Lilith
LILITH is a gorgeous, fluffy Flamepoint Siamese mix female kitty about 5 years old. She came from a hoarder situation where the lady passed away, and a kindly neighbor has been caring for and rehoming the cats since then. She was recently spayed with an ear tip (which is healing), but she is not in the slightest bit feral. Lilith is a calm, mellow and very affectionate cat. She will be shy at first in her new home, but once she feels safe, her new people will be rewarded with a lifetime of her gentle love. She has a sweet, non-aggressive nature, gets along well with other cats, and will likely be fine with gentle, cat-savvy dogs and children. Lilith has an endearing habit of periodically sticking out her little tongue! She has had a vet exam and was found to have some missing teeth, but she does not require dental work. She is a very special girl -- a gentle soul, who will do best in a quiet, stable household. Lilith has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Meet kitty at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart, 2848 Chad Dr., Eugene OR 97401. . Percy and Julian .

Percy and Julian
PERCY and JULIAN are 2 sweet bonded male teenager siblings about 10 ½ months old, who came to us trapped as feral kittens. PERCY is a black and white tuxedo sweetie, and JULIAN is a solid black snuggle bug. They are very shy when meeting new people, and it may take a few weeks before they get comfortable and trust you, but once they’re used to you, they'll sprawl out on their backs while sleeping, and curl up next to you to nap. Percy is the more outgoing guy, and Julian will usually follow his lead, but he is learning to ask for snuggles and pets all on his own. Percy loves to watch TV, and will come up and try to paw the screen when he thinks something interesting is happening! They're active playful kitties, and they have thrived on an all wet-food diet. They are friendly and curious with other cats, but haven't been around dogs or children. They don't do well with loud noises or shouting, and need to be in a quiet home. Because they are so bonded, we are requiring that they be adopted together. These two are just looking for the right home to call their own! They have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. They are being offered at a special bonded-pair adoption fee of $150 (instead of $100 each), which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. They are currently in the cattery at our partner store Petsmart in South Eugene (2858 Willamette St., Eugene OR 97405). For consideration, submit an adoption application at www.CatRescues.org/forms, or paper application at the Petsmart catteries. KIBBLES is an affectionate senior female kitty who has shiny black fur and a small white spot on her chest. She’s just turning 14 years old, but don’t let that fool you! She loves cuddles and her mission in life is to be petted. She enjoys play sessions and loves looking out the window. She and her step sister Snow Blossom were adopted as kittens, and have been well loved for their entire lives until their owner lost her home. Kibbles gets along great with other cats; she enjoys being with Snow Blossom, but would also be perfectly happy being adopted by herself. She is currently in a home with 3 small dogs and seems to ignore them from a distance. She has had a complete dental, and is in good health. Kibbles will be a great addition to a loving home! Sunshine
SUNSHINE is a striking grey and black petite tabby girl a little over a year old, with luminous gold eyes and mesmerizing sworls in her soft fur. She was found abandoned in Springfield and has enjoyed the company of other kitties and caring humans in her foster home. She actively seeks your attention and wants to be included in your daily adventures, even if it’s just a nap. As she gains confidence and your trust, her sweet personality unfolds. She is not a fan of being picked up or carried, preferring to be her own boss. Her new home should include at least one other cat buddy for roughhousing and private musings as well as a cat tree for her favored climbing fun and vantage point viewing pleasure. Her favorite toys are ones you engage her with to ‘be the mouse!’ SUNSHINE has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Major Tom
MAJOR TOM is a polite gentleman senior kitty who is a handsome fluffy gray and white tuxedo male about 14 years old. He is hesitant when he first meets you, but after he observes you and sees that you are gentle, he will let you pet his face and then he will be your friend forever! Major Tom was forced to find a new home when his owner lost her home. He has been in a loving foster home for awhile, getting some dental work completed and regaining his confidence. He is in excellent condition, and other than missing most of his teeth (which doesn’t slow him down one bit from eating!), he has no existing health issues. Tom is very gentle and sweet-natured, but quick to run for cover from loud noises. He loves to find a cushy spot to hang out on, or a sunny spot to soak up some warmth. He is somewhat afraid of small children, and he is pretty terrified of loud dogs. He does enjoy catnip toys, and he drools when he is happy. Won’t you give this sweet gentleman cat a quiet home to live out his remaining years? Major Tom has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kooga
KOOGA is a gentle and loving male orange tabby kitty about 14 years old, who just loves company! If you’re looking for a calm, easy-going companion to share life with, then Kooga is your man. He can be shy at first, but warms up to guests and is calm around children (he doesn’t have much energy to play with kids, but he is extremely gentle and patient with them). He is a perfect gentleman around the home -- easy to care for, soft on furniture, and simply wants to have friends to spend time with. Kooga was brought in to a local vet to be euthanized because his family was leaving on a long trip, and the vet brought him to CRAN because he was a healthy boy. We performed a complete dental on him where many of his remaining teeth were removed (thus avoiding future problems). A thorough blood workup showed Kooga to be healthy except for some very early signs of kidney disease, so he is now on a nonprescription kidney support diet. This sweet guy just loves to explore, watch movies, listen to classical music, and dreams of being a lap-cat for an adopter who is willing to accept him as their own – so that he can happily live out his golden years. KOOGA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Purrlie
PURRLIE is a gorgeous, all white, 4 ½ year-old female kitty that likes to make the rules and expects everyone around her to toe the line. She wants what she wants, and she will let you know what she wants in no uncertain terms – thus an experienced cat fancier that appreciates an independent, strong-minded feline is the right match for Miss Purrlie. Her smile-inducing acrobatics while playing with a string toy, her love of being stroked and petted, and her charming conversations (see picture) will be your reward. Since she expects to be the primary focus of your affection, other cats or small children in the home would not be desirable. But a cat perch by a sunny window and your vow to love her will win this kitty’s heart. Purrlie was declawed by her former owners (which could be why she’s so picky now about who she trusts!), so her new family will need to know that she sometimes feels very vulnerable and a quiet, gentle touch will help her from feeling defensive. Purrlie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Professor Gadget
Introducing the one and only PROFESSOR GADGET, a big, handsome, and very friendly 3-year-old male kitty who is white with a gray tabby mask, cape, and tail. The Professor is quite muscular and even sports a bit of a swagger (very noticeable when he’s strolling over to his favorite lounging area). For all of his toned athleticism, though, one might think he is really active – but he’s more of a hippie than a hard body. If you happen to observe him racing anywhere, it’s mostly because he’s hot to get to any one of his favorite spots where he’ll just stop, drop and flop over on his side, happily receiving your pets and adoration while he watches the world go by. Although Professor Gadget is very healthy right now, he does have feline leukemia. He could have many years of good life left, or several years, or something in between. He is looking for an understanding companion who will enjoy his company, revel in his quirky cuteness, and celebrate his EOKK (Essence of Kook Katness) -- someone who will love him and give him a chance to have a caring home of his very own for his remaining years. Because of his Felv status, the Professor should be an only cat, but it can’t be transmitted to dogs or people – and he does get along fine with friendly dogs. Professor Gadget has been tested for FIV (he is negative) and Felv (he is positive), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. His adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Little Richard
LITTLE RICHARD is not so little. He’s a whopping 17 lbs -- a fluffy, solid black, 10-year-old big boy with a heart to match! Looking at how regal and lion-like his face and head are, we think he has some Maine Coon in him. Richard is a real love bug. He doesn’t mind when you pick him up and love on him -- in fact his purr motor starts up right away! He was abandoned by his original owners and taken in by the mom of a realtor who found him left behind. He was spoiled for several years until his new mom passed away, so it’s time for him to have his own stable furever home again! Richard has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound (while he would be safest as an only cat, he does get along well with other cats). He has been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and other than needing a dental (which we are completing) and a very mild heart murmur, he is a healthy boy. Little Richard has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care: to meet him submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at Petsmart. Sharkey
LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT INDOOR-OUTDOOR KITTY? Sharkey is a beautiful young female gray and white tuxedo kitty who is 3 years old. She was adopted as a kitten, but her adopters have had a drastic change of life circumstances and can no longer keep her. She is independent, but friendly. She likes to snuggle a bit in the morning, but is not needy and entertains herself. Sharkey has great house manners, and doesn’t scratch the furniture, but she is bonkers about wanting to be outside and will freak out if denied access (she loves her cat door). In her current home she stays very nicely in the enclosed backyard, while cleverly climbing trees and structures and roofs and anything else she can get her paws on. In other words, she stays close by choice, but is very adventurous and loves heights. Sharkey’s favorite thing is cardboard boxes – she never met a box she didn’t like! She gets along really well with other cats, and while she has lived with dogs in the past she is not fond of them. She would tolerate a calm smaller dog but doesn’t like big jumpy ones. Sharkey has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her $75 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Tang
TANG is a large, extremely handsome chocolate-point Siamese mix male kitty with adorable white highlights (including a half mustache), just over 10 years old. He’s a little reserved when he first meets you, but kind words and Temptations treats speed up the process. Once Tang trusts you, he will ask for pets, brushing, and ear massages. Tang's family could no longer care for him, so he was surrendered to CRAN. He was sad and withdrawn for a few weeks, but one day he decided that he was ready to move on and be happy again. Tang has the desire to be a lap cat, but because of his size, he finds it somewhat challenging to fit all of himself into the average lap. He loves catnip, and enjoys carrying his catnip toys around with him. He likes his fuzzy bed, and he likes having a safe cubby area to hide in when he hears strange noises. He loves finding a sunny spot for his naps. This wonderful boy is a lover, not a fighter – but because in his past he has been placed in situations where he has had to defend himself, he probably should be an only cat. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Katana
KATANA is a 1 year old beauty with soft, fluffy black fur. She’s sure that life was meant for lounging in exotic places while having every need and desire attended to by adoring fans. However, she has little patience for those that are pushy and overly exuberant. She would prefer that kittens and others that are too energetic keep their distance and, in fact, would be very happy to be the only feline in your life. Her favorite hobbies are being gently brushed, listening to poetry (mostly about how beautiful she is), and taste-testing treats. She does like to play when the mood strikes so be prepared with a string toy or cat dancer! Katana is ready for the good life after struggling as a single, homeless mom with a litter of kittens. Thanks to a kind Good Samaritan, Katana was rescued and now wants to reach her full potential while being pampered and adored. Just don’t pick her up too often or for long periods of time. She finds that very demeaning and will let you know she’s displeased. Katana has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Momo and Sophia
MOMO (aka Mona Lisa) and her roommate SOPHIA THE FLUFF have been together for about 8½ years, since they were kittens. They were surrendered by their owners when they became homeless. Sophia is a fluffy, long-haired black female kitty with a delightful mane around her neck and a fluffy tail. She is a dominant cat who is quiet and sweet natured, but she will let you know vocally when she wants something. She is energetic and playful, follows her foster mom around the house, loves to sit in her lap, and likes her beautiful coat brushed. MoMo is a short-haired female black kitty with a bit of white on her chest and underbelly. She is quiet, reticent, and very sweet -- instead of meowing, she makes small chirping sounds. She loves playing with catnip toys and sitting on the windowsill watching for any outside activity. She also loves to be brushed, and once she knows you, she just might curl up in your lap. She will step aside to let her roommate have first dibs at the food dish. Both cats will tolerate other cats after a period of adjustment. They both have had a complete dental performed, and are in good health. Each kitty comes with a new soft-sided carrier, and a water fountain. Both cats have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. The adoption fee for the pair is $125, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. You may visit them at Wags! Dog and Cat Emporium, 485 Coburg Rd, Eugene, open every day from 9am to 7pm. Bella
BELLA is a gorgeous little dilute tortie female youngster about a year and half old, with thick, plush fur and the prettiest green eyes you can imagine. She is on the shy side, but with love and patience, she warms up slowly to her human companion. Her favorite thing to do is to sit in the window and gaze out at the birds. She would probably do well with another shy, quiet cat. Bella was part of a colony of neighborhood cats in Eugene, and was taken into a loving foster home where she gave birth to a litter of kittens (all adopted now). Bella subsequently went to the vet where she received “the works” and was given an excellent bill of health. Now this sweet, beautiful girl is awaiting your visit, and hopefully you will make her yours furrever! Bella does very well with other cats in her space, but should not be in a home with children or dogs - she thrives in a peaceful setting! Bella has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Bella is currently in foster care. Sophia and Momo
SOPHIA THE FLUFF and her roommate, MOMO (aka Mona Lisa) have been together for about 8½ years, since they were kittens. Valentino
age is guesstamitMy name is VALENTINO, and I’m a solid black adult male kitty about 12 years old, who was rescued on Valentine’s day in 2017. I was cold, hungry, and very frightened -- and was brought inside half frozen by the kind staff at a local veterinary clinic. The staff warmed my cold body, provided medical care for my aches and pains, and fed me until I wasn't hungry. I am completely recovered, my teeth have been cleaned, and all of my blood work is normal. I now live in a foster home, where I like to watch the world from a safe spot -- I especially like to sit in a quiet cubby and meow at my human caretakers. I am somewhat reserved, and I definitely like to have my own space, but I do appreciate gentle attention from my humans, head scritches, ear massages, and quiet conversation. Do you have a warm place in your heart and your home, to give me a forever home, so that I won't have to be cold, hungry and frightened ever again? VALENTINO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and his adoption fee is $60. If you are interested in meeting Valentino, please submit an adoption application for consideration either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. Fleur
FLEUR is a pretty and petite little short-haired brown tabby girl kitty with dramatic spots and stripes. She’s a sweet and gentle senior lady estimated to be about 13 years old, who wants nothing more than to snuggle and love you. She was found wandering the streets as a friendly, unfixed stray. Fleur eats well, always uses her litterbox, and enjoys a little play time (catnip toys are a favorite of hers) -- but most often you will find Fleur following you around, or snoozing cuddled up next to you. As an older cat, she might be happiest as the only pet, especially since she has such a strong desire for human attention. Fleur needs a calm, attentive and loving household where she can happily live out her remaining years. When left alone for long periods, she'll cry for more love, so it's best that her new family be around most of the time to keep her company. PLEASE NOTE that Fleur is partially deaf, but she is not skittish in the least. She is now in the very early stages of kidney disease, and should stay on a prescription kidney diet. Fleur has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Dorian
DORIAN is a sleek young black panther teenager kitten with one tiny spot of white on his chest. He started out the first couple of months of his life in a field with no human contact. Because of this, he was quite wary of humans when he first came to his foster home, where he has been learning to trust his human companions. Dorian is a sweet, sweet boy who wants to be loved so badly. He just gets a little nervous about it sometimes! He gets along well with all of the kitties that he meets, but would do best in a quiet, cat-experienced home without any young children or dogs. He would be a great addition to a home that patiently allows him time to settle in, and gives him the head and butt scratches that he loves! Once he bonds to his new owner, he will be a devoted companion for life. DORIAN has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care. As a special needs kitty, his adoption fee has been reduced to $60. Janine is an adorable and petite tortie female kitty, estimated to be about 3 to 4 years old. She was found abandoned in an RV in Junction City, and had been previously spayed (as you can see from her tipped ear). Janine is briefly unsure of herself in new situations, and would like a quiet place to hide at first so that she can check out her new surroundings. However, once she feels comfortable, she will dazzle you with her acrobatic skills. She can climb, jump, and she is very good at leaping up onto your shoulder and balancing there, ready or not! She is so active and playful, but be forewarned that she can also be an escape artist. She will chat back and forth with you, with her little meows and chirpy noises. At the end of her playtime, she will either find your lap, or snuggle up next to you for some quiet time. Janine is not a fan of other cats, and would do best as the queen of a one-cat household. This lively and friendly girl needs a stable forever home! JANINE has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. TIMARIE is a petite, pretty little female tortoiseshell kitty about 4 years old. She has dark fur with flashes of orange. She loves to sit on a tall perch and watch the world go by. Timarie is big on head bumps and scritches -- and she has the best purr in the world! She can be a rather passionate puss, and sometimes does not want you to put her down. She was rescued as an abandoned stray, and has one ear that looks a bit tattered from her life on the streets. She does have a sensitivity to fleas, but a monthly dose of flea meds keeps her skin and hair beautiful. She has lived with other kitties and does well with non-confrontational cats. Cat-friendly dogs should be okay with a slow introduction (she has done fine with her foster mom’s Chiweenie). This sweet kitty is one special gal who will be a loyal friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. GRETEL is an affectionate 7 ½ year old female tabby cat who loves to sit on everyone’s lap. This big girl boasts large green eyes and beautifully patterned dark brown and gray fur. She has many wonderful qualities including being comfortable with visitors, assisting her loved ones at the computer, understanding house rules on claws, singing opera (she does like to use her voice!), and practicing napping skills on her foster parents' bed. Gretel was surrendered to a local vet for euthanasia because of her digestive issues, and was instead brought to a loving CRAN foster home to be cared for. She has an excellent appetite and is on a special diet for sensitive stomachs, which is doing the trick – along with an inexpensive steroid to aid in digestion. She would probably do best as an only pet to help keep her comfortable and happy, and in a quieter home without very young kids. Gretel (and her adorable, friendly personality) is just waiting for a stable forever home where she can be loved and love you back in return! KADE is a big, beautiful cream-colored adult male kitty who looks to be some sort of a Siamese mix. He’s estimated to be about 10 years old, and was found as a stray living outside an apartment complex, fending for himself with the help of a good Samaritan who was feeding him. He had been neutered previously with an ear tip. He is now in a loving foster home, and he is still somewhat shy and a bit cautious when giving out his love. As he learns to trust humans again, he is becoming more outgoing – and if his new adopters are gentle and patient, they will be rewarded with a loving companion. Kade does not like other cats at all, and needs to be the only kitty. He is currently on a diet for urinary tract health (he is excellent with his litterbox use). This sweet boy needs a quiet, stable forever home with no young kids and an experienced cat person. Sponsored Adoption?ZOE is a cute and petite little adult black and white tuxedo female kitty about 12 years old. She was brought into a local vet and surrendered as a very frightened and upset kitty – most likely she had been abused in her past. It has taken Zoe about a year to calm down and become more outgoing and affectionate, and she has bonded strongly to her foster mom. She even tolerates strangers now for short sessions of petting. Thus it is likely she will similarly bond to a cat-savvy adopter given plenty of time and TLC. She is absolutely terrified of kids, but does well with her foster mom’s dogs. We do not know how she would do with another kitty. Zoe needs a kind-hearted good Samaritan willing to give this older adult with a difficult past a chance at a new life. HARRY is a sweet-natured and gentle mature orange tabby male kitty who is about 9 years old. He would make a wonderful companion for older folks in a quiet, stable home. He loves to be petted and he's very affectionate with his people. Please note that he does not like to be petted around his hindquarters, so a household without young children would be best. Harry came from a family who became homeless and sadly had to relinquish their 4 cats who had lived with them since they were kittens. Harry gets along fine with other mellow cats, and he lived peacefully with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Won’t you give this loving older kitty the stable forever home he so deserves? Harry has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Meet Habibi (aka “BIBI”), a big, beautiful black/gold/white 4-year-old female kitty with soft fluffy fur, and the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico. You may call her 'Queen Habibi' -- she allows her human to pet her super soft fur in moderation, and on her terms. Bibi was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal asthma. To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tab prednisolone daily, which she readily accepts via a pill popper or in a pill pocket. It’s also best to use a dust-free litter, such as pellets or corn. She is an extremely enthusiastic eater, so she needs her human to keep an eye on her food intake in order for her weight to remain in the healthy range. Bibi will chase and be chased by her playful cat companions in her foster home, but her reserved personality indicates that she would also do well as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. This gorgeous, wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and lots of love. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Atlas
ATLAS is an extra large, handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about 2 years old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be caused by stress. During the year that he has lived in his current foster home, he has been very healthy, and has only had one seizure (which was precipitated by taking him to the vet). Thus we now use a mobile vet to give him his vaccinations. Atlas is a bit shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. After he knows you and trust is established, he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty." Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no toddlers) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org ID# 1607-C0310 4/19/18 2:02 AM

DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. DeeCee is currently in foster care; for information on how to meet this kitty, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID#1510-C0535R. Then submit an adoption application that can be found online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or a hard copy available at the Petsmart catteries. 4/19/18 2:02 AM

Tammy
TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you've earned her trust she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. Tammy is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tammy's adoption fee is just $75 which allows us to pay it forward to help other kitties. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 4/19/18 2:02 AM

Tooey
TOOEY is a large, handsome, fluffy, black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about 2 ½ years old. He is active, playful and very affectionate. Tooey is on the search for the purrfect home where he can feel safe and adored and where his new owner will understand that young kitties can be really fun, even a bit 'wild and crazy' at times (he was returned by his elderly first adopter for being too energetic). Tooey would like to find a patient, cat-savvy adopter who will know how to read the signs when he has been overstimulated. He may be able to adjust to a mellow, non-dominant kitty or to a cat-friendly dog, but he is not a fan of active young kittens or kids. Do you have the stable, forever home this sweet young guy so deserves? Tooey has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care: to meet him submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at Petsmart. His $75 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Her adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to other neglected and abandoned kitties. To meet her or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to www.CatRescues.org. CUDDLES is a beautiful and sweet short-haired black and gray tabby female kitty who is about 13 years old. She was surrendered by her people when they moved away and couldn’t take her with them. It took her time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with patience and love, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting, ear rubs, and chin scratches. She will be happiest in a quiet home with a cat-savvy adopter, and low spots for her to hang out in and nap in. She’s been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lie on your chest or legs, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play. She prefers you don’t touch her feet, but once she trusts you, she is good with being brushed. Won’t you give this sweet older lady a place to live out her golden years? CUDDLES has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Miss Squeaky P
MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75. She is currently living in a loving foster home where she can be easily visited.
