colony in Springfield and went to live in a loving foster home where he has thrived. Fwedwick has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) which means he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime. Once acclimated, he is loving and friendly, and would make a wonderful addition to any home. Lassen would benefit greatly from being adopted into a home with one or more of his siblings (Shasta or Siskiyou) or where there is a young, playful animal for companionship. Lassen has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free wellness exam. You can meet Lassen at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart, 2858 Willamette St., Eugene, OR 97405. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at CatRescues.org/Cat or paper copy available at the store. His adoption fee (which allows us to continue to help other cats in need) is $140, and we are offering a special price of $210 if he is adopted with Shasta or Siskiyou, or $300 for all 3 kittens. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. MICKIE and MINNIE are a 9-year-old brother and sister pair who are devoted to each other. They have beautiful black and white tuxedo markings and amazingly silky fur. Minnie is a bit less brave, but with some patience, she will warm up to you and will even cuddle in your lap. She is very loving and will greet you with a cute meow. Mickie and Minnie were very shy and timid when they first arrived in their foster home, but after bonding with their foster mom, both kitties have blossomed and are doing well. HAZEL is a gorgeous, petite, brown and black ticked tabby female who loves to play with humans, other cats and independently too! Still a kitten at heart (and only 1 year young), Hazel loves to climb high on the cat post, birdwatch from the window sill, wrestle with her 3 growing boys, and play with anything that rolls or can be batted about. She is even okay with cat-savvy dogs! She is energetic and fun-loving! Once she's run off her zoomies, she will cuddle up in a quiet corner for a nap and happily accept your caresses and adoration. Hazel was born in an orchard in Springfield, daughter of Elizabeth (who is also available for adoption). Hazel gave birth to her first litter in the orchard, then she and her 3 boys were brought into foster together. She has flourished in the safety of her foster home and even become friends with the resident cat-loving dogs. She is usually cautious with new people at first but then warms up and, with a gentle introduction, will likely be okay with cat-savvy kids. Hazel has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Hickory
HICKORY is a handsome brown and black ticked tabby boy, estimated to be about 4 1/2 months old, who is still growing into his big paws. He is thoughtful and endearing, yet also playful and full of kitten energy and curiosity! Often following behind his two brothers, Hickory usually stops for a caress and a purr before racing out to playtime. He is more cautious than his brothers, and likes to watch the action before joining in. He often lets his foster mom know that it's snuggle time by gently tapping her leg or hand with his paw, or simply climbing into her lap. Feather toys, boinks and toy mice are among his favorites, which run a close second to a good wrestling match or game of tag with his mom (Hazel), grandma (Elizabeth) or brothers. Hickory is especially attached to his mom and grandma, often seeking out their company for a cuddle and a bath. He is good with respectful dogs, and should be okay with kids as long as they are gentle and respectful. Hickory was born in an orchard in Springfield. He, his mother Hazel and 2 brothers were brought into foster when the kittens were just about 2 weeks old. Since then he has never been outside and should remain an indoor only kitty. As a young and energetic kitten, he will need to have a young playful companion to drain off his energy with lots of fun playtime. Hickory has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Licorice
LICORICE is a gorgeous young male kitty with luxurious fluffy black fur nearly 2 years young. He was found under a vacant mobile home during last winter's ice storms. Energetic and playful, he will happily spend hours chasing feather on-a-stick and other wand toys, pausing occasionally to jump into your lap for a good caress. He will need a quiet, slow introduction to any new people or places before his naturally sunny personality emerges. Once he knows you care, he will happily play with you for hours and letting you brush his beautiful fluff. Licorice has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) which means he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime. He's a healthy, vigorous boy and with some precautions to protect his immune system, will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or people and only through a deep bite wound to other cats. Licorice needs DAILY interactive playtime, such as with his favorite feather-on-a-stick toy, to divert his enthusiastic, playful energy. If you are looking for an awesome cat to spend tons of playtime with and are willing to invest the time to win his trust, Licorice is the cat for you! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, treated for fleas, dewormed and tested negative for Felv - plus he comes with a free vet visit. He has a trademark meow, soft and squeaky, and he'll tell you when he wants your attention. Dharma has a sweet temperament and is looking for an owner who will be gentle with him while he gets comfortable in his new surroundings. Dharma loves to play with his brother and snuggle up next to him in an adorable pile of grey and white fluff. Dharma and his brother were found as strays by a good Samaritan and brought to our cat rescue group for care. Dharma is a special kind of boy you can't help but fall in love with, he's looking for a home that will cherish him the way he deserves. As an active and sociable kitten it is critical that Dharma be adopted into a home with another kitten (such as his brother Greg) or young, playful cat for companionship. Dharma has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Dharma in his foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Rd.) or Wags! ACORN is an adventurous brown tabby male kitten, about 4 1/2 months old. Acorn was the most curious of his blended family, and by far the most social. Beau can be a shy boy when you first meet him, but once he's had a little time to assess the situation, he will show you his loving and gentle nature. Beau thrives on playtime with his siblings. He loves to chase them around to get his zoomies out and wrestle once he catches them! One quick way to win over this gentleman is to bust out the wand toys, he goes crazy for them and his shyness melts away if a new person plays with him. He can't get enough of batting around mice toys either. Beau and his littermates, along with their parents, were found in the backyard of a good Samaritan in Junction City who reached out to our cat rescue group so they could all be fixed and given loving forever homes. Beau needs a family that appreciates his sweetness and sensitivity. Could you be the safe, loving home this boy has been waiting for? In reality, this sweetie can be a bit timid, mostly when meeting new people, but she warms right up to you once you've earned her trust. Offering her a little wet food will get you one step closer to her heart, it's her favorite. HELA is a beautiful and sweet young female kitty who is a combination of a brown/orange tabby and a tortoiseshell (often called a "torbie") with a white bib, muzzle and white paws, about a year old. She is a playful kitty once she becomes comfortable, which can take some time, and fast movement still spooks her. Hela is quite fond of wand toys with dangling and enticing feathers. She really wants to be friends with other cats and doesn't mind calm dogs but will run and hide if they get excited. She enjoys canned food on occasion. Hela would love a quiet home where she can have space to herself and understanding adopters who will let her come out of her shell in her own time. Hela adores being petted and having company (although not a big fan of lap sitting quite yet) and will make a peaceful companion in the right home. Duck
DUCK is a petite medium-haired black and white tuxedo female kitty with dazzling golden eyes, about 5 years old. She is a very affectionate girl who loves her humans, but she wants to be your one and only. Duck loves to snuggle and has a very sweet personality. She lets her foster mom hold her and is patient when she administer her meds. Once you sit down, she will instantly jump into your lap purring, making biscuits. It seems Duck was abandoned by a previous owner and had a tough time before entering foster care. She can be startled by sudden movements and will require a QUIET household with someone gentle and understanding to work with her. She has always been loving to her foster mom, but she wouldn't do well with littles who are still learning how to be around critters. She could take or leave most toys but will really get excited for the laser pointer. Duck was found as a spayed stray and taken in by our cat rescue group for fostering. Duck has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus) which means that she must be an indoor-only kitty for her lifetime - but with some precautions to protect her immune system, she will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound - thus Duck should be an only cat (which she prefers). Duck is a sweet and special girl who would do well in a quiet home with an experienced cat-savvy parent. Please Note: Duck is a serious lover and when she gets really excited may express her affection with firm 'love bites' - her best home will be with cat-savvy adults only. Duck is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, treated for fleas, dewormed and tested negative for Felv - plus she comes with a free wellness visit. Akira
AKIRA and RANGA are a bonded sister-brother pair of gorgeous young kitties just over a year old. Akira is a quiet and sweet-natured gray and white tuxedo girl who enjoys her cheek and face rubs. She lets out a friendly chirp when she sees you. Ranga is a mellow long-haired buff tabby boy with a magnificent lion's mane and a soft, fluffy tail. When resting, he likes being petted gently from his head all the way down to his tail, including his big cute paws and will purr mightily. They were rescued as very shy and scared older kittens and have now become a laid-back pair of bonded kitties. Once acclimated (helped along with freeze-dried chicken treats and giving them space), they will warm up nicely. They love chasing the red dot laser and especially string-like wand toys. RANGA and AKIRA are a bonded brother-sister pair of gorgeous young kitties just over a year old. Ranga is a mellow, long-haired buff tabby boy with a magnificent lion's mane and a soft, fluffy tail. When resting, he likes being petted gently from his head all the way down to his tail, including his paws and will purr mightily. Akira is a quiet and sweet-natured gray and white tuxedo girl who enjoys cheek and face rubs. She lets out a friendly chirp when she sees you. They were rescued as very shy and scared older kittens and have become laid-back, bonded kitties. In new situations they are shy at first and once acclimated (helped along with freeze dried chicken and giving them space), they warm up nicely - what a delight! They love chasing the red laser dot and string-like wand toys. They will make wonderful lifelong companions for someone looking for mellow and well-mannered kitties. Ranga and Akira will do best in a quiet home with plenty of space and patience for them to blossom. Davin
DAVIN is an affectionate solid black young male kitty, with very distinctive black lips, about a year old. He is very friendly and loves people of all ages. Davin loves chasing toys, feathers, balls, dogs and other cats in his foster home! Even though Davin is very playful, he genuinely loves and seeks out human attention. He will come sit with his humans on the couch or bed, purring madly with happy drools for hours. He has an independent nature and likes to do his own thing on his own terms. Davin gets along well with friendly dogs and other cats, as long as they can tolerate his assertiveness, so he needs to be in a home with another young, playful cat. Davin was previously adopted but surrendered when his canine companion tragically passed away and they could not bear the responsibility of adopting another companion for him. This is a loving and well-mannered boy who will make a wonderful addition in any home! Please note that Davin is currently on a prescription urinary tract health diet, but otherwise he's in tip-top shape. Davin has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. BRENDA is a sweet and talkative 6-month-old dilute calico with distinctive eyebrows and a fashionable white bib. She is a conversation starter! By that we mean Brenda wants to have a conversation with you and tell you all about her day. She is playful with her brothers and is the bravest one of her litter. She'll be the first one to explore new nooks and crannies in her home. Brenda and her two brothers were rescued from the streets of Eugene when they were small and in need of help. Brenda has tested FIV positive but she is only 6 months old and should be re-tested when she is a little older. Both of Brenda's brothers tested negative and it's possible that Brenda still has the antibodies for FIV from her mother. Even if she remains FIV positive, it is now known that an FIV positive cat can live a healthy, normal life. FIV cannot be passed to humans or dogs, can only be passed to another cat through a deep bite wound. Brenda has been tested negative for feline leukemia, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet wellness exam. Meet Brenda in her foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at CatRescues.org/Cat or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Petco (Valley River Dr.) or Wags! AMY and MEG are a bonded pair of beautiful sister kittens, about 4 months old. They love to do everything together, playing, sleeping, eating and are very gentle with each other. They enjoy being up high, so a cat tree or cat walks are a must for these girls! Amy and her two sisters, along with their mother, came to our cat rescue group after being discovered online by a kind-hearted volunteer who saw that they needed urgent help. She is so happy running around and playing that she's usually too busy to worry about human cuddle time, but she is sweet and just needs a little more time to grow into the little lover we all know she can be. MORTICIA is a sleek black panther of a girl with luminous gold eyes about 3 1/2 yrs old on the hunt for a calm home to devote all her attentions to her humans. Adopted as a kitten from our cat rescue group, her new home was chaotic and active which proved too much for Morticia's tender personality and need for peace and safety. In her quiet foster home she has calmed and actively seeks humans for rubbing, lap sits, conversations and inspections. She feels threatened by other cats and should be an only cat without children or dogs for her to be relaxed with plenty of lazy tail waving. She has learned that humans can have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime to engage her innate huntress. Horizontal scratching pads are a passionate pleasure for her. Since she's not very food motivated, she'll even let you sleep in and not pester you pre-dawn - now that's easy to live with! She isn't shy, and will need an experienced, dedicated adopter to map her reactive spots and help her continue to calm and relax in a quiet home. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free wellness exam. PRINCESS is an affectionate fluffy, long-haired brown tabby female kitty, about 4 1/2 years old. This charming lady has been living behind a disguise for several months! When she was rescued by a kind man, her disguise was something called an eosinophilic granuloma -- a fancy scientific word for a fat lip! With good medical care, Princess' lip has returned to its previously beautiful state. She has been on a course of prednisolone, under the care of a skilled veterinarian, and her health has steadily improved. In her foster home she has enjoyed playing with her catnip mice and scratching on sturdy scratching posts. She likes to be by the window to gaze outside and nap in the sun. Princess is full of big purrs and loves to be petted & brushed. Princess loves the companionship of humans, but she does not trust nor does she like other cats. She enjoys receiving attention from children who have been taught to respect a beautiful princess like herself. Loud noises frighten her, as do sudden movements. Velvet requires a thyroid pill twice a day (which is easily administered) and has some minor asthma problems that are kept in check with a cortisone shot about every 3 months. Won't you give this sweet and quiet boy a safe and secure forever home? Black Velvet has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. He is currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Once we have your application, a volunteer will call to determine best fit and arrange a possible meet/greet. The $60 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Samantha
dob is estimateSAMANTHA is a very special, fluffy black girl kitty about 10 yrs old. She was nearly dead when found by a kindly woman in Oakridge. It was soon discovered that Samantha had an easily treatable thyroid imbalance and within a month had completely regained her health and is now a beautiful, loving and affectionate cat. All she needs to stay healthy is a small, inexpensive half-pill twice daily for the rest of her life (the cost is under $10 per month). Samantha loves to be picked up and stroked, sit on your lap and happily cuddle with her human. She has a calm and gentle demeanor and will thrive in a quiet, stable household. She gets along fine with other mellow, non-aggressive cats. This sweet and lovely girl has a tremendous amount of love to give to her lucky person or people. Samantha has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. If you can provide safe shelter away from dangerous roads; daily food and clean water; and the month required to care for them in confinement to acclimate them to their new home please visit our website to apply. [PLEASE NOTE Cats in these pictures, may or may not be available for adoptions] Cat Rescue & Adoption Network foster families give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. We always need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955 or fill out a foster application by following this link.
