Fleur
FLEUR is a pretty and petite little short-haired brown tabby girl kitty with dramatic spots and stripes. She’s a sweet and gentle senior lady estimated to be about 12 years old, who wants nothing more than to snuggle and love you. She was found wandering the streets as a friendly, unfixed stray. She had a good check up with the vet and has no special diet needs. She is calm and graceful, has good manners, and always uses the litter box. She eats well and enjoys a little play time (catnip toys are a favorite of hers), but most often you will find Fleur following you around, or snoozing cuddled up next to you. As an older cat, she might be happiest as the only pet, although she should be fine with other cats who leave her alone and aren’t aggressive. Fleur just needs a calm, loving household where she can happily live out her remaining years. PLEASE NOTE that Fleur is partially deaf, and while she is not skittish in the least, it’s best to get her attention before handling her. FLEUR has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. She is currently at Petco at 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene (open daily 9 to 9). For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. . Sandy .

Sandy
SANDY is an affectionate little female brown tabby/tortoiseshell mix (sometimes called a “Torbie”), a little over 3 months old. She was born to a friendly mama cat, and has been raised in a busy foster home. She is not at all shy, and will approach anyone of any age without hesitation. She will make her interest in being petted or played with known to all, and will happily play with anything that moves (especially if there is a human on the other end!). Despite Sandy’s playful side, she is also one of the more mellow kittens from her litter; she can often be found on the couch, sitting on a lap and chilling with any one of her favorite humans. Sandy gets along great with children, other cats, and friendly dogs, and would do best in a household with at least one other playful young animal. Sandy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet Sandy at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401, then submit an adoption application either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or hard copy available at the cattery. Sugar
SUGAR is a beautiful, petite, and uniquely-marked black and white tuxedo female kitty with an adorable little black beard on her chin. She and her kittens were found abandoned on Jasper Road and put into a loving foster home – and Sugar is ready now for her own forever home. She is believed to be around 1 to 1½ years old. She gets along very well with other cats, and would probably enjoy being in a home with a kitten or other young cat she can lavish her maternal instincts on. She also most likely would be fine with friendly, nonaggressive dogs. Sugar is a great lap cat, and likes to sleep with you at night. She has been acclimated to a busy household, and seeks attention and stimulation (she can be a bit vocal at times). She is kind and gentle with children and does not scratch or bite. SUGAR has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Lottie
LOTTIE is a beautiful black and gray tabby female kitty who wants nothing more than a soft, plush bed to sleep in and a nice human to feed her treats. In return she will keep you company with her gentle presence and provide a nice soft fur coat that’s perfect for stroking. This sweet senior girl is estimated to be about 10 years old, and was being cared for by some nice folks at a local business until there was a change of management -- and the new boss said she had to go. Little Lottie, who gets along with just about everyone, is looking for a stable forever home with caring people who will appreciate the wisdom and calm of a cat with her years of life experience. We did a complete veterinary work up on her (she is healthy), including a dental -- and discovered that she finds going to the vet very stressful; thus her future family will need to understand that she might need to be sedated for veterinary care. As a senior kitty, Lottie does best on a high quality diet. She would be happiest as the only pet in a quiet household. She really loves to be petted, and will make a wonderful companion for someone who want a kitty who likes to simply hang out with her special human(s). LOTTIE has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. She is currently in foster care. Logan
Are you looking for an adorable and playful teenager who with a little investment of time will bond really strongly to you and be totally dedicated to you? How about considering Logan, a 5 month old orange tabby boy with a cute little stub of a tail. Logan is super playful and an absolute purr machine. He loves to be petted. He loves canned food and baby food and it is the way to his heart. He was found when he was about 4 months old with his brother, Lucas, fending for themselves after being born to an abandoned cat. Because some of the people in the neighborhood weren’t very nice to them and they weren’t raised in a home, both boys were very shy when caught. Both kittens are very sweet and even though scared never tried to bite or scratch. They have made excellent progress in their foster home and it’s time for them to move to their forever home. They would love to go to a home together but it’s not necessary. However they would benefit from having a mellow adult cat to learn from. They are in a foster home with a friendly golden retriever and would probably be fine with a slow introduction to a mellow, cat-friendly dog. They would do best in a quieter, slower-paced home. Logan will be shy with new people and situations. The important thing will be to create a feeling of safety for him by letting him settle in one room of your home with everything he needs: food, water, toys and a litter box. Interact with him during this time so he gets used to you being a part of his new life. He will need toys and lots of time with you, but most of all he will need your patience and love to blossom to his full potential. He will be so worth it. Logan has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $120, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Logan and Lucas have a sponsor and if they are adopted together, the fee for both is just $200. Logan is in foster. To meet him or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. 1711-C0628 12/12/17 12:29 AM

Miss Mushi
MISS Mushi is a beautiful and fluffy young female kitty about 18 months old, with soft, medium length black fur and a striking brown mane. She does an excellent job of keeping her fur in pristine condition. Miss Mushi was rescued from an unhealthy hoarding situation along with her 3 black siblings. She has a playful personality wrapped up in a very sweet package! She will delight you with her many enjoyable antics as you spend time entertaining her with toys. One of of her favorite activities is chasing her sister, Miss Murr, around the house - and she is definitely the ringleader. These beautiful kittens are kindred spirits and play well together. Wile Miss Mushi loves to play, she is also very loving and will snuggle up for some very welcome petting while you relax or watch TV. She tends to be shy around strangers but given time, she soon accepts new people into her life. Mis Mushi has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, de-fleaed and de-wormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Phoenix
PHOENIX is a handsome and fluffy young pale orange tabby male kitty about 2 1/2 years old. He is an active guy who loves to be cuddled and be the center of attention. He likes to climb up on your lap, but be forewarned that if he is not done with your loving, he will let you know by swatting playfully at you to get your attention back. Most times you will find him wandering around checking out every corner, looking for toys to play with; he is a bit mischievous, so keep your eye on him! Phoenix does well with kids of all ages. He is also used to having dogs and other cats around, but he is a dominant boy who likes to be the boss, so they need to be laid back and easy going animals or he can be disruptive. He and his brother Chandler were surrendered to us when their owners divorced, and they are ready for a stable forever home and family to love. Since they are a bonded pair, we are requiring that they be adopted together. Phoenix has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet him and his brother Chandler at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or hard copy available at the cattery. CHANDLER is a big, dark orange fluffy male tabby kitty who is about 2 1/2 years old. He is shy at first but with some time and gentle coaxing, you will be rewarded with affecttion, purrs and hugs. He is very easygoing and likes to be held and also to lie in your lap. He loves to explore and will find his way into every cubby if not watched! He really enjoys climbing up high on his cat tree where he can watch your comings and goings. He does fine with the dogs in his foster home (he is a very mellow guy). Chandler is curious about the outside world and has made attempts to go exploring, so initially he will need to be carefully monitored. He and his brother Phoenix were surrendered to us when their owners divorced, and they are ready for a stable forever home and family to love. Beedledee
Beedledee is a super sweet adult female cat who is approximately 6 years old. She is all black with sleek short hair, and she is polydactyl -- which means that she has thumbs! She belonged to a man who loved her very much, but who had to give her up because he became homeless. Beedledee is a very outgoing and affectionate girl, who is not fearful at all. She is playful and curious, and loves to explore and to hang out with her person or family – she wants to be involved with whatever you are doing. Beedledee would like to be an inside/outside cat, but can only be adopted into a home with a VERY safe outside space. She will tolerate other cats who don’t bother her, but she would be happiest as an only cat (we do not know how she is with dogs). Beedledee would do best in a home with adults only, or with cat-savvy older kids. This is a special girl who will make someone a devoted companion. Beedledee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. She is currently in foster care. Timarie
TIMARIE is a petite, pretty little female adult kitty about 4 years old. She looks almost all black, but has flashes of orange here and there. She motors around to find a good perch from which to watch the world go by. Timarie is big on head bumps and scritches, AND she has the best little purr in the world! She can be a rather passionate puss, and sometimes does not want you to put her down. Timarie was rescued as an abandoned stray, and has one ear that looks a bit tattered from her life on the streets. She does have a sensitivity to fleas, so she will need to be kept up-to-date on flea medication -- but just the monthly dose keeps her skin and hair beautiful. She has lived with other kitties and does well with non-confrontational cats. Cat-friendly dogs should be okay with a slow introduction (she has done fine with her foster Mom’s Chiweenie). This sweet girl is one special gal who will be a loyal friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. Timarie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Etta
Are you looking for the sweetest little companion? A kitty who could really use a friend? A cat who would be so happy to just come live with you, to have a warm house with a window to sit in, a warm lap and lots of pets? Then Etta is your girl. Etta is a middle-aged petite lady (she may be 10 maybe 11…a lady doesn’t tell her age) with the cutest raspy voice. Etta can be quite the talker and will tell you all about her day. She loves to be pet and just loves to be around her people. She likes to bat her toys around and really enjoys a couple of rounds chasing the feather toy. Etta would be OK with another mellow, friendly cat. She is non-reactive with her foster’s friendly dog but she has not directly interacted with her. Etta would do best with older kids who can be gentle with her. Etta was abandoned when her owner moved. A good Samaritan took her in when she realized Etta’s owner had moved. By then, Etta was extremely emaciated. Her rescuer fell in love with her but unfortunately her other cat didn’t so Etta came into our program. It turned out Etta had some very bad teeth and this may have contributed to how thin she is. Etta’s bloodwork and urinalysis are all normal. She has now had a full dental done and had a hernia on her abdomen removed. Etta says she feels like a new woman. If you are looking for a really friendly and sweet cat, consider meeting Etta. You could make a huge difference for a cat that really deserves a second chance with a stable, caring home. Whoever adopts her will be rewarded with all the love Etta has to give. Etta has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, has had a dental and with a free vet visit. Etta is in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $60 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Leena Aurelia
Beautiful LEENA AURELIA is as luxurious as her name. Her medium-length coat of white with black patches (sometimes called a “cow kitty”) ends in a fluffy, expressive tail. This sweet kitten was rescued in September with a severely injured left eye that had to be removed. She was so small and malnourished that it was difficult to estimate her age – we now believe she is about 5 to 6 months old. After a hearty diet in her foster home, loving care, and other feline friends to tumble around with, she has become a confident and playful (but sometimes shy) entertainer. Leena is inquisitive, adventurous and engaging. She has a wonderful purr motor and a delicate squeak/meow. With her coy black mask, it’s difficult to even know she has a disability. She would thrive in a home with another playful cat or two. IMPORTANT: Leena can be difficult to pick up and is not a fan of being held; however she will settle happily in your lap when it is HER idea. She needs a thoughtful and cat-savvy adopter to help her further blossom into a confident cat and loyal companion. Leena Aurelia has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. GRETEL is an affectionate 7-year-old female tabby cat who loves to sit on everyone’s lap. This big girl boasts big green eyes and beautifully patterned dark brown and gray fur. She has many wonderful qualities including being comfortable with visitors, assisting her loved ones at the computer, understanding house rules on claws, singing opera (she does like to use her voice!), and practicing napping skills on her foster parents' bed. Gretel was surrendered to a local vet for euthanasia because of digestive issues, and was instead brought to a loving CRAN foster home to be cared for. She has an excellent appetite and is on a special diet for sensitive stomachs, which is doing the trick – along with an inexpensive steroid to aid in digestion. She would probably do best as an only pet to help keep her comfortable and happy, and in a quieter home without very young kids. Gretel (and her adorable, friendly personality) is just waiting to meet you and love you forever! DREAMY is an adorable little 4-month-old female tabby kitten who is proud of her lovely fur. She has black stripes and spots (called “ticking”) against a gray background, a cream-colored chest, and long ears. Dreamy is the shyest kitten in her litter who startles at loud noises; she will need a patient owner and quieter household (she is afraid of the active toddlers in her foster home). She is still young and may well grow bolder as time goes on and as she develops confidence. She and her five siblings were found abandoned and motherless in a farm field, and placed into a loving foster home. She would do very well in a home with another kitten or playful cat. Dreamy is a quiet little dreamer who is dreaming of her furr-ever family! Like most active young cats, she will do best in a home with another young playful animal, and where she gets lots of time and attention with her people too. HALF PINT has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet her at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or hard copy available at the cattery. Her adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens), which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Happy
HAPPY is an adorable little 4-month-old female kitten who has sleek black fur, white on her belly, and a small white spot on her chest. With her long ears she looks a bit like an Egyptian cat of old! She was found abandoned and motherless in a field with her five siblings, and placed in a loving foster home. Happy does a good job of living up to her name. She is sweet and shy by nature, but the minute she feels she knows you, she will happily play with you and her toys for hours. She is also a very curious kitten, and gets into everything. Happy would do best in a household with another young cat to play with. Since her rescue, she has been raised in a household with two young children, and they have become her best friends! Happy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Happy is currently in foster care. MISS MURR is a gorgeous & sleek young solid black female kitty about 18 months old. She is a loving and giving girl who exhibits an abundance of patience –especially when playing with her more rambunctious sister, Miss Mushi. She loves to jump and leap for toys, and to chase balls and toy mice around the room. She learns the household rules very quickly, and displays a great desire to please her people. She speaks with a quiet and delightful little "Murr", hence her name. She was rescued from an unhealthy hoarding situation along with her 3 black siblings. If you are looking for a loving cat, this girl is perfect. Miss Murr may be shy at first, but given some time and love, she will soon open her heart to you and will curl up near you; she absolutely loves to be petted any time you are willing! CLAUDE is a handsome 18-month old male kitty whose muscular frame and shiny black coat might cause one to wonder if he has panther genes -- but the similarities end there. He's a well-behaved house cat who relishes the quiet company of his favorite person as much as he does frolicking with feline friends. He's always eager to offer an affectionate head butt or flop on his side for a belly rub. He counts gazing out the window at the world going by among his favorite past times. Claude likes and respects adult cats, even if they don't respond in kind. He was rescued from an unhealthy hoarding situation along with his sister, Shannon. He'd prefer to be adopted with her, but would do well in any home with an equally energetic cat. He would fare best in a calm environment without young children. Claude has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. She's adjusting to her new life slowly, as she's only been with one owner her entire life. Molly has NOT done well with other cats in her foster home, so she will need to be the only cat in her new home. Her previous owner had a dog that never got along with Molly, so we're not sure how she'd do with a cat-friendly dog. She's nervous about being picked up by strangers, but once she knows you, she LOVES having her head and chin scratched – and she will purr up a storm (and drool) when you are brushing her. Molly really wants to be friendly, but can be a little shy and unsure of her welcome at times. When she gets comfortable, she'll lay on the bed with you, snuggle, and give you great head butts. She loves chasing “da bird” toy. Molly is great at using her litter box, and has experience with both pellet and clay litter. This beautiful girl just needs the right person who has the patience to wait for her be comfortable enough to show her sweet, snuggly side. Roxi and Luni
ROXI and LUNI are a bonded pair of female adult kitties not quite 10 years old. Luni is a large, slightly overweight short-haired solid black kitty, and Roxi is a medium-sized siamese-mix kitty. They are not sisters by birth, but they have adopted one another and are an inseparable pair. Their owner (who had them since they were kittens) had to surrender them due to financial hardship, and it broke her heart to do so. Both Luni and Roxi are shy. When they first arrived in their foster home, they took comfort in squishing together in a cat carrier, but right away, you could see first one, then the other, peeking out at their new surroundings. With gentle coaxing and encouragement, they have both found comfy spots: Luni especially enjoys sitting atop her cat perch; Roxi likes to hide at the bottom of the cat perch, or sometimes just hide behind Luni. Because of her size, Luni isn't much of a jumper, but a low cat tree allows her to check out her world from her perch, and she loves soaking up the sun in a quiet spot. With Roxi, if you spend time petting, combing, and talking to her, she will come out, little by little and gaze at you with her crystal-blue slightly crossed eyes -- and you can even earn a few chirps and a purr from her. Both Luni and Roxi are so appreciative of human kindness. They have a stuffed rat that they take turns bashing around. They would be happiest in a quieter home, without loud comings and goings. They are frightened of dogs. Once you gain their confidence, they are both sweet and affectionate lap cats. ROXI and LUNI have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. CURIOUS GEORGE is a super outgoing young black/gray tabby male kitty with a white bib, chest, and paws. He is a goofy, funny, loving, CURIOUS cat. Due to his playful curiosity, however, an outdoor life is not safe for George (he has no fear of heights and should not have access to open upper windows without secure screens). He was found as a stray, and his rescuer neutered him with an ear tip -- but from his very affectionate personality, he was likely someone's pet. George loves all people! He does give love nips when he is excited, so he should not be in a home with toddlers. He would be OK as an only kitty since he loves all the attention he can get, but would also be OK with younger cats with alot of energy as well. He could potentially adjust to a respectful dog. He loves playing with flying feather toys, chasing the laser light, or lying on your lap for petting and snuggling up into your neck with his paws draped on your shoulders. He is an all-around good boy who loves to "chat you up" when you arrive home. Curious George is such a purrfectly fabulous feline!! SPECIAL NEEDS CAT NEEDS A SPECIAL HEART! Oliver is a very sweet 3 1/2 year old male brown tabby kitty with stunning eyes, dramatic markings, and a LOT of love to give. He is not shy and will nudge and lick any free hand in the room when he wants attention. He can spot a free lap from across the room, and will never turn down a chance to be petted. Oliver likes his cat bed well enough, but strongly prefers to share a human bed at night instead, and in the morning he will yell and tell you how much he missed your company while you were asleep. This boy loves his cardboard scratcher and any toy rubbed with catnip. But the quickest way to his heart is with canned food and chin scratches; treats are always appreciated too! He was taken from a feral colony in Springfield as part of a Trap-Neuter-Return project, but he captured the heart of the people aiding his recovery with his friendly, loving demeanor. Oliver has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus. FeLV is a disease that only affects cats -- it cannot be transmitted to humans or any other types of animals. It suppresses his immune system and makes him vulnerable to other infections. Currently he is in great condition, with no outward signs of the disease. However he does require daily supplements, regular vet check ups, and a loving human to keep watch over him and monitor his health. Both for his own well-being and for other cat’s health and safety, Oliver must be an indoor-only cat and either an only cat, or in a household with other FeLV+ cats. KADE is a big, beautiful cream-colored adult male kitty who looks to be some sort of a Siamese mix. He’s estimated to be about 10 years old, and was found as a stray living outside an apartment complex, fending for himself with the help of a good Samaritan who was feeding him. He had been neutered previously with an ear tip. He is now in a loving foster home, and he is still somewhat shy and a bit cautious when giving out his love. As he learns to trust humans again, he is becoming more outgoing – and if his new adopters are gentle and patient, they will be rewarded with a loving companion. Kade does not like other cats at all, and needs to be the only kitty. He is currently on a diet for urinary tract health (he is excellent with his litterbox use). This sweet boy needs a quiet, stable forever home with no young kids and an experienced cat person. Kade has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. MARY is an extremely friendly affectionate female black and white tuxedo kitty about 8 years old. She was adopted as a kitten, and then recently relinquished because of difficult family circumstances. She was adored by her original owner, and as a result she is such a lover! Her favorite thing is to cuddle at night with her human(s). Mary was shy for the first day after she arrived at her new foster home, but since then, her favorite activity is having her foster mom pet her, comb her, and cuddle with her. She does like some play time, and she is especially fond of dangly toys -- feather on a stick, mouse or bird on a stick, shoelaces. She does have some skin sensitivities, but she is currently on a limited ingredient diet that she loves (Instinct Rabbit kibble and canned), and she is thriving. We don’t yet know how Mary is with other kitties, but she should do well with respectful kids. Transferred from 2016 portion of chartBUDDY is a big, fluffy, pale orange male kitty about 5 years old. He’s an affectionate but sometimes shy guy who is looking for a cat-savvy owner. Buddy came to us from a woman who had dementia and lived in an assisted living facility. He's scared of loud noises, and gets nervous in new situations. When he's comfortable, however, he's such a sweet purring machine. He likes being groomed, and even puts up with having his belly brushed! He's a great jumper, and will leap up to catch da bird. Buddy always uses his litter box, and loves his scratching post -- he may need some redirection from new furniture, although he is good at learning what is OK to scratch and what isn’t. He would probably do well with a friendly cat, or a very confident kitten. He might also be OK with a dog for a playmate, but we haven’t dog tested him yet. So far, Buddy's not much of a lap cat, but if you sit next to him, he'll happily lie close to you, and sometimes snuggle. He will need someone who knows how to read cat body language, as he can nip when he is fearful (so no young children). This is a cat who will make a loving and devoted companion with a patient and understanding adopter. Buddy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. VIOLET is a sweet and petite little female black and white tuxedo 6-month-old kitten who started out the first couple of months of her life in a field with no human contact. Because of this, she was quite wary of humans when she first came to her foster home. Violet has really opened up with lots of socializing and handling -- and she is now a relaxed, gentle little girl who loves to be petted. Her favorite activity is romping around with her foster kitty friends, so she would do best in a home where there's another cat or kitten that she can play with. Since she's naturally laid back, she would probably do well with kids who know how to be gentle and with friendly dogs--as long as her new family is patient and allows her time to settle in! Sponsored Adoption?ZOE is a cute and petite little adult black and white tuxedo female kitty about 11 years old. She was brought into a local vet in 2016 and surrendered as a very frightened and upset kitty – most likely she had been abused in her past. It has taken Zoe about a year to calm down and become more outgoing and affectionate, and she has bonded strongly to her foster mom; she even tolerates strangers now for short sessions of petting. Thus it is likely she will similarly bond to a cat-savvy adopter given plenty of time and TLC. She is absolutely terrified of kids, but does well with her foster mom’s dogs. We do not know how she would do with another kitty. Zoe needs a kind-hearted good Samaritan willing to give this older adult with a difficult past a chance at a new life. HARRY is a sweet-natured and gentle mature orange tabby male kitty who is about 9 years old. He would make a wonderful companion for older folks in a quiet, stable home. He loves to be petted and he's very affectionate with his people. Please note that he does not like to be petted around his hindquarters, so a household without young children would be best. Harry came from a family who became homeless and sadly had to relinquish their 4 cats who had lived with them since they were kittens. Harry gets along fine with other mellow cats, and he lived peacefully with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Won’t you give this loving older kitty the stable forever home he so deserves? Harry has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Yancy
YANCY is a gorgeous young male adult kitty with fluffy black fur that has a dramatic gray undercoat, especially the ruff around his neck. He is a precious young boy about 3 years old, who still has a lot of kitten in him. He enjoys other cats and has spent his life with them, but he becomes stressed if a dominant cat is aggressive with him. He is scared and shy in new situations, and will need a patient and understanding owner; once he has acclimated, however, then he is very easygoing. Yancy really enjoys playing with all the cat toys in his foster home -- he likes to flip them in the air and then hunt for them. It's not uncommon for Yancy to run through the house and skid on the area rugs. He really loves to be petted on his head and neck area, although he is still getting used to being picked up and held. He loves canned food with his meals, and he adores catnip. He has great hygiene and doesn't shed much. He appears to be afraid of dogs. Yancy was surrendered by his owner who lost her home and could no longer care for him. Won’t you give this handsome and wonderful young guy the stable forever home he so deserves? Yancy’s adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care. Alani
ALANI is a beautiful little female peach and white tabby tuxedo teenager kitten about 6 months old. She loves her adopted brother Masha, and has great fun playing, wrestling, and cuddling with him. She is a great climber and loves to watch the action from the safety of high places, but it’s not hard to lure her into playing string games and feather toy games with humans. This sweet girl is still a little fearful of strange people and situations; she will need a patient and loving adopter willing to invest the time energy needed to win her trust. Alani is wary when human hands grab for her, but with a slow, gentle approach, she will melt into your arms, purr for you, and soak up all the pets you are willing to give her. She was born in a bad neighborhood, where cats were at risk. She was finally rescued and has made tremendous progress with her foster family. If you are patient and cat-savvy, willing to invest the time and energy, and have a quiet home, this deserving little girl has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Alani has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet Alani at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart South at 2858 Willamette Street, Eugene OR 97405. Habibi
Meet BIBI (also known as "Habibi"), a big and beautiful black, gold, and white cat with fluffy fur as soft as a bunny's. This three-year-old “tortico” has the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico, and she epitomizes the personality of both. In fact, she won't mind you calling her "Queen Habibi." She allows her human to pet her very soft fur in moderation, and only on her terms. She is impeccable in her litterbox manners. Bibi was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal allergies or asthma. Her condition is helped by using one of the “natural” litters (pellets, corn, walnut shells etc). To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tab prednisolone every other day, which she readily accepts via a pill popper. Other than admiring looks and loyal servitude from her humans, nothing means more to Habibi than food. She is a naturally large feline, so she needs her human to keep an eye on her food intake in order for her weight to remain in the healthy range. Bibi will chase and be chased by her playful cat companions in her foster home, but her reserved personality indicates she would also do well as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. This wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and gorgeousness. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? Bibi has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Zuri
ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Atlas
ATLAS is an extra large, handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about a year old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be precipitated by stress (including going to the vet). He has been in his current foster home for six months, and there have been absolutely no signs of seizures, so it is quite possible that he has outgrown this problem. Atlas is a bit shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. After he knows you and trust is established, he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty." Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no toddlers) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. SATIN is a beautiful and petite little solid black, long-haired girl kitty with a curious nature, about 8 to 10 years old. She loves to explore and poke around into all the nooks and crannies of her surroundings. Leave a drawer or cabinet open, and she’ll immediately inspect it. Satin lived all her life with an elderly couple until they could no longer care for her when they moved into a long-term care facility. She is now looking for a new home where there are loving humans to pet her, interesting cubbies to explore, and windows full of light. She is generally reserved, but soon shows her affectionate and curious nature when she feels safe and comfortable. She likes a good scratching post but would rather cuddle next to you on the sofa while you read a book and stroke her head, than play with toys or run around. She could possibly coexist with one other quiet kitty, but would likely be happiest as an only cat. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. Satin has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tippy
TIPPY is a gorgeous and fluffy one-year-old brown tabby female kitty who looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her. Like many cats, she wants to be in charge of her world, and prefers to decide for herself who her friends are and when she will accept being caressed. But once she's decided you are trustworthy and well-intentioned, she will purr, trill, and eagerly lean into your hand for pets. Tippy was living in a rough neighborhood, and was taken in by a kind-hearted resident who eventually surrendered her to a local vet when she became homeless. Because Tippy had to survive by her sharp wits and quick paws, she still has some issues with scratching and nipping. Since coming to our rescue group May 5 she has been bounced around to a number of different foster homes due to her unpredictable behavior. It will take a patient owner who is willing to be gentle and slow in gaining her trust and allowing her plenty of time to settle in and finally acclimate to her new surroundings. Once that happens, Tippy will make a sweet and devoted lifetime companion. She needs to be the ONLY cat, and should not be in a home with young children. Tippy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. ORPHAN ANNIE is a sweet but independent girl who is discriminating about whom she chooses as her friends. If she chooses you, you will be rewarded with LOTS of head bumps and affection! Annie’s owner adopted a younger cat and Annie didn’t get along with her. She was brought to a vet to be euthanized because she growled and hissed at the new cat and our rescue group placed her into a foster home where she has blossomed into such a happy and friendly kitty. HOBI is a wonderfully sweet and friendly silver tabby male kitty who is estimated to be about 12 years old. He's a charming guy who is curious and outgoing, and who doesn’t act at all like a senior kitty. Don't be surprised if you see him hop up onto a cat tree or other high place, like a cat with much less life experience! He's spry and talkative and still likes to chase a string around the floor. Hobi was adopted as a kitten and lived his whole life with just one family -- until both his people suffered failing health and could no longer care for this boy. He's looking for a warm and loving forever home where his people will listen to his stories and cuddle up with him on the sofa. Hobi is great with gentle kids, and he is so laid back that he should be fine with other mellow cats. He has been neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you've earned her trust she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. Tammy is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 12/12/17 12:29 AM

TOOEY is a large and handsome fluffy black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about 21 months old. He is active and playful, and very affectionate -- he's not a scaredy cat at all. He is good with being held and sitting in laps, and is very bonded to humans. Tooey was adopted from our rescue group as a kitten but when his owner moved in with a relative who was very allergic to cats, he and his sister "Wunnie," were returned. His sister has since been adopted but Tooey is still on the search. He needs a home where he can feel safe and adored and where his new owner understands that young kitties can have "wild and crazy guy" time too! Tooey will occasionally scratch when overstimulated and needs a patient and cat-savvy adopter (no young kids). ARIANA is a beautiful young female kitty with sleek black fur and a cute white spot on her chest. This 3-year-old sweetheart is seeking affection and love. She is a cat who hates to be confined, and she is quite vocal (we call her "squeakers" because she talks so much). She is a little nervous about strange sounds or unfamiliar surroundings, and will sometimes hiss or growl -- but she is never aggressive (although she should not be in a home with young kids). She loves to play with string and balls, and she really enjoys sitting and looking out windows. Ariana was adopted from WCDC as a kitten, but was returned to us when her owner became financially unstable and was unable to care for her (or give her the attention that she so strongly desires). It took Ariana awhile to learn to trust her new family, but now she is very affectionate with her foster mom's teenagers, and sleeps with them every night. She will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter who will give her time to adjust -- but this young girl really wants to be a part of a family in a stable forever home! MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with a little patience and TLC, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting and especially chin scratches. She’ll be happiest in a quiet home with lots of low spots for her to hang out and nap in. Cuddles has been thoroughly checked out by a vet and, other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lay on your chest, legs or back, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play when she’s not asking for ear rubs. She prefers you don’t touch her feet too much, but once she trusts you, she is good with being brushed. Cuddles is currently in foster care and would love to meet you for a proper introduction. Cuddles' adoption fee is $60, to help other abandoned and neglected kitties. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Boots
BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat who is about 10 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws, thus he must be an indoor-only cat (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy who is very quiet and has a soft purr. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. He can be quite playful at times and wants you to be involved too. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Boots' adoption fee is $60. He is currently in foster care. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID# 1609-C0518. 12/12/17 12:29 AM

Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Her adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to other neglected and abandoned kitties. To meet her or for more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to www.CatRescues.org.
