DeeZee
DeeZee is a handsome, outgoing young male kitty about 2 years old, who is white with a black & gray tabby mask, saddle, and tail. He was found as a stray and neutered on a feral package (thus the ear tip), but then his rescuer discovered he LOVES people and is super friendly! He is quite the talker, and loves attention! When rescued, he was being picked on by the other outside cats, and as a result he is still fearful of other kitties – but he might acclimate to another mellow kitty with time and patience. He is fine with a friendly dog, and gentle, cat-savvy kids. This sweet and affectionate guy just needs a stable forever home and someone to love and treasure him!! DeeZee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. You can meet DeeZee at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart, 2858 Willamette St., Eugene, OR 97405. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at the store. The $120 ($225 for 2 young cats) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. . Hannah .
 . Hannah . . Hannah . . Hannah .
Hannah
HANNAH is an adorable young gray tabby female with white fur in a tuxedo pattern, estimated to be about 2 years old. She was rescued as a stray, had her badly injured eye removed, spent some time healing, and is now ready for the right human to find her and offer her a forever home with plenty of love, sunshiny spaces, toys and treats, and a soft lap. Hannah is a very sweet and cuddly girl who loves attention and prefers cuddling to playtime – but when she is feeling playful, she loves to play play play with a feather-on-a-stick toy. She also enjoys treats and making biscuits on fluffy blankets. She has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), but she is a healthy girl, and by keeping her as an indoor-only kitty for her lifetime to protect her immune system, she will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. While she would be safest as an only cat, she would enjoy a mellow kitty companion. She has also done well with a big gentle dog. After such a tough start, this super affectionate girl deserves a stable home and a lifetime of love! Hannah has been tested for feline leukemia (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. You can meet Hannah at PETCO, 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene (open daily 9 to 9). Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. . Peanut .

Peanut
Peanut is a beautiful and sweet gray tabby female who is 12 years young. Peanut is the most loving and affectionate cat ever. She appreciates being pet and loves to give head bumps. She enjoys being held and is easy to get in her carrier. She demands little and appreciates having a window bed to watch the great outdoors and having wet food. Peanut will greet you with cute chirps and meows but is otherwise a very quiet girl. She loves every person she meets. She showed up emaciated at a house in a rural area. Her rescuers tried unsuccessfully to find her home for several months before we took her into our program. This lady is in great health (she’s had an exam and bloodwork done and all came out good). The vet did note that flea control will be important for her. She even still appreciates playing with a feather toy. While Peanut is not reactive to seeing and hearing the other cats and dog in her foster’s home, her rescuer reported she and their cat did not get along. She might be OK with a very slow introduction to another mellow cat or relaxed and cat-friendly dog. Peanut really is one of the most mellow and loving cats her foster has seen. If you are looking for an easy-going and affectionate companion, Peanut could be the perfect match for you. Peanut has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. To visit Peanut in foster care, submit an adoption application online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store, and a volunteer will contact you. Tammy
TAMMY is a shy and very sweet young female kitty about 3 ½ years old, with plush black fur. She was born to a neighborhood stray (and spayed with an ear tip), and went to live in a loving foster home where she learned to trust people. She was adopted as a kitten, but her first owner passed away. Tammy is active and playful, but it takes her a while to acclimate to a new situation or new people. Once you've earned her trust, however, she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. Tammy needs to be the "top banana”, but she might be OK with a nondominant younger kitty. She is a very talkative kitty (especially when being ignored), and is fine with children who are gentle with her. She is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Kitty is currently in foster care. Andrea
ANDREA is a gorgeous fluffy gray tabby female teenager kitten with white eyeliner, about 10 1/2 months old. She and her four siblings were born in a home to a friendly unfixed mama cat. The shyest kitten in her litter, Andrea eventually benefited from TLC and human affection in foster care. Just as she has bonded with her foster mom, she will blossom into an affectionate girl with a patient adopter. Andrea can be a bit shy around new people, but once trust is established with some treats and playing, she actively seeks out companionship and attention. She is treat motivated and adores dried bonito flakes. She loves to pounce on plush toys and carry them around in her mouth. She also likes to explore and enjoys perching in a window, curious to see what’s going on out there. With time she will curl up next to you, purring with head scritches and burrowing under blankets for naps. She does, however, like human affection on her own terms and will nip when she’s had enough attention or gets overstimulated. She gets along well with other friendly cats, both young and old, and makes the cutest friendly trill when greeting other cats. Andrea will thrive with a patient and gentle adopter in a cat-savvy home with another friendly or playful feline to keep her company. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. To meet Andrea in foster care, submit an adoption application online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store, and a volunteer will contact you. LOOT is a shy and slender black panther male teenager kitten, about 7 months, with a super plush coat, cute white ear tufts and striking green eyes. He is quiet and mellow but has the sweetest purr. Loot was found as a young kitten at a local business and went to live in a loving foster home with lots of love and TLC. He is still learning to trust humans, but he is very treat-motivated and will come running when you play laser pointer or catnip bubbles with him. Loot would do best in a quiet home with another playful young cat and a patient cat-savvy adopter. Loot has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Blade
Blade is a handsome black panther male teenager kitten, about 9 months old. He was rescued from a rural location in Springfield and came to CRAN as a very frightened kitten. He is a very shy boy, and it will take a bit of time, patience, love and understanding before Blade will become comfortable with his new humans. He loves cooked chicken and will grab it right out of your hand if you are not careful. He likes soft toys such as felt mice and likes to have the first pick of the toy box. He will be timid around new people and unfamiliar situations, and would do best in a quieter, calm home with a patient, understanding adopter until he gets comfortable. Like most active young cats, he would do best in a quiet household with another playful young cat to play with. Blade has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Blade is currently in foster care. Tessa
TESSA and TRINITY are two beautiful but shy orange tabby twin girls about 7 1/2 months old. They were rescued as young kittens, and were timid and scared when they first arrived at their loving CRAN foster home (they are still a bit cautious about being picked up). However, once you have them in your arms and you give them a few minutes of snuggles and pets, they will happily fall asleep on you, purring away the entire time. They are even now jumping up on the bed to cuddle. Tessa and Trinity enjoy chasing each other around the house, sleeping in hidden places, and playing on a tall cat tree. They both love the older cats in their foster home, and want as much attention from them as they can get. They would be very happy in a home with other friendly cats, but are very cautious about dogs and young kids. Tessa and Trinity had a persistent upper respiratory infection when they were babies, and have some residual scarring and occasional tearing as a result (their vision does not appear to be affected). A patient and loving adopter who is willing to work with these girls to establish trust will be rewarded with a lifetime of devoted companionship. They are totally bonded to each other and must be adopted together, thus they are being offered at a special sponsored price of $170 for the pair. Tessa has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Tessa and Trinity are currently in foster care. Mowgli
MOWGLI is a handsome Bengal-mix adult male kitty with green eyes and big bold black swirls in his fur, who is 8 ½ years old. He’s one of a kind….and he knows it! He was raised from kittenhood by a fellow who was unable to keep him any longer due to unfortunate life changes. He was very scared at first in his new foster home, but after his foster mom slowly earned his trust, he has come out of his shell and is VERY affectionate. He loves to give you kisses and head butts! He likes to motor around and check in, around, under and over things – and he especially likes large scratching posts with hidey holes. He has never lived with another cat, and would do best as the only pet. Mowgli is in good health, and recently had his teeth cleaned. The secret to getting on MowMow’s good side is to ply him with wet food. This sweet guy is looking for a nice stable person or family to love, who will love him back! LIONARDO and TREVI are a pair of twin brothers -- beautiful black panther teenagers about 10 months old. They were part of a litter of kittens born to someone’s pet unfixed mama kitty, and the kittens were eventually surrendered to a CRAN volunteer who lovingly raised them. TREVI is the slighter bigger and quieter brother, with a turbocharged purr engine – he loves tailbone scritches! His “little” brother LIONARDO is the curious one who loves to climb and explore. Both are excellent hunters of the elusive shoelace, catnip mice, and feathers on sticks – and they just adore tumbling around with each other, and then cuddling up to take nap. Trevi and Lio are a little shy with new people, but once they know you (helped along by treats and toys), they will be your friends forever! They would do best in a quiet home (they can be spooked by loud noises) with a patient adopter who will allow their very loving personalities to blossom. BenBen
BENBEN is a big, beautiful short-haired silver tabby who is about 11 years old. BenBen LOVES back pats and back rubs and back scritches of any kind! He will turn around and go back and forth in front of you so you can lovingly pet him all over. Due to past issues with people Ben is a bit slow to trust. He is very sensitive about being picked up or man-handled in any way, but as long as you respect his boundaries, and give him plenty of time to adjust, you'll soon be best buds – especially if you give him wet food! BenBen gets along fine with other cats and is non-reactive to his foster mom’s dog so he would do well in a home with other animals. BenBen has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. CHECKERS is a handsome black and white male tuxedo kitty about 11 years old, who has an interesting thin white squiggly line across his nose that sets him apart from other “plain old” tuxedo cats. He’s a shy guy who likes his humans low-key and gentle. He loves to spend his days curled up in one of his favorite hidey-holes, where he can spy on the world around him from a safe vantage point. When he is out and about, he may startle easily and will hunker down, but if you talk softly to him and lightly scritch his tummy, he’ll mellow out right away. Checkers loves wet food, and that is one good way to win him over. He doesn’t mind other kitties as long as they don’t pick on him, and he is also non-reactive to his foster mom's dog -- so he could be happy in a home with other mellow pets. This shy guy would love a quiet home to call his own. STRANGER is an extra large male black and tan tabby kitty around 11 years old. This poor fellow was abandoned at his foster mom's doorstep, and in the beginning he was very scared – but he has blossomed into such a loving kitty. Stranger likes to be wherever you are and will put his paw on your arm so you know he’s close by and ready for attention. The only thing he loves more than his wet food is being petted by his people! He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), but a lifetime as an indoor-only kitty to protect his immune system will likely enable him to lead a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Beyond this, Stranger is in good health, and has had a complete dental performed. While safest as an only cat, Stranger enjoys the company of other mellow cats, and he does well with friendly dogs. Do you have a quiet home, and are ready for a devoted and loving companion? KATRINE & FLICKA are a bonded pair of stepsisters that found each other in foster care and have been inseparable ever since! FLICKA is a large, affectionate calico girl about 10 months old. She was rescued from a rural colony and brought to the clinic for her spay and ear tip, where it was discovered that she is quite friendly and more suited to a life indoors. Her smaller sidekick KATRINE is also about 10 months old, all black with a white patch on her chest. She is more energetic and active than Flicka, but at the end of the day they curl up together for a snooze. Katrine was found abandoned with her siblings on a rural country lane. Both girls are friendly and like their humans, once they learn they can trust you – but they get easily stressed when their environment changes, so they will need a patient adopter. In exchange for patience, you will get head bumps and loud purring from Flicka, and snuggles and kisses from Katrine. Katrine likes to be picked up and held; Flicka prefers all four paws on the ground, but will happily sit next to you on the couch. This bonded pair is being offered at a special sponsored adoption fee of $150 for the pair. Katrine & Flicka have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. To visit Katrine & Flicka in foster care, submit an adoption application online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store, and a volunteer will contact you. CHANCEUX (pronounced “Shan-so” or Chance for short) is a handsome young male black panther teenager about 9 ½ months old with a white blaze at his throat and white on his belly. He and his siblings were found abandoned as kittens in Springfield and placed with a loving foster home. Chance is very timid at first in new surroundings and once he knows and trusts you, he wants to be petted and loved. Chance LOVES catnip bubbles and has become quite adept at catching them with both paws! He will also chase the laser light, wand toys and anything that bounces. Chance welcomes all newcomers into his foster home, human (cautiously) and feline (enthusiastically). He would be happiest in a quiet household with a mellow feline friend and might also enjoy being an only kitty as long as he gets plenty of attention. Chance startles easily and with the right home and a patient adopter will blossom into a devoted lifelong companion. Chanceux has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Chance is temporarily in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Mr. Peaches
Mr. Peaches is a very friendly orange and white tabby male cat with very soft fur, who is approximately 4 ½ years old. When he was found and brought to a vet with an abscess wound, rescuers discovered that he is a complete sweetheart, so he went to a foster home to recover. [His ear tip let us know that he was once a part of trap/neuter/return program.] Mr. Peaches is very affectionate. He loves to play and goes crazy for catnip! Always the gentleman, he’ll give you a gentle tap with his paw if he's feeling overstimulated. At mealtimes he has a tendency to wind around your feet (he loves his food!) – therefore, he should not be in a home with someone who is at risk of falling. His ideal home would be a quiet one where he has time to acclimate to new surroundings, and where he has someone to snuggle up with at bed time. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. While he would be safest as an only cat, he does get along well with other mellow kitties. He was previously neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and dewormed, and has tested negative for Felv – plus he comes with a free vet visit. Meet Mr. Peaches at the cattery inside our partner Wags! Dog & Cat Emporium, 485 Coburg Rd #G, Eugene OR 97401 (open daily 9 to 7). Foxy
FOXY is a quiet, polite older kitty about 13 1/2 years old, with a beautiful Russian-Blue type of coat. She lived her entire life with one person, but due to financial setbacks, he lost his home and began to live in his car – so Foxy came to CRAN in the hopes of finding a happy home to live out her golden years. She will ask you about your day with a sweet "meow?" She gets very excited when it's meal time, even though she has a teeny tiny appetite (she does enjoy “grazing” on her kibble all day). Foxy absolutely loves to find a soft, cushy spot to hang out in, preferably with the sun shining on her dense, gorgeous coat. She is pleased to allow her humans to brush her softly, and provide her with plenty of pets. Foxy does NOT like other cats. She is put off by kittens and their "rowdy" behavior. She has never lived with a dog or with young kids. She wants to be the queen kitty of your world, and she is confident that her charming personality will more than make up for her desire to be the only cat in your life. She has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Kitty is currently in foster care. BLACK VELVET is a beautiful, fluffy solid black male kitty who is DECLAWED on his front paws, about 14 1/2 years old. He was found as a stray in Springfield, and efforts to locate his owners were unsuccessful. He is a little shy in new situations and it will take him a bit of time to adjust, but once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate and very laid back boy. He loves to be held and petted, and is good with cuddling. He is very nondominant and really enjoys being with other cats, so he would do best in a home with at least one other friendly cat. Because he is declawed, he must be an indoor-only cat. Velvet requires a thyroid pill twice a day (which is easily administered), and has some minor asthma problems that are kept in check with a cortisone shot about every 3 months. Won't you give this sweet and quiet boy a safe and secure forever home? SOPHIE SOPH is a quiet yet playful, short-haired 8-year-old beautiful black female kitty who was rescued as a neighborhood stray and put into a loving CRAN foster home. She loves jumping wildly through the air while playing with her wand toys. She likes being gently petted and snuggling on the bed, as long as you respect her boundaries. It takes her awhile to acclimate to a new situation, but when she does, she will give head-butts, enjoys being kissed on her forehead, and loves gentle chin and ear rubs. She enjoys lying upside down on the floor with her tummy in the air. She is a quiet and independent girl, but once she has bonded to you, she wants to be close to her people. She isn't a big fan of other cats, and would prefer to be the only cat in the household. She can be a bit unpredictable until she has settled in, and may occasionally give you a whack with her paws--so she would not be good in a home with young kids or a fragile senior. This affectionate girl needs a safe and secure forever home with a patient owner who will allow her the time for her loving personality to blossom. Samantha went to live in a loving foster home, and when her foster mom took her to the vet, she was expecting that she was too far gone to be saved. To her delight, Samantha had an easily treatable thyroid imbalance, and within a month had completely regained her health and is now a beautiful, loving and affectionate cat. All she needs to stay healthy is a small, inexpensive half-pill twice daily for the rest of her life (the cost is under $10 per month). Samantha loves to be picked up and stroked, to sit on laps, and to happily cuddle with her human. She has a calm and gentle demeanor, and will thrive in a quiet, stable household. She gets along fine with other mellow, non-aggressive cats. This sweet and lovely girl has a tremendous amount of love to give to her lucky person or people. BELLA is a gorgeous little dilute tortie female youngster about two and a half years old with thick, plush fur and the prettiest green eyes you can imagine. She would probably do well with another shy, quiet cat. Bella was part of a colony of neighborhood cats in Eugene, and was taken into a loving foster home where she gave birth to a litter of kittens (all adopted now). Bella subsequently went to the vet where she received “the works” and was given an excellent bill of health. age is guesstamitMy name is VALENTINO, and I’m a solid black adult male kitty about 12 years old, who was rescued on Valentine’s day in 2017. I was cold, hungry, and very frightened -- and was brought inside half frozen by the kind staff at a local veterinary clinic. The staff warmed my cold body, provided medical care for my aches and pains, and fed me until I wasn't hungry. I am completely recovered, my teeth have been cleaned, and all of my blood work is normal. I now live in a foster home, where I like to watch the world from a safe spot -- I especially like to sit in a quiet cubby and meow at my human caretakers. I am somewhat reserved, and I definitely like to have my own space, but I do appreciate gentle attention from my humans, head scritches, ear massages, and quiet conversation. Do you have a warm place in your heart and your home, to give me a forever home, so that I won't have to be cold, hungry and frightened ever again? VALENTINO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur, about 5 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was finally adopted, but she had to be returned to us when her new owner lost her home. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scratches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog.
