Sirius
SIRIUS BLACK is a friendly, outgoing, good-natured, 4-month-old bundle of sweet black boy kitten who was born with a uniquely crinkled ear. He loves to play with his brothers and isn’t the least bit put off by his sometimes-cranky sister (Alani). He loves his toys and will play almost any game he can get a human to participate in, though his favorite thing is to climb into his foster mom’s lap and try to suckle her nose. He thinks dogs are intriguing, and would do well with kids. Sirius and his family were discovered at a managed feral colony in Alton Baker park, apparently abandoned. He was very frightened by humans at first, and can sometimes still be shy with new people and places. But Sirius is generally willing to make friends with almost any being who gives him a little time to get to know them, and would love to make friends with you, your family, and your other friendly pets. NOTE: SIRIUS has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs. He is now in the cattery at Petsmart in South Eugene: 2858 Willamette Street , Eugene, OR 97405 . Masha
MASHA is a solid 4-month-old black and gray tabby boy kitten with white highlights and big feet that his sturdy body is still trying to grow into. This dude loves to wrestle with his brothers and sister and will sometimes stop playing enough to groom them too. He is curious, playful and currently not much of a cuddler, as he is busy being a kitten in motion. He loves to be petted and has a huge purr-motor so we expect a bright future as a cuddler once he matures. Masha and his family were discovered at a managed feral colony in Alton Baker Park, apparently abandoned. He was very frightened by humans at first and can sometimes still be shy with new people and places. With a slow and calm introduction he will soon make friends with you and be bouncing after string toys and laser lights. Masha would love to have some feline company in his new home and thinks small, respectful dogs are interesting; he would probably be just fine with gentle children too. NOTE: MASHA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs. He is now in the cattery at our partner Petsmart , 2858 Willamette Street, Eugene OR 97405. Habibi
Meet BIBI (also known as "Habibi"), a big and beautiful black, gold, and white cat with fluffy fur as soft as a bunny's. This three-year-old “tortico” has the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico, and she epitomizes the personality of both. In fact, she won't mind you calling her "Queen Habibi." She allows her human to pet her very soft fur in moderation, and only on her terms. She is impeccable in her litterbox manners. Bibi was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal allergies or asthma. Her condition is helped by using one of the “natural” litters (pellets, corn, walnut shells etc). To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tab prednisolone every other day, which she readily accepts via a pill popper. Other than admiring looks and loyal servitude from her humans, nothing means more to Habibi than food. She is a naturally large feline, so she needs her human to keep an eye on her food intake in order for her weight to remain in the healthy range. Bibi will chase and be chased by her playful cat companions in her foster home, but her reserved personality indicates she would also do well as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. This wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and gorgeousness. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? HABIBI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. . Atlas .

Atlas
ATLAS is an extra large, handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about a year old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be precipitated by stress (including going to the vet). He has been in his current foster home for six months, and there have been absolutely no signs of seizures, so it is quite possible that he has outgrown this problem. Atlas is a bit shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. After he knows you and trust is established, he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty." Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no toddlers) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org 10/19/17 12:50 AM

Zuri
ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Alani
ALANI is a beautiful little 4-month-old, peach and white tabby tuxedo girl kitten with a lot of potential. She loves her adopted brothers and has great fun playing, wrestling and cuddling with them; she often can be calmed by her brothers’ mere presence. She is both a great climber and a great burrower; she loves to watch the action from the safety of high places and from under furniture. She can be successfully lured into playing string games and feather toy games with humans. Humans are still frightening to this sweet girl, and she will need a slow and patient family willing to make an investment in the time and energy needed to win her trust. When you can catch her, she will ultimately relax into your caress and purr for you, but she is still at the stage where she doesn’t trust human intentions. Alani was born in a bad neighborhood, where cats were at risk. She was trapped at nearly 2-months old and has made great progress with her foster family, but she is still easily frightened and defensive. If you are patient and cat-savvy, willing to invest the time and energy, and have a quiet home, this deserving little girl has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion -- but she would not be a good choice for the novice cat-owner. Alani’s adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs: she has been Felv and FIV tested (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, deflead and dewormed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. OBERON is a quiet, low-key, gentle, 4-month-old gray and white tuxedo male kitten who often hides behind his brothers -- but don’t overlook this sweet boy! His cute little white half-moustache, soft fluffy fur, and light frame combine to give him an airy feel. He may hang back at first until you win his trust and will then happily play laser light and string toy games with you until settling in for a good snuggle afterwards. His sister Alani is his good friend and he often manages to recruit her into a wrestling match and game of kitten tag. Oberon and his family were discovered at a managed feral colony in Alton Baker Park, apparently abandoned. He was very frightened by humans at first, and can sometimes still be shy with new people and places. With a gentle, calm introduction he will soon make friends – and would love a home with another playful young kitty. Oberon has met and distrusts dogs and would do best with older, cat-savvy children. Sandy
SANDY is an extremely affectionate young blue-point Siamese mix female kitty about 2 years old, with a lovely, sweet face and pretty blue eyes. She came from a group of cats that was being fed by an elderly man in Oakridge who recently had to go into a nursing home. Sandy did not have much vet care in her earlier life, and the ear mites got so bad that her left ear became crinkled. The ear mites are long since gone, but she will have this funny little ear for life! Sandy was rescued and spayed with an ear tip, and then went to live in a loving foster home where it was discovered that she is friendly and loving towards everyone she meets. She may be shy at first in her new home, but she will quickly show her sweet personality as soon as she feels safe. Due to her previous living situation, Sandy could be adopted to an indoor-outdoor home, but only if it is a VERY SAFE outdoor environment – otherwise she should be kept indoors. This young girl is so special -- she's a keeper! SANDY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is now in the cattery at Petsmart North, 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Freemont
FREMONT is a cute little black and white tuxedo male kitten with an adorable black smudge on his nose. He is sweet natured but very independent. He is almost always on his own, on the tallest perch in the house, except when it's playtime when he likes to run around with his siblings. He was the runt of the litter, but he can hold his own with his crazy big brothers. He is good with being handled (including nail trims), but he doesn't show any indication yet of being a lap cat. He would not be a good fit for young kids, but should be fine with older, cat-savvy children. He does love to play with toys, chasing the red dot or wand toys. Fremont is always the last for dinner, and is a very picky eater. He and his brothers were born in foster care to a friendly unspayed momma cat (Cupertino), and have been living in a loving foster home with adult cats and a large friendly dog. He might do best in a home with another playful young animal to siphon off his kitten energy, but Fremont would also be OK by himself as long as he gets lots of attention and stimulation. NOTE: FREMONT has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Harry
HARRY is a sweet-natured and gentle mature orange tabby male kitty who is about 9 years old. He would make a wonderful companion for older folks in a quiet, stable home. He loves to be petted and he's very affectionate with his people. Please note that he does not like to be petted around his hindquarters, so a household without young children would be best. Harry came from a family who became homeless and sadly had to relinquish their 4 cats who had lived with them since they were kittens. Harry gets along fine with other mellow cats, and he lived peacefully with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Won’t you give this loving older kitty the stable forever home he so deserves? Harry has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $60, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He is currently at Petco at 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene (open daily 9 to 9). DARWIN is a super cute little male black panther kitten who is polydactyl on all 4 paws (he has extra toes!) He and his siblings were found taped up in a cardboard box and dumped behind a house on one of the hottest days of the year. They were skinny and dehydrated, and went to live in a loving foster home with other cats, a large dog, and an active toddler. Darwin is now healthy and loves to play! He uses those giant paws to his advantage for grabbing toys and climbing up his cat tree. He is always purring and loves getting attention and lots of snuggles. His favorite things include playing with his siblings, eating wet food, chasing crinkle balls and toy mice, and curling up in your lap. Like most active young kittens, he would do best in a home with another playful young animal, or in a household where someone is home a lot to monitor him and provide him with lots of attention. YANCY is a gorgeous young male adult kitty with fluffy black fur that has a dramatic gray undercoat, especially the ruff around his neck. He is a precious young boy about 3 years old, who still has a lot of kitten in him. He enjoys other cats and has spent his life with them, but he becomes stressed if a dominant cat is aggressive with him. He is scared and shy in new situations, and will need a patient and understanding owner; once he has acclimated, however, then he is very easygoing. Yancy really enjoys playing with all the cat toys in his foster home -- he likes to flip them in the air and then hunt for them. It's not uncommon for Yancy to run through the house and skid on the area rugs. He really loves to be petted on his head and neck area, although he is still getting used to being picked up and held. He loves canned food with his meals, and he adores catnip. He has great hygiene and doesn't shed much. He appears to be afraid of dogs. Yancy was surrendered by his owner who lost her home and could no longer care for him. Won’t you give this handsome and wonderful young guy the stable forever home he so deserves? Yancy’s adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. CRYSTA is a cute little white female kitten with big gray patches (sometimes called a “cow kitty”), about 4 ½ months old. She is a sweet but very active little girl who loves snuggles and being petted. She'll start purring as soon as you touch her! Crysta loves running around chasing Da Bird, playing with any toy you give her, and figuring out puzzle toys. She's a confident kitten who likes to make friends – human and feline! She is great at using her litter box, even though she likes playing in it as well. She'll impatiently wait for her wet food, and will meow and walk in front of you to let you know it's time to feed her now! She and her sister Fiona were found abandoned by their mom cat at 4 weeks old, and raised in a loving foster home. Crysta loves to run around, jump, and climb, and is great at using her scratching post. FIONA is a pretty little white female kitten with big gray patches (sometimes called a “cow kitty”), about 4 ½ months old. She is a sweet and friendly kitten who will purr like crazy when you start to pet her. Fiona is very affectionate and loves to snuggle and play! She likes puzzle toys, mice, crinkle tunnels, and chasing Da Bird, and she loves her scratching post. She sometimes will also play crazily in her litter box. When she's comfortable and purring, Fiona has a habit of nursing on herself. (Our vets have said as long as it isn't excessive or causes sores, it's fine and kittens will usually grow out of it.) She and her sister Crysta were found abandoned by their mom cat at 4 weeks old, and raised in a loving foster home. They love to play with each other, run, jump, and climb -- so having a cat tree to play on would be a great way to drain kitten energy. SATIN is a beautiful and petite little solid black long-haired girl kitty with a curious nature, about 8 to 10 years old. She loves to explore and poke around into all the nooks and crannies of her surroundings. Leave a drawer or cabinet open, and she’ll immediately inspect it. Satin lived all her life with an elderly couple until they could no longer care for her when they moved into a long-term care facility. She is now looking for a new home where there are loving humans to pet her, interesting cubbies to explore, and windows full of light. She is generally reserved, but soon shows her affectionate and curious nature when she feels safe and comfortable. She likes a good scratching post but would rather cuddle next to you on the sofa while you read a book and stroke her head, than play with toys or run around. She could possibly coexist with one other quiet kitty, but would likely be happiest as an only cat. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. It will take him some time and a patient owner for him to acclimate to his new people. He enjoys cuddling and wrestling with his sister Maya and once he feels safe with you, will happily include you in his fun and games too. He does well with gentle, cat-friendly dogs. CUDDLES is a beautiful and sweet short-haired black and gray tabby female kitty about 12 years old. She was surrendered by her people when they moved out of state and couldn’t take her with them. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with a little patience and TLC, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting and especially chin scratches. She’ll be happiest in a quiet home with lots of low spots for her to hang out and nap in. Cuddles has been thoroughly checked out by a vet and, other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lay on your chest, legs or back, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play when she’s not asking for ear rubs. Boots
BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat who is about 10 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws, thus he must be an indoor-only cat (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy who is very quiet and has a soft purr. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. He can be quite playful at times and wants you to be involved too. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Boots' adoption fee is $60. Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Her adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to other neglected and abandoned kitties. To meet her or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to www.CatRescues.org. TOOEY is a large and handsome fluffy black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about 21 months old. He is active and playful, and very affectionate -- he's not a scaredy cat at all. He is good with being held and sitting in laps, and is very bonded to humans. Tooey was adopted from our rescue group as a kitten but when his owner moved in with a relative who was very allergic to cats, he and his sister "Wunnie," were returned. His sister has since been adopted but Tooey is still on the search. He needs a home where he can feel safe and adored and where his new owner understands that young kitties can have "wild and crazy guy" time too! Tooey will occasionally scratch when overstimulated and needs a patient and cat-savvy adopter (no young kids). He may be able to adjust to a mellow, non-dominant kitty or to a cat-friendly dog but he is not a fan of active young kittens. Who has the patience for THAT?! Won’t you give this sweet young guy the stable forever home he so deserves? His adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Tooey is currently in foster care. HOBI is a wonderfully sweet and friendly silver tabby male kitty who is estimated to be about 12 years old. He's a charming guy who is curious and outgoing, and who doesn’t act at all like a senior kitty. Don't be surprised if you see him hop up onto a cat tree or other high place, like a cat with much less life experience! He's spry and talkative and still likes to chase a string around the floor. Hobi was adopted as a kitten and lived his whole life with just one family -- until both his people suffered failing health and could no longer care for this boy. He's looking for a warm and loving forever home where his people will listen to his stories and cuddle up with him on the sofa. Hobi is great with gentle kids, and he is so laid back that he should be fine with other mellow cats. He has been neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $60 (adoption fees help us help another cat). He is currently in foster care. Ariana
ARIANA is a beautiful young female kitty with sleek black fur and a cute white spot on her chest. This 3-year-old sweetheart is seeking affection and love. She is a cat who hates to be confined, and she is quite vocal (we call her "squeakers" because she talks so much). She is a little nervous about strange sounds or unfamiliar surroundings, and will sometimes hiss or growl -- but she is never aggressive (although she should not be in a home with young kids). She loves to play with string and balls, and she really enjoys sitting and looking out windows. Ariana was adopted from WCDC as a kitten, but was returned to us when her owner became financially unstable and was unable to care for her (or give her the attention that she so strongly desires). It took Ariana awhile to learn to trust her new family, but now she is very affectionate with her foster mom's teenagers, and sleeps with them every night. She will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter who will give her time to adjust -- but this young girl really wants to be a part of a family in a stable forever home! NOTE: ARIANA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tippy
TIPPY is a gorgeous and fluffy one-year-old brown tabby female kitty who looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her. Like many cats, she wants to be in charge of her world, and prefers to decide for herself who her friends are and when she will accept being caressed. But once she's decided you are trustworthy and well-intentioned, she will purr, trill, and eagerly lean into your hand for pets. Tippy was living in a rough neighborhood, and was taken in by a kind-hearted resident who eventually surrendered her to a local vet when she became homeless. Because Tippy had to survive by her sharp wits and quick paws, she still has some issues with scratching and nipping. Since coming to our rescue group May 5 she has been bounced around to a number of different foster homes due to her unpredictable behavior. It will take a patient owner who is willing to be gentle and slow in gaining her trust and allowing her plenty of time to settle in and finally acclimate to her new surroundings. Once that happens, Tippy will make a sweet and devoted lifetime companion. She needs to be the ONLY cat, and should not be in a home with young children. Tippy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. ORPHAN ANNIE is a sweet but independent girl who is discriminating about whom she chooses as her friends. If she chooses you, you will be rewarded with LOTS of head bumps and affection! Annie would love a home where she can be her own girl but get love and treats when she is comfortable. She would do best as the only cat and would prefer a quiet home without children. Annie’s owner adopted a younger cat and Annie didn’t get along with her. She was brought to a vet to be euthanized because she growled and hissed at the new cat and our rescue group placed her into a foster home where she has blossomed into such a happy and friendly kitty. Annie is 12 years old and in good health; she would love someone's lap to warm for her golden years. Ray
RAY is an elegant adult male black and white tuxedo kitty with long fluffy fur, estimated to be between 4 and 7 years old. This magnificent fellow seeks a soft place from which to lounge, survey his territory and approve of your every action. He was abandoned by his family when they decided they were just too busy to take care of him. Ray has luminous green eyes and a very fluffy long tail which he wafts back and forth. He enjoys being brushed, will sit in your lap, and is OK with being held or carried for a short time. He is calm and easygoing, loves to talk, enjoys playing, and will make a wonderful companion for a family of adults or gentle, older children. After a thorough veterinary review, it is recommended that he be on a urinary-tract health diet, although it does not need to be a prescription diet (mainly just a high quality canned food). He would be happiest as an only cat, although he is OK with other cats if they leave him alone (he is timid). Ray's adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. LAYLA is a puffy princess -- a long-haired tortie kitty about 4 years old. She is very shy starting out, and should have a nice cozy place to hide until she has become accustomed to her new surroundings and humans. Eventually Layla loves to be very much a part of her human’s activities. She loves being petted, and in her foster home, she would run to a favorite roost and meow for her foster dad to pet her. She enjoys toys that are interactive, like Da Bird and the laser pointer. She is not fond of being held, but she is OK being carried and also brushed. She would do best as an only kitty, but she will tolerate another cat that leaves her alone and give her some space. Layla was adopted as a teenager, and came back to us as a shy kitty when her owner could no longer care for her. With patience and TLC, she has blossomed into an affectionate girl who will bond strongly to her adopter. Layla’s adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. DeeCee's adoption fee is $75 (adoption fees help us cover medical expenses). DeeCee is currently in foster. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 10/19/17 12:50 AM

NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you've earned her trust she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. Tammy is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P
MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75.
