Kona Kitty
KONA is a cute little black and tan tabby male kitten about 6 months old. He was found abandoned at about 7 weeks old, and he’s a very shy little guy until he gets to know you (he will tend to hide until he feels comfortable with his surroundings). Kona loves to be petted and have his ears and neck scratched when he eventually feels brave enough to be picked up. (Treats help with this process; his favorite is chicken flavored Temptations!) Once he is in your lap, he starts purring immediately and give lots of head butts, and he loves the attention. Kona likes some interactive play, but he’s a bit timid and is spooked with quick movements. He grooms himself well and has impeccable litterbox skills. Kona would do well as an only kitten, or he might be OK with another very mellow, non-aggressive kitty. He is going to need a quiet home with a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time he needs to acclimate. Kona Kitty has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Charmant (Charmer)
CHARMANT (nicknamed CHARMER) is a handsome young orange tabby male teenager kitty about 7 months old, with plush fur and dramatic bullseye markings. He and his siblings were found abandoned as kittens in Springfield, and placed into a loving foster home where they had to be treated for a harmless fungal infection (he is fine now). Charmer is a little timid at first in new surroundings, but once he knows you and is comfortable, he is eager to be petted and loved. He is curious and playful (be forewarned that he likes to splash around in his water bowl!), but he’s a very calm and gentle guy. He loves to carry small soft toys around in his mouth. Charmer enjoys other cats as long as they aren’t too rambunctious. He would be fine in a household with a mellow feline friend, but he would also be OK as an only kitty as long as he gets plenty of attention. Charmant (Charmer) has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. McCartney and Lennon
LENNON (bottom) and McCARTNEY (top) are two beautiful orange tabby teenager brothers about 7 months old. MCartney has mackerel stripes, and Lennon has dramatic swirls. These two boys were found abandoned with their siblings and friendly momma cat, and placed into a loving foster home where they have thrived. They are both extremely energetic, playful, and curious – they dash madly through the house, and tumble around with each other. When they are finally worn out, they love to snuggle up with you, and with each other. They enjoy cuddling and sleeping with you at night. Lennon loves to eat, and (warning!) thinks anything is food. McCartney is an attention hog, and likes to snooze on your chest. These boys would love a cat tree, and a spot to watch the birds outside. (Adopters will need to be vigilant, as they will dash outside if given the opportunity). These sweet boys would do best in an active household, with lots of attention and stimulation. They are very bonded and are being offered at a special sponsored bonded-pair adoption fee of $140. Lennon and McCartney have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. MACADAMIA (or “Mac”) is a handsome little 4-month-old black and gray tabby male kitten with a fluffy, medium-length coat and white fur in a tuxedo pattern. The largest of his litter, he is the the most outgoing and precocious of the kittens. He and his siblings were found as 6-week-old kittens living on a farm, and went to live in a loving foster home. Mac is the first one to greet you at the door and he just wants to be stroked and petted. He is very curious about new things and is completely fearless. He loves to get kisses from the 40-lb labradoodle doggie in his foster home. Like most energetic and sociable young kittens, Mac should be in a household with at least one other kitten, or playful young animal. PUSHTI (which means PINK in Uzbeki ) is a quiet but super sweet little black and white tuxedo female kitten about 5 months old, with a white mustache and a pink nose (for which she was named). She and her littermates were found abandoned at a farmhouse, and they have adjusted beautifully in their loving foster home. Pushti loves people and is the most gentle girl kitten ever. She loves to snuggle at night and will purr you to sleep and wake you in the morning with gentle cuddles. She enjoys playing and roughhousing with her siblings, but she is also very delicate and ladylike! She has been acclimated to both large and small dogs, gentle children and other cats. Griffa and Keilah
KEILAH and GRIFFA are two beautiful long-haired brown tabby sisters, with mesmerizing green eyes. These Maine-Coon-looking 3½ yr old girls have always been together. Originally adopted as teenager kittens, their owner had to surrender them when she lost her home. KEILAH is smaller and darker – she is very quiet and calm, and rarely makes any noise at all. Though she loves petting and brushing, and will occasionally allow kisses, Keilah generally waits for someone to approach her instead of jumping onto your lap. She loves catnip, which makes for a great icebreaker when getting to know her. GRIFFA is a little bigger than her sister and has a cute little crook in her tail. She likes to play with toys, especially anything hanging from a long stick. Unlike her sister, she isn’t interested in catnip but loves treats. But like her sister, Griffa tends to hang back until she is acclimated to her surroundings and the people in them. She loves to be brushed and petted. These two are very tightly bonded (they even eat together and walk together), and are being offered at a special sponsored adoption fee of $100. Keilah and Griffa have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Molokai ("Kai")
MOLOKAI (or “Kai”) is a cute little 4-month-old black and gray tabby male kitten with white fur in a tuxedo pattern and a fluffy tail. [You can distinguish him from his sister Molokin by the white on his nose and cheek] Molokai is a sweetheart, and a curious little guy. He and his siblings were found as 6-week-old kittens living on a farm, and went to live in a loving foster home. When he first came to his foster home, Kai was the most scared and would hiss at you – but as soon as you picked him up, his little purr motor would just run and run. He’s the kind of kitty that may always be afraid of strangers, but once he knows you, he is VERY bonded and loves to snuggle with his people. He likes to play with feather toys, and to romp and cuddle with his siblings. Like most active young kittens, Kai should be in a home with at least one other kitten or playful young cat. Molokai has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. SANDRA is an incredibly sweet and affectionate solid black adult female kitty with silky, medium length fur. Estimated to be about 4 years old, she was found as a stray and was taken to a local vet by a kind rescuer. Once settled into her foster home, she has flourished. She is definitely a lap cat and would love to find a forever home with someone who doesn't mind snuggling up at bed time! She is an easy going kitty who has never hissed or raised a paw towards her foster cat siblings. She doesn’t require a lot of interactive play, although she does enjoy some play time as well as gentle brushing every few days. Her eating and litter box habits are immaculate! This laid back girl would do great with just about any family and is ready to find her forever home! Sandra has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. SAMMI is a bouncy and sleek little solid black female kitten about 6 months old. She was found alone as a tiny kitten in Junction City, and was raised as a bottle baby with lots of human handling. She loves to jump and run, and can be very acrobatic when chasing a feather on a stick. Her black fur is like velvet and she loves to be petted. She loves to talk to the other cats in a hum-like sound instead of a meow. Sammi was raised in a loving foster home with two other fosters, a small dog and an older cat, and she got along well with everyone. Like most active young kittens, she would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal that she can run around with. Tye
TYE is a sweet, chirpy young black and tan tabby male kitty about 1 ½ years old, with white fur in a tuxedo pattern. This sweet guy has tons of energy, so he'll need a lot of interaction and play time. He'll chase da bird until he's panting, then race around and want some more. He loves to be petted, and having his chin scratched, and he’s a great lap cat (see picture)! He’s good with his litter box and scratching post, and loves climbing cat trees and leaping from shelf to shelf. Tye was adopted as a kitten, but was returned to CRAN because he was too rambunctious. He's getting better with each passing day, but he will need a knowledgeable cat owner who understands how to work with excitable cats. He loves other cats, but will attack if they show any weakness – so he might be best as an only cat. He would probably get along great with an energetic, cat savvy dog who could handle his rough play. Are you the forever home that this active, outgoing, and very loving boy so desperately needs? Tye has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Tye is currently in foster care. AGAVE & CHARLOTTE are a brother and sister pair of brown and gray tabby teenager kittens about 7 months old. They were born to a feral momma kitty who lived in a Springfield neighborhood, and were taken in to be fostered by a loving local resident. They were very shy at first, and will need a quiet household and time to acclimate to new surroundings. Agave is energetic and curious -- he is very agile, and loves to jump and pounce on his toys and on his sister. He is very vocal, making chirpy little sounds, and is quite the lap kitty who loves to cuddle Charlotte also loves to play, and will thrive with a patient and gentle adopter who will allow her loving personality to blossom (she likes to be held in your arms like a baby). She is starting to get into laps, loves pets, and will purr and make muffins when you give her attention. Charlotte and Agave are VERY bonded, and they must be adopted together – thus we are offering them at a special sponsored adoption fee of $150 for the pair. Agave has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Mittens
Hi, I’m Mittens and I’m an adorable little black and white tuxedo female kitty about 2 ½ years old who is looking for a loving furever home. I was surrendered when my human owner moved away and couldn’t take me with her, and I quickly won over my foster mom with my big, inquisitive eyes and loving, playful nature. I don’t get along very well with the other household cats so I would be happiest as the only cat, but I do like the big resident dog alot! My favorite part of the family though is my humans. I love them all and do fine with little kids. I have soooo much love to give! If you are looking for a beautiful, playful, bundle of love to add to your family, then I am your girl. Mittens has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Mr. Peaches
Mr. Peaches is a super friendly, soft furred orange and white male cat who is approximately 4 years old. His ear tip let us know that he was once a part of trap/neuter/return program. When he was found and brought to a vet with an abscess wound, rescuers discovered that he was a sweetheart, so he went to a foster home to recover. Mr. Peaches is very affectionate! He loves to play and goes crazy for catnip! While he is always a gentleman, he will give you a gentle tap with his paw if he's feeling overstimulated. At mealtimes Mr. Peaches has a tendency to wind his body around your feet (he loves food!), therefore, he would be best suited to a home with someone who is not at risk of falling. His ideal home would be a quiet one where he has time to acclimate to new surroundings and have someone to snuggle up to at bed time. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound (while he would be safest as an only cat, he does get along fine with other mellow cats). Mr. Peaches has been tested for feline leukemia (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. JASIRI is a lovely, long and elegant, female Russian Blue mix teenager kitten not quite 7 months old. Although she can be a bit shy, she is a playful and loving kitty. Jasiri was found abandoned in a park, and came to live in a loving foster home with her sister and brother, to whom she is very bonded. She would love to go to her furever home with at least one of them (or both?). She has lived with other cats of varying ages and temperaments as well as a large, friendly dog, and gets along with all of them! Jasiri had a rough start to life and will need a patient owner that will give her gentle affection once she feels safe. A tall perch makes her feel secure, and from there she will even accept being picked up. Jasiri would do best being adopted into a quiet home along with another active kitten (like her brother or sister) to help build her confidence. Jasiri has a delicate digestive system, but with the correct diet (she eats a diet with canned food), she is healthy and active. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. She is currently in foster care. SKY is a beautiful, long-haired black and white female tuxedo kitty with a magnificent fluffy tail, who is about a year and a half old. She is a sweet kitty who loves her lap time, but she is also a very playful young girl. She was abandoned when her owners moved away and left her behind, and she ended up in a loving CRAN foster home. She is good with kids, but would not be a good choice for toddlers. Sky would definitely like to be the only cat, although she will tolerate some male cats as long as they leave her alone. She would likely be fine with a calm and friendly dog, after a period of adjustment. Because of her long fur, it is important that she be brushed often, but fortunately, she thoroughly enjoys this! Sky needs a caring and stable forever home that won’t abandon her again, and she will make a wonderful and devoted companion. Sweetie Pie
Sweetie Pie is a gorgeous and fluffy gray tabby female teenager who looks to be a Maine Coon Mix. She's just over a year old and has been living in a loving foster home after being rescued as a feral kitten. She is shy with any humans that she doesn’t know, but is great with her furry playmates. She will play with the other cats and kittens in the house, and can be found curled up next to them or even the resident Dachshund. There are also two big dogs in the home that she is fine with unless they become hyperactive. Sweetie really enjoys her quiet place on the window sill away from all the noise and activity. She loves her treats and will take them gently right out of your hand. Even though she is shy, she yearns for full attention from her foster family. She also enjoys playing with string toys, preferably without all the kittens. She would do best with one or two other cats and/or a respectful smaller dog. She's a very calm kitty and a gentle soul who likes her personal space, without ever using her claws. She won't curl up in your lap, but we are confident that in a calm household and with some patience, she will make a wonderful addition for an understanding adopter. Sweetie Pie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Once we have your application, a volunteer will call to determine best fit and arrange a possible meet/greet. MimiCat
MimiCat is a pretty brown tabby short-haired female kitty with white fur in a tuxedo pattern, and some striking soft orange patches. She is a very sweet, somewhat shy, 14-year-old senior girl who LOVES to be on your lap, and shows it by talking to you and drooling! Although she is a talker, it is only when it’s time for her food or when she knows it’s time to sit on your lap. Although she is quite calm and mellow, she does enjoy her toys and her scratching post. MimiCat was brought to a vet for euthanasia by her owner who was becoming homeless; her bloodwork showed her to be a very healthy cat, and so CRAN intervened and put her into a loving foster home (she has had a complete dental). This darling, affectionate kitty has been bounced around a lot throughout her life, and she is looking for a quiet, stable forever home to live out her golden years. She has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. MimiCat is currently in foster care. Pepper
Pepper is a super sweet tuxedo kitty who is around 12 years old. His foster and rescuer describes him as the most loving boy ever. This lovebug is a quiet cat and expert nap taker. He loves attention and loves to give head bumps. Pepper was abandoned by his previous owners. He had a microchip but when they were called they didn’t want him back. He was on his own for awhile and has some health issues as a result. He had a lump on his jaw but after a dental cleaning and teeth extractions it has decreased in size. He is in the early stages of kidney disease and his adopter will need to work with a vet as it progresses. Pepper is also FIV+ and can live a normal life with good medical care. It can only be passed to other cats through a deep bite wound. Pepper does well with other mellow cats. Pepper is so ready to find a home where someone understands his needs and will treasure the time he has left to give them all the head bumps he can. He would so love to find a safe and quiet place to live out his days. All he asks for is food, snuggles and a lap to sleep on. Pepper was previously neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has had a recent dental cleaning/extractions, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and dewormed and tested for FELV (-) /FIV (+) and he comes with a free vet visit. Pepper's adoption fee is $60 and helps Cat Rescue and Adoption Network help more homeless cats. He is currently in foster care. If you are interested in meeting Pepper, please submit an adoption application for consideration either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. ID# 1809-C0422. Jet and Mouse
My name is JET (also known as Big Boy), and I got my nickname because I am the biggest of my brothers. I am a 8-month-old male teenager kitten with golden eyes, fluffy black fur, a bushy tail and a silver undercoat on my belly. My siblings and I were born in a garden shed at the beginning of May, and we were rescued and fostered by a loving family. I love wrestling with my brother Mouse, toys and strings, but I am a lover who is also happy sitting on your lap or sleeping on your chest. I like being brushed and petted. I have a very mellow personality, and hanging out is probably one of my best qualities. Looking at my feet, it is likely I will grow up to be a pretty large kitty cat! I am active and sociable, and would enjoy being in a household with another kitten (such as Mouse) or playful young cat – but I might also be OK on my own as long as I get lots of attention and am not left alone a lot. Jet has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. I got my name because when I was rescued, I was a very tiny boy who looked like a baby bat, and I had silver tufts behind my ears like a baby mouse. My siblings and I were born in a garden shed at the beginning of May, and we were rescued and fostered by a loving family. I like being picked up, and I am a lap kitty once I have been fed and played with. I love to nuzzle and cuddle...my kitty motor is always on. I adore romping around with my brother Jet, and like most energetic and social young kittens, I should be in a household with another kitten (such as Jet) or other playful young cat. MINNIE is a sweet little tuxedo female kitty about a year old. She came to CRAN as a stray with one-day-old kittens, and was an excellent and attentive mother in her foster home. She is ready now for a forever home of her own! She is an energetic and petite girl who enjoys being petted and doted on. Once she becomes comfortable with you, her playfulness and curiosity emerge! She loves being around people, and wants to be in your lap anytime you will let her. Minnie will tolerate other cats and is nonreactive to dogs, but she can be very dominant/aggressive with cats who are shy or submissive. She is also a “talkative” cat, so her adopters need to be accepting of her frequent mews. She is very focused on going outside (although she never strays far), so she needs to be an indoor/outdoor kitty in a home with a VERY SAFE outdoor environment. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired, male tuxedo cat about 12 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws and so needs to be an indoor-only fellow (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy with a soft purr until he has something to say and can then be quite a talker. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He is a good eater when he knows you are near. He's a funny guy with bursts of energy, running around like a spry young cat for 10-15 minutes. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. His favorite toy is a peacock feather - but just the pointy end! Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. As he becomes more comfortable in his new home, his behavior becomes more trusting. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free wellness exam. Boots' adoption fee is $60. These 2 brothers inherited their momma cat’s capacity for love and patience – they adore lap time and enjoy one-on-one with any human in the mood for cuddles. They enjoy chasing strings and dashing after their felt ball or stuffed mouse, capturing their prey. Both kittens have experienced the attention of young children who put them in sweatshirt pockets for safekeeping with no objection. They share a quiet disposition prone to long chats with you and cuddling in your bed. They would do best being adopted together, and are being sponsored by their foster mom at a special adoption fee of $190 for the pair (the normal fee is $130 per kitten). FOXY is a quiet, polite older kitty about 13 1/2 years old, with a beautiful Russian-Blue type of coat. She lived her entire life with one person, but due to financial setbacks, he lost his home and began to live in his car – so Foxy came to CRAN in the hopes of finding a happy home to live out her golden years. She will ask you about your day with a sweet "meow?" She gets very excited when it's meal time, even though she has a teeny tiny appetite (she does enjoy “grazing” on her kibble all day). Foxy absolutely loves to find a soft, cushy spot to hang out in, preferably with the sun shining on her dense, gorgeous coat. She is pleased to allow her humans to brush her softly, and provide her with plenty of pets. Foxy does NOT like other cats. She is put off by kittens and their "rowdy" behavior. She has never lived with a dog or with young kids. She wants to be the queen kitty of your world, and she is confident that her charming personality will more than make up for her desire to be the only cat in your life. Kathy and her litter of babies were left behind by her owners in Oakridge when they were evicted from their home. While only a kitten herself when she got pregnant, she turned out to be a wonderful, nurturing mother and her beautiful kittens are weaned now. Although we don't know her background, she was clearly loved by people because she is a very trusting and affectionate kitty. Kathy will likely be shy at first in her new home, but will quickly show her fun and loving personality once she feels safe. She gets along fine with other cats, and will likely be fine with gentle, cat-savvy dogs and children. Vinka is a shy but sweet female senior adult kitty about 11 years old, who is white with a gray mask and patches of gray on her back (sometimes called a “cow kitty”). She is partially blind with a touch of arthritis, but when she is comfortable with her surroundings, she paves a pathway which leads her back to her food, water, litterbox, and her favorite sunny spot. Vinka's human passed away and she was put outside to fend for herself. A nice neighbor fed her, but ultimately she was taken to a vet to be euthanized. Because the vet recognized a sweet girl with a gentle disposition, she was transferred to CRAN. She likes to be brushed and petted, and is definitely a lap cat. She shows her appreciation by licking her foster mom's fingers. She usually comes when called by name -- especially when it is mealtime – and she will answer with one of her cute little meows to let you know where she is. She is on a prescription diet that helps maintain her gastrointestinal health. She has great litterbox habits. Vinka has recovered from being dumped onto the streets, and with a kind and patient adopter who will allow her plenty of time to learn to trust, she will make a very loving companion. Are you up for the challenge of a wonderful, quirky calico cat? Inquisitive, outgoing and gorgeous, MISS HONEY is a striking young calico and tabby girl about 3 years old, who is a unique mixture of friendly and frightened. With people she trusts, she will purr non-stop just because you’re in the same room with her, quietly keep tabs on you while you work nearby, and then will romp after any toy that you offer – she will even play fetch with you! This sweetheart was rescued as a tiny kitten by a family who loved her dearly, but surrendered her to a shelter because of their own declining health. Sadly, the stresses of her environment combined with her sensitive personality brought on health issues for Miss Honey, and when she reached our care, she was suffering from an inflammation of her bladder. Her symptoms are now well managed through a combination of a quiet environment, a calming diet, a pheromone collar, and a patient foster mom. With each passing day, Honey is becoming healthier and more relaxed. This sweet girl will need time to trust new humans, and if you are up for that challenge, you will be rewarded with a unique relationship with a wonderfully personable calico queen kitty. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. BLACK VELVET is a beautiful, fluffy solid black male kitty who is DECLAWED on his front paws. He is 11 years old. He was found as a stray in Springfield, and efforts to locate his owners were unsuccessful. Velvet has been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and he is a healthy boy (including his teeth!). He is a little shy in new situations and it will take him a bit of time to adjust, but once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate and very laid back boy. He loves to be held and petted, is good with cuddling, and will make a wonderful companion. He is very nondominant and REALLY enjoys being with other cats, so he would do best in a home with at least one other friendly cat. Because he is declawed, he must be an indoor-only cat. Velvet has a bit of an itchy skin, so he will need an inexpensive cortisone shot about every 3 or 4 months. Won't you give this sweet and quiet boy a safe and secure forever home? She loves jumping wildly through the air while playing with her wand toys. She likes being gently petted and snuggling on the bed, as long as you respect her boundaries. It takes her awhile to acclimate to a new situation, but when she does, she will give head-butts, enjoys being kissed on her forehead, and loves gentle chin and ear rubs. She enjoys lying upside down on the floor with her tummy in the air. She is a quiet and independent girl, but once she has bonded to you, she wants to be close to her people. She isn't a big fan of other cats, and would prefer to be the only cat in the household. She can be a bit unpredictable until she has settled in, and may occasionally give you a whack with her paws--so she would not be good in a home with young kids or a fragile senior. BELLA is a gorgeous little dilute tortie female youngster about a year and half old, with thick, plush fur and the prettiest green eyes you can imagine. She is on the shy side, but with love and patience, she warms up slowly to her human companion. Her favorite thing to do is to sit in the window and gaze out at the birds. She would probably do well with another shy, quiet cat. Bella was part of a colony of neighborhood cats in Eugene, and was taken into a loving foster home where she gave birth to a litter of kittens (all adopted now). Bella subsequently went to the vet where she received “the works” and was given an excellent bill of health. Now this sweet, beautiful girl is awaiting your visit, and hopefully you will make her yours furrever! Bella does very well with other cats in her space, but should not be in a home with children or dogs - she thrives in a peaceful setting! Bella has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Bella is currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Once we have your application, a volunteer will call to determine best fit and arrange a possible meet/greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Valentino
age is guesstamitMy name is VALENTINO, and I’m a solid black adult male kitty about 12 years old, who was rescued on Valentine’s day in 2017. I was cold, hungry, and very frightened -- and was brought inside half frozen by the kind staff at a local veterinary clinic. The staff warmed my cold body, provided medical care for my aches and pains, and fed me until I wasn't hungry. I am completely recovered, my teeth have been cleaned, and all of my blood work is normal. I now live in a foster home, where I like to watch the world from a safe spot -- I especially like to sit in a quiet cubby and meow at my human caretakers. I am somewhat reserved, and I definitely like to have my own space, but I do appreciate gentle attention from my humans, head scritches, ear massages, and quiet conversation. Do you have a warm place in your heart and your home, to give me a forever home, so that I won't have to be cold, hungry and frightened ever again? VALENTINO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and his adoption fee is $60. If you are interested in meeting Valentino, please submit an adoption application for consideration either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will then follow-up for next steps. For more information, send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID# 1706-C0219V

Nora
NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. Nora is currently in foster care. To meet her or for more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID# 1310-C0468.

Sponsored Adoption?ZOE is a cute little adult black and white tuxedo female kitty about 12 years old. She was brought into a local vet and surrendered as a very frightened and upset kitty – she may have been abused in her past – but she has settled down now, and is very outgoing and affectionate. She adores being petted and loves all the attention she can get. She is very scared and stressed by dogs, and is not a fan of other cats, although she has done well in foster care with a mellow older male kitty. Zoe needs a quiet home and a kind-hearted adopter who is willing to give this older adult with a difficult past a chance at a new life – and they will be rewarded with a devoted and loving companion. Zoe has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Meet Queen Habibi (aka “BIBI”), a big, beautiful black, gold, and white 4-year-old female kitty with soft fluffy fur, and the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico. This beautiful girl was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal asthma. To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tablet daily of an inexpensive medication, which she readily accepts. She has lived with friendly cats in the past, but her reserved personality indicates that she might do best as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. This gorgeous, wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and lots of love. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? Habibi has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee!! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and will entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me! I'm a big, beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty about 3 years old, who was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some calorie counting and a little extra playtime, I have shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. I was surrendered by my adopters because their other cat was bullying me, and keeping me cornered and stressed. I have been treated for a urinary tract infection, but I am healthy now and using my box regularly. I will need to stay on a standard urinary tract health diet, and would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee's adoption fee is $60 which is used to continue to provide medical care for other cats in need. DeeCee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Special Promotion - Adoption Fee Waived through July 4 TAMMY is a shy and very sweet young female kitty about 3 years old with plush black fur. She was born to a neighborhood stray (and spayed with an ear tip), and went to live in a loving foster home where she learned to trust people. She was adopted as a kitten, but her first owner passed away. Tammy is active and playful, but it takes her a while to acclimate to a new situation or new people. Once you've earned her trust, however, she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. Tammy needs to be the "top banana”, but she might be OK with a nondominant younger kitty. She will thrive in a quiet home without young children. She is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Her adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to other neglected and abandoned kitties. To meet her or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to www.CatRescues.org. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955.
