You can now donate a car to support the Cat Rescue and Adoption Network! All vehicles are considered, running or not. Our partner makes car donations easy, supports you every step of the way, and provides a vehicle donation tax receipt. Vehicle donations are tax deductible and provide crucial support to our Oregon Cat Community.
Donating a car is really quick and easy. Simply call 855-500-7433 or click the donation button below to get started. One of the friendly donor support representatives will help you navigate the entire process, from the pick up of your vehicle, assisting with signing the title, and releasing your liability of the vehicle with the DMV.

Even though we make donating to the Cat Rescue & Adoption Network easy, we understand that you may have additional questions regarding the vehicle donation process, tax deductions, and motor vehicle regulations. Here are a few frequently asked vehicle donation questions to help provide answers to questions you may have about donating your used car, truck, RV, boat, camper or other vehicle.

What do you do with donated vehicles?
Donated vehicles are sold through the used-car markets and provide crucial funding for cat charities like CRAN. Our partner works with a very large network of nationwide and independent suppliers to sell the vehicle and maximize donation proceeds. This includes analyzing auto auction pricing and performance on a regular basis to improve the process and ensure the best possible return for our charity and to maximize our donors’ tax benefit.
For unique or specialty items that have been donated, we may use other means to sell the vehicle to help ensure the maximum funds are received for each donation.
What types of car donations do you accept?
Our Cars for Cats program accepts almost all vehicles, running or not! We strive to accept all types of donated vehicles including cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RVs, motorcycles, campers, off-road vehicles, planes, heavy equipment, farm machinery, and most other motorized vehicles.

Can I donate a junk car?
Yes, you can donate junk cars and non-running cars. Vehicles that cannot be sold through the used-car markets are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner. Scrap cars and salvage vehicles can also be donated and provide valuable resources, like steel and other metals, that can be reused.
Can I donate a really old car?
Yes, you can donate old cars and even classic cars! We have classic car partners who will help us sell your classic car and donate the proceeds to CRAN. Even if your car is old and not a classic, we can still usually get great value for it.
How quickly can I have my vehicle picked up?
In many cases, once the donation record has been created, we can arrange to have the vehicle be picked up on the initial call. In other cases, within two to three business days, our tow vendor representative for your donation will be calling/texting and/or emailing you using the information you provided on the donation form to schedule a convenient appointment time for your vehicle to be picked up.
If you need your car picked up sooner, please let one of our Vehicle Donor Support Representatives know during your initial call. We will do our best to accommodate your time frame.
Are vehicle donations tax-deductible?
Yes, vehicle donations are tax-deductible. Individual tax situations vary so please consult your tax advisor or refer to IRS Publication 4303.
Do you accept car donations in Oregon?
Our Eugene Cat Charity accepts car donations in Oregon and everywhere nationwide! You can donate a car from Roseburg to Portland, Bend to Coos Bay, and you can even donate a car to CRAN if you or your car are outside of Oregon. Our nonprofit partner can pickup and sell vehicles in any state!
How do I donate a car in Eugene?
Donating a car in Eugene is easy and only takes a few minutes to complete the process. Simply call our vehicle donation number or click the online donation form to get started. We’ll pick up your car and provide you a tax receipt. It’s that easy!
Where do you sell donated cars in Oregon?
Our partner CARS, works with most auto auction vendors, salvage yards, and scrap buyers. We can sell donated cars to auto auctions like IAA (Insurance Auto Auction), Manheim, Capital Auto, Peddle, and more. We take time to find the right buyer for each donated vehicle to maximize your contribution and possible tax deduction.
