Cassiopeia
CASSIOPEIA is a sweet and bouncy little solid gray female kitten about 3 ½ months old. You can tell her apart from her twin sister ARLA by her lighter gray fur. She and her 4 siblings were rescued as babies from a lumber mill, and have been raised in a loving foster home. Cassiopeia is a fast little rocket kitten, built for speed; she loves running around, exploring, chasing or being chased by her littermates. Where you find Cassiopeia, you will usually find Arla! They are two vocal little double-trouble sisters, but also as sweet and as gentle as can be, and they love affection! Cassiopeia likes to regularly check in with her humans, purring and rubbing against your legs until you pick her up. Like most active and sociable young kittens, it is critical that Cassiopia be in a home with another kitten – preferably her sister Arla – or a playful young cat for her to romp around with and cuddle with. Cassiopeia has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Mika
MIKA is a black, short-haired female about one year old. She came to CRAN as a stray with a litter of newborn kittens, and is now ready to find her a forever home of her own! Mika is very affectionate, and seeks out attention from everyone – kids and adults alike. She is sociable, outgoing, and friendly, and her FAVORITE place in the world is curled up in your lap! She is now learning how to play and chase things for fun. Mika could probably coexist OK with a friendly dog, but she does not get along with other cats. This sweet girl just wants a human she can bond with and cuddle with, and she will make an awesome feline companion for that special someone. Mika has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Meet kitty at the cattery inside our partner Wags! Saffron
SAFFRON is a cute and cuddly little tortoiseshell female kitten about 3 ½ months old. Like her sister Pepper, she has an orange stripe down her nose, but her fur is lighter colored with many orange highlights (including an orange paw and ear). Saffron’s siblings and their friendly mama cat were found abandoned in a junkyard, and they all went to live in a loving foster home. Saffron loves her head rubs very much, and is quite the talker –she meows back at just about anything you say to her. She adores chasing other kitties and playing with toys! She can be a little shy with new people, but warms up quickly. Like most energetic young kittens, it is very important that Saffron be in a home with another kitten (such as her sister Pepper) or playful young cat for her to romp around with and cuddle with. She and her 4 siblings were rescued as babies from a lumber mill, and have been raised in a loving foster home. Arla thinks that she is a little Egyptian Kitty Princess. She loves racing around the house as if it were a race track, up and over obstacles, under chairs and tables, chasing her cat toys or her litter mates. This vocal little girl loves to explore with her sister Cassiopeia -- where you find one, you usually find the other! Oscar de la Renta
OSCAR de la Renta is an incredibly sweet, black adult male kitty whose slightly scruffy fur and speckled gray hairs speak to his life on the streets. Estimated to be about 8 years old, he was found abandoned in Eugene, and rescued by a local vet who nursed him back to health. All Oscar wants to do is to sit on your lap and be loved – if he could be on your lap all day, he would be in heaven. He loves to have a cardboard box to sleep in at night. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime – but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. [We also did a complete dental on Oscar] The virus can't be passed to dogs or people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Oscar is afraid of dogs, but seems to be fine with other mellow kitties. Won’t you give this loving older guy the stable forever home he so deserves? He has tested negative for feline leukemia, and has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Meet him at our partner Petco, 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application for consideration online at www.CatRescues.org/forms) or paper copy available at the store. . Benjamin .

Benjamin
Benjamin is an adorable, friendly, sweet short-haired orange tabby. Benjamin is just a baby (about 3.5 months old) and is looking for a forever home with his brother, Thomas. Thomas and Benjamin’s mom was a feral cat who started taking food from their foster’s garage. It was apparent she was lactating and had kittens so it was a waiting game. On July 4th, she brought Thomas and Benjamin to eat. So the two were named after two of our founding fathers and trapped. Initially terrified of people as they had never even seen one, they have made amazing progress in the last month. Benjamin is the introvert of the two. He’s worried about the big world around him but gets more comfortable daily. He’s been about a week behind Thomas but now enjoys being pet and purrs and kneads. Ben gets a bit nervous being held but is getting more comfortable. He now enjoys playing especially with niko flies or feathers on a string. Benjamin loves his wet food. Thomas and Benjamin will need a cat-experienced adopter who can be patient with them. They will do better if initially started out in a room to help them feel safe while they get to know you. They will require several daily interactions to get used to their new people and lives. Secrets to winning Benjamin over include tuna (just as a treat and positive reinforcement for coming up to you), feed his wet food out of your hand, cheek and chin scratches, bugs or feathers on a string. Benjamin and Thomas are looking for a quiet home. They would be fine with a mellow friendly cat or dog with a slow introduction. These boys are special but need someone willing to give them the time they need so they can reach their potential due to their hard start in life. Are you that person? Benjamin will be neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested for FELV/FIV, microchipped, deflead and dewormed prior to adoption. The adoption fee for both boys is just $200 (bonded pairs are usually $245 but these boys have a sponsor helping them) and allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1 for more information or to schedule a meeting. # 1807-C0262 8/15/18 4:52 PM

Versace
VERSACE (or ‘SACE) is a handsome little 3-month-old male Russian Blue-mix gray kitten with some faint tabby stripes. He was found abandoned in a yard at 4 weeks old, and had to be bottle fed at first. He can be a little timid in new situations and with new people or cats, but he quickly reverts to his snuggly, playful self. ‘Sace simply loves attention, and when entering the room, he’ll run to greet you and begin his nonstop motorboat purr. He was raised with two rambunctious male kitties, and he thoroughly enjoyed their companionship, playtime, and rough and tumble wrestling. One minute Versace maybe curled up in his cat bed, but the next minute he’ll be running up the cat tree or chasing his toy mice. He's very vocal and will talk to you with hardly any encouragement needed. He will curl up next to you at night and sing you to sleep. With all of his energy. It is very important that there be another kitten or playful young cat in the household for ‘Sace to play with. Versace has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. Tiana
TIANA is an adorable little long-haired brown tabby female kitten about 3 months old. She is a sweet, playful kitty who is a bit shy at first with strangers or in new situations -- but she will usually start purring within seconds of being picked up. However, like most kittens she is very energetic, and it’s not long before she'll be wriggling to get down and back to her play. She loves chasing ping pong balls, the ring with the ball that spins around inside, playing with her siblings, and batting at anything that moves. It is very important that Tiana have another kitten or playful young cat that she can buddy up with and romp around with. She should do well with gentle, respectful kids, and she's used to hearing a dog bark (although she hasn't yet interacted with one). Tiana has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. Vinka
Vinka is a shy but sweet female senior adult kitty about 11 years old, who is white with a gray mask and patches of gray on her back (sometimes called a “cow kitty”). She is partially blind with a touch of arthritis, but when she is comfortable with her surroundings, she paves a pathway which leads her back to her food, water, litterbox, and her favorite sunny spot. Vinka's human passed away and she was put outside to fend for herself. A nice neighbor fed her, but ultimately she was taken to a vet to be euthanized. Because the vet recognized a sweet girl with a gentle disposition, she was transferred to CRAN. She likes to be brushed and petted, and is definitely a lap cat. She shows her appreciation by licking her foster mom's fingers. She usually comes when called by name -- especially when it is mealtime – and she will answer with one of her cute little meows to let you know where she is. She is on a prescription diet that helps maintain her gastrointestinal health. She has great litterbox habits. Vinka has recovered from being dumped onto the streets, and with a kind and patient adopter who will allow her plenty of time to learn to trust, she will make a very loving companion. Vinka has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. BRAVEHEART is a fearless and outgoing little male black panther kitten about 3 months old. He was one of a litter of kittens born in their foster home to a stray momma cat, and he and his 4 brothers have had great fun wrestling and playing together. This confident little guy is always the 'first' in his litter of kittens: First to eat solid food, first to walk, first to play. He is an intrepid adventurer, always up for exploring new territory and leading the other kittens in a rollicking game of chase. He enjoys playing with his cat toys (especially string toys and ping pong balls) and runs circles around his brothers. When he finally gets tuckered out, you can find him curled up next to you in front of the television. Like most energetic young kittens, it is extremely important that Braveheart be in a home with another kitten or playful young cat that he can buddy up with. Miss Honey
Are you up for the challenge of a wonderful, quirky calico cat? Inquisitive, outgoing and gorgeous, MISS HONEY is a striking young calico and tabby girl about 3 years old, who is a unique mixture of friendly and frightened. With people she trusts, she will purr non-stop just because you’re in the same room with her, quietly keep tabs on you while you work nearby, and then will romp after any toy that you offer – she will even play fetch with you! If she thinks you might do something to her that she dislikes, you can also literally scare the pee right out of this sensitive soul. This sweetheart was rescued as a tiny kitten by a family who loved her dearly, but surrendered her to a shelter because of their own declining health. Sadly, the stresses of her environment combined with her sensitive personality brought on health issues for Miss Honey, and when she reached our care, she was suffering from an inflammation of her bladder. Her symptoms are now well managed through a combination of a quiet, unthreatening environment, a calming diet, pheromone collar and diffuser, medication (which we are slowly reducing), and a patient foster mom. With each passing day, Honey is becoming healthier and more relaxed. This sweet girl will need time to trust new humans and, if you are up for that challenge, you will be rewarded with a unique relationship with a wonderfully personable calico queen kitty. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. As a special needs cat, her adoption fee is only $60.00, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Miss Honey can be met in foster and would love to make your acquaintance. For information on how to meet this kitty, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. Then submit an adoption application that can be found online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or a hard copy available at the PetSmart catteries, and a volunteer will contact you. Hoshi-Piper
HOSHI PIPER is a beautiful Siamese mix female adult kitty with tortoiseshell coloring, about 6 years old. She was originally adopted as a kitten from our group in 2012, but her former family had to give her up when their living circumstances drastically changed and they could no longer keep her. Hoshi is quite the “queen cat” and thinks it is part of her job to be The Boss of the other foster kitties. She is so cute when she struts around being Little Miss Important Pants – so if she is going to live with another kitty, it had better be with one who can tolerate a pushy female (she would do best as the only cat). She doesn’t appear to be afraid of dogs, and likely could live with a friendly one. Her favorite thing in the world is a nice pile of catnip on a card-board scratcher, which she’ll roll around in until it’s all gone. This special girl is going to provide years of hilarious fun to the right family who will love and appreciate her! Hoshi-Piper has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. LAINIE is a long and lean female adult kitty who is a dilute tortoiseshell mixed with a brown tabby, sometimes called a torbie. This girl is estimated to be 6-8 years old, and is free of the usually snooty attitude of a tortie (the tabby in her wins out!). Lainie appeared in her foster mom’s neighborhood, hungry and scared, but after some good food and lots of TLC, she is healthy and has blossomed into quite the confident little feline! Lainie is mostly quiet and can be a bit surprising when she turns on her singing voice. She is affectionate with a soft purr. She loves loves LOVES wet food and will be your best friend for wet food, soft pets and neck scritches. She enjoys gazing out the window and watching the world go by. Lainie is friendly with her foster mom’s other foster kitties. They share scratch posts and trade beds without much fuss. She is a polite little gal and is one of foster mom’s favorites! Lainie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. If you’re in the market for a grateful cat, a sweet 12-year-old gentleman kitty who quietly soaks up love and affection with the surprise and appreciation of a cat that has been neglected for a long time, then you should meet ANDER! This handsome, all-black, slightly-fluffy guy was left behind when his humans were evicted from their home in Springfield. Surviving in the neighborhood for more than a year wasn’t easy for this very gentle cat, and he is still regaining his confidence. Though he’s getting braver, he still startles at loud noises and runs for cover, but quickly returns to see what’s going on. He now appreciates lap time and human attention, and shows his thanks with a grateful and resounding purr. Good nutrition and medical care have restored his health and put him back on sound footing, and ready to begin his search for a family that will cherish and care for him -- and be his forever family. Will it be you? Ander has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. Black Velvet
BLACK VELVET is a beautiful, fluffy solid black male kitty who is DECLAWED on his front paws. He is 11 years old. He was found as a stray in Springfield, and efforts to locate his owners were unsuccessful. Velvet has been thoroughly checked out by a vet, and he is a healthy boy (including his teeth!). He is a little shy in new situations and it will take him a bit of time to adjust, but once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate and very laid back boy. He loves to be held and petted, is good with cuddling, and will make a wonderful companion. He is very nondominant and REALLY enjoys being with other cats, so he would do best in a home with at least one other friendly cat. Because he is declawed, he must be an indoor-only cat. Velvet has a bit of an itchy skin, so he will need an inexpensive cortisone shot about every 3 or 4 months. Won't you give this sweet and quiet boy a safe and secure forever home? He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Velvet is currently in foster care; For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@westcoastdogandcat.org . ~ BLACK VELVET is part of our "Give Love" promotion running through Valentine's Day. Blue
BLUE --- an extra-large, fluffy 5-year-old orange and white male tabby tuxedo who is now sporting a summer “lion cut” to help him stay cool. He was found as a stray, and it turns out his rescuer’s dad is severely allergic to cats. Blue is a little standoffish at first, but responds well to calm attention and affection (he doesn’t like loud noises or fast actions). He likes his chest scratched and he’s a bit of a talker -- but not in excess. At 14 pounds he could stand to lose a little weight. He is an indoor-outdoor cat who likes to bask in the sun on warm summer days – so he will need an adopter with a VERY SAFE outdoor environment. He spends the colder months lounging around indoors. He uses both an indoor litterbox and the great outdoors. Blue doesn’t hunt birds or squirrels but he’s been known to catch mice. He is tolerant of and curious about other cats, but he doesn’t go out of his way to be friendly. During bad weather and at night he likes a spot of his own, usually a chair where he can be near you and feel safe while you do your work. Like most adult cats, he’s not much of a lap cat, but will sit (or lie) either at your feet or on the sofa by you. He likes both wet food and kibble, makes “piggy” noises when he eats, and snores when he sleeps. When his fur grows out, he needs to be brushed frequently to prevent mats. Blue is an independent guy who likes to know you’re around and will respond warmly to affection. Blue has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. age is estimateSOPHIE SOPH is a quiet yet playful, short-haired 3-year-old beautiful black female kitty. She loves jumping wildly through the air while playing with her wand toys. She likes being gently petted and snuggling on the bed, but she has boundaries and wants to be in control of the amount of her interactions. It takes her awhile to acclimate to a new situation, but when she does, she will give head-butts, enjoys being kissed on her forehead, and loves gentle chin and ear rubs. When she is content, she likes to lie upside down on the floor with her tummy in the air. She isn't very needy, and is so quiet you have to keep an eye out for her sometimes. However, once she is bonded to you, she doesn't like being separated from her people, and will scratch at a closed door. She isn't a big fan of other cats, and would prefer to be the only cat in the household. She can be a bit unpredictable until she has settled in, and may occasionally give you a whack with her paws, so she would not be good in a home with young kids or a fragile senior. Sophie was a neighborhood stray being cared for by a friendly neighbor, until she was rescued and put into a loving CRAN foster home. This affectionate and friendly girl needs a safe and secure forever home with a patient owner who will allow her the time that she needs to settle in. To her delight, Samantha had an easily treatable thyroid imbalance, and within a month had completely regained her health and is now a beautiful, loving and affectionate cat. All she needs to stay healthy is a small, inexpensive half-pill twice daily for the rest of her life (the cost is under $10 per month). Samantha loves to be picked up and stroked, to sit on laps, and to happily cuddle with her human. She has a calm and gentle demeanor, and will thrive in a quiet, stable household. KOOGA is a gentle and loving male orange tabby kitty about 14 years old, who just loves company! If you’re looking for a calm, easy-going companion to share life with, then Kooga is your man. He can be shy at first, but warms up to guests and is calm around children (he doesn’t have much energy to play with kids, but he is extremely gentle and patient with them). He is a perfect gentleman around the home -- easy to care for, soft on furniture, and simply wants to have friends to spend time with. Kooga was brought in to a local vet to be euthanized because his family was leaving on a long trip, and the vet brought him to CRAN because he was a healthy boy. We performed a complete dental on him where many of his remaining teeth were removed (thus avoiding future problems). A thorough blood workup showed Kooga to be healthy except for some very early signs of kidney disease, so he is now on a nonprescription kidney support diet. This sweet guy just loves to explore, watch movies, listen to classical music, and dreams of being a lap-cat for an adopter who is willing to accept him as their own – so that he can happily live out his golden years. KOOGA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. PURRLIE is a gorgeous, all white, 4 ½ year-old female kitty that likes to make the rules and expects everyone around her to toe the line. She wants what she wants, and she will let you know what she wants in no uncertain terms – thus an experienced cat fancier that appreciates an independent, strong-minded feline is the right match for Miss Purrlie. Her smile-inducing acrobatics while playing with a string toy, her love of being stroked and petted, and her charming conversations (see picture) will be your reward. Since she expects to be the primary focus of your affection, other cats or small children in the home would not be desirable. But a cat perch by a sunny window and your vow to love her will win this kitty’s heart. Purrlie was declawed by her former owners (which could be why she’s so picky now about who she trusts!), so her new family will need to know that she sometimes feels very vulnerable and a quiet, gentle touch will help her from feeling defensive. Purrlie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. age is guesstamitMy name is VALENTINO, and I’m a solid black adult male kitty about 12 years old, who was rescued on Valentine’s day in 2017. I was cold, hungry, and very frightened -- and was brought inside half frozen by the kind staff at a local veterinary clinic. The staff warmed my cold body, provided medical care for my aches and pains, and fed me until I wasn't hungry. I am completely recovered, my teeth have been cleaned, and all of my blood work is normal. I now live in a foster home, where I like to watch the world from a safe spot -- I especially like to sit in a quiet cubby and meow at my human caretakers. I am somewhat reserved, and I definitely like to have my own space, but I do appreciate gentle attention from my humans, head scritches, ear massages, and quiet conversation. Do you have a warm place in your heart and your home, to give me a forever home, so that I won't have to be cold, hungry and frightened ever again? VALENTINO has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. DORIAN is a sleek young black panther teenager kitten with one tiny spot of white on his chest. He started out the first couple of months of his life in a field with no human contact. Because of this, he was quite wary of humans when he first came to his foster home, where he has been learning to trust his human companions. Dorian is a sweet, sweet boy who wants to be loved so badly. He just gets a little nervous about it sometimes! He gets along well with all of the kitties that he meets, but would do best in a quiet, cat-experienced home without any young children or dogs. He would be a great addition to a home that patiently allows him time to settle in, and gives him the head and butt scratches that he loves! NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. She has many wonderful qualities including being comfortable with visitors, assisting her loved ones at the computer, understanding house rules on claws, singing opera (she does like to use her voice!), and practicing napping skills on her foster parents' bed. Gretel was surrendered to a local vet for euthanasia because of her digestive issues, and was instead brought to a loving CRAN foster home to be cared for. She has an excellent appetite and is on a special diet for sensitive stomachs, which is doing the trick – along with an inexpensive steroid to aid in digestion. HARRY is a sweet-natured and gentle mature orange tabby male kitty who is about 9 years old. He would make a wonderful companion for older folks in a quiet, stable home. He loves to be petted and he's very affectionate with his people. Please note that he does not like to be petted around his hindquarters, so a household without young children would be best. Harry came from a family who became homeless and sadly had to relinquish their 4 cats who had lived with them since they were kittens. Harry gets along fine with other mellow cats, and he lived peacefully with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Won’t you give this loving older kitty the stable forever home he so deserves? Harry has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Harry is currently in foster care; for information on how to meet this kitty, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID#1710-C0576. Then submit an adoption application that can be found online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or a hard copy available at the Petsmart catteries. Habibi
Meet Habibi (aka “BIBI”), a big, beautiful black/gold/white 4-year-old female kitty with soft fluffy fur, and the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico. You may call her "Queen Habibi" -- she allows her human to pet her super soft fur in moderation, and on her terms. Bibi was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal asthma. To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tab prednisolone daily, which she readily accepts via a pill popper or in a pill pocket. It’s also best to use a dust-free litter, such as pellets or corn. She is an extremely enthusiastic eater, so she needs her human to keep an eye on her food intake in order for her weight to remain in the healthy range. Bibi will chase and be chased by her playful cat companions in her foster home, but her reserved personality indicates that she would also do well as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. This gorgeous, wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and lots of love. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? Habibi has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. Kitty is currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Once we have your application, a volunteer will call to determine best fit and arrange a possible meet/greet. The $75 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Zuri
ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Atlas
ATLAS is an extra large, handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about 2 years old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be caused by stress. During the year that he has lived in his current foster home, he has been very healthy, and has only had one seizure (which was precipitated by taking him to the vet). Thus we now use a mobile vet to give him his vaccinations. Atlas is a bit shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. After he knows you and trust is established, he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty." Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no toddlers) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org ID# 1607-C0310 8/15/18 4:52 PM

DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me, me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty not quite 3 years old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. I was surrendered by my adopters because their other cat was bullying me, and keeping me cornered and stressed. I have been treated for a urinary tract infection, but I am healthy now and using my box regularly. I will need to stay on a standard urinary tract health diet, and would probably do best as an only cat. I have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (I am negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. My special adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. I am currently in foster care. For adoption consideration, complete an application at www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart store. Tammy
Special Promotion - Adoption Fee Waived through July 4 TAMMY is a shy and very sweet young female kitty about 3 years old with plush black fur. She was born to a neighborhood stray (and spayed with an ear tip), and went to live in a loving foster home where she learned to trust people. She was adopted as a kitten, but her first owner passed away. Tammy is active and playful, but it takes her a while to acclimate to a new situation or new people. Once you've earned her trust, however, she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. Tammy needs to be the "top banana”, but she might be OK with a nondominant younger kitty. She will thrive in a quiet home without young children. She is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tammy's adoption fee is just $75 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Her adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to other neglected and abandoned kitties. To meet her or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to www.CatRescues.org. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 8/15/18 4:52 PM
