Jani
JANI is a handsome young black and gray tabby male kitty with dramatic markings and extra-large feet, estimated to be about 2 to 3 years old. He was named Jani because he was rescued in January up the McKenzie River, where he was found starving and with 2 BB’s in his neck. He has turned out to be such a sweet lover boy who just adores attention! When we found him, his right eye was cloudy -- but it is an old injury that is stable, and he does have some vision in that eye. Because of his difficult past, he eats his food very enthusiastically! Jani is a kitty who wants nothing more in this world than to be loved on, and his purr motor starts running as soon as you pet him. PLEASE NOTE that sometimes he becomes so excited when being petted that he will put his mouth onto your arm (but he never bites down or is aggressive), so he should not be in a home with young kids. He has been nonreactive to the other cats in his foster environment, so he might be OK with another mellow kitty (unknown about dogs). He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Meet JANI inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401 this weekend (2/17 and 2/18). Submit an adoption application for consideration (www.CatRescues.org/forms or paper copy at the store). His adoption fee is $75, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID#1801-C0014. 2/18/18 7:16 AM

Cluck
CLUCK is a gorgeous little gray 3-month-old male kitten with subtle gray stripes. He is a quirky cat and needs to go to a home that understands he's a little different than your average kitten. He has an over-exaggerated startle reflex which causes him to panic sometimes and run straight into the wall. Otherwise he is a typical kitten in most ways, playing and exploring with his siblings, then settling in for a good nap. At times he can be pretty demanding when he wants to be petted, and will nip to get your attention. He doesn't like to be alone and will cry if he can't find a human or his siblings. He would do best in a home with another young kitty to keep him company. Cluck and his siblings were born in a foster home to a momma cat who was found on River Road as a pregnant stray. He's been around kids, a grumpy old cat and a big dog. He was cautious with the dog, so he would need a slow introduction if there is a dog in his new home. CLUCK has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet Cluck at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Then submit an adoption application either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or hard copy available at the cattery. Squeakers
SQUEAKERS is a friendly and energetic little 7-month-old male kitten with sleek black panther fur. Squeakers and his sister Blue were born to a friendly stray momma cat in a woman’s backyard, and were brought inside to a loving CRAN foster home when they were a month old. They were handled and cuddled alot by the young kids in their foster home -- thus they are very sociable and sweet. Squeakers and Blue were adopted together as kittens, but were returned because their new owner was not prepared for the high activity level of young kittens. These two love to romp and play and would enjoy staying together, but Squeakers is also a bit more independent and reserved than Blue, and might be OK on his own as long as he got lots of love and attention and wasn’t left alone for long periods of time. Squeakers has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet Squeakers at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Johnny
JOHNNY is a sweet little Siamese mix male teenager kitten about 9 months old. If you seek a lover and a snuggler with a non-stop purr, then this little peanut of a kitten is for you! He is not super high-energy, and truly prefers cuddling or being brushed to playing. But he does enjoy feather toys, chasing laser lights and watching birds on the computer. Johnny came from a feral colony and will be shy at first in his new home, perhaps hiding for a while. But once he feels safe, he will run to greet you and to be picked up for hugs and love. He is sensitive about being touched on his belly and will give a soft warning nip if you cross his boundaries. Thus he is not suitable for a household with young children, and will do best in a quiet, stable home with one person or a couple. Johnny would prefer to be the only cat: he gets along OK with other cats, but he gets clingy and possessive with his person if they are paying attention to another kitty. JOHNNY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet JOHNNY at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Ebba
EBBA is a sweet and petite little 3-month-old charcoal gray tabby female kitten who has lots of kitten energy! Her brothers will sleep for hours while she plays. She will need to be in a home with another playful young kitty to siphon off her energy and keep her out of trouble. She will cry when she's lonely and come running when you call for her. She'll curl up on your lap and settle in for a nap. She will follow you around the house, and likes to explore the bathroom and drink from the sink if you let her. Ebba and her siblings were born in a foster home to a momma cat who was found on River Road as a pregnant stray. She’s been around kids, a grumpy old cat and a big dog. Toby and his siblings were born in a foster home to a momma cat who was found on River Road as a pregnant stray. He's been around kids, a grumpy old cat and a big dog. Delaney & Hadley
DELANEY is a black and gray tabby female teenager kitten just over 6 months old, with beautiful stripes and spots. She and her sister Hadley were rescued at 2 days old along with their mom cat, and raised in a loving foster home. Delaney is a vocal girl who meows for attention, for cat treats, and to continue being petted. She loves to rub on you, give head bumps, and nose kisses – she is so affectionate. Delaney cuddles up with her sister or with one of the humans in her foster home, and is so sociable with the other cats living there. She is active and playful, speeding around the house, performing tricks and carrying cat toys in her mouth. Because Delaney and Hadley are so bonded, we are requiring that they be adopted together, and are offering them at a special sponsored price of $150 for the pair. Delaney has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. HADLEY is an adorable black and brown tabby female teenager kitten just over 6 months old, with white fur in a tuxedo pattern. She and her sister Delaney were rescued at 2 days old, along with their mom cat, and raised in a loving foster home. Hadley enjoys being petted and cuddled, and responds to being talked to by vocalizing in return, kneading and purring! She is not assertive, and can be a bit shy and startle easily. She comes running when called, and likes to be held like a baby and carried around (the young child in her foster home pushes Hadley around in a doll stroller). She likes to cuddle with Delaney for comfort, and will nurse on her tummy. She loves to play and to carry cat toys around the the house in her mouth. Because Hadley and Delaney are so bonded, we are requiring that they be adopted together, and are offering them at a special sponsored price of $150 for the pair. TRENT is a 5-month-old male kitten who is proud of his sleek, plush solid black coat. For an accent, he sports a streak of white fur on his lower belly. He loves to climb up on your shoulders and sit in your lap, and is quite skilled at cuddling, licking you, and occasionally chewing on your buttons. When he puts his face up to yours and purrs loudly, you are bound to fall in love! This adorable litter of 4 brothers (Dexter, Trent, Lowell, and Winberry) were rescued by a kitty lover in Lowell, who took in their expectant momma cat – and she had all the brothers neutered with an ear tip. They were all named after little towns near their birthplace. Trent is very active and playful (he adores the laser light), and would do best in a household with another young cat to play with, and a family that is home alot to give him plenty of attention. TRENT has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Lucy Jose
LUCY JOSE is a cute and sweet 7-year old brown tabby female kitty who needs a calm and loving home. She has spent the past 7 years living with her brother who is now seeking her out and beating her up. Lucy needs a new home where she can be the only cat, so that she can relax and not live in fear. She will be shy at first, and she often hides when new people come to the house – but she warms up once she feels comfortable. Lucy is very curious and loves to run and play and chase toys. She is very interested in helping her human out and is very helpful with laundry, making the bed, or any task involving a bag or box – she loves to hang out with you and wants to be involved in everything. Like many adult cats, Lucy doesn't particularly like to be held, but she is very affectionate: she loves pets, sitting on your lap, snuggling on the couch with you, or sleeping in your bed. Lucy is has great litterbox manners, and she has a box that can come with her. She is not a picky eater and loves both canned food and kibbles. Fish-based foods seem to upset her stomach -- so chicken, turkey, duck, or venison based food is best for her. She tends to overgroom her tummy area and is sometimes missing fur there; this is likely related to stress, and should get better with a calmer environment. She would not do well with active young children, and is afraid of dogs. Lucy has spent very limited time outside, and while it interests her very much, she would be safest as an indoor-only kitty. Are you willing to give this affectionate girl the second chance that she so deserves? Lucy Jose has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, and comes with a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Lucy is currently in foster care. Gussy Gray
GUSSY GRAY is a very handsome six-month-old gray tabby male teenager kitten with soft fur and a cute 3/4 length tail that has a crook at the end. He is a little timid in new situations, but once he is comfortable, he is very sweet. He purrs very loudly and loves to be petted. Although he enjoys playing, he isn't a wild kitten at all. He plays with his toys, and is very well behaved and quiet. He has met a dog and another cat in his foster home, and is very interested in interacting with them. Gussy Gray and his sibling were found as strays, and after having had a rough start for their first few months, it took them awhile to adjust to people. Gussy will need some patience, time and consistent love and attention to acclimate – at first he may hide and seem fearful -- but once he decides you're okay, he is very affectionate and loving. Gussy Gray has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Etta
If you are looking for the sweetest little companion, then Etta is your girl. She’s a petite, middle-aged tortoiseshell kitty with a cute raspy voice -- she can be quite the talker and will tell you all about her day. She loves a warm lap, pets, and to be around her people. She likes to bat her toys around and is still playful. Etta would do best in a quiet home with adults or older kids who can be gentle with her. She would also prefer a home where she is the only cat. Etta went on a trial adoption and it didn't work out because she was so scared of the resident cat she didn't want to leave the bathroom. She was abandoned and left to starve when her owner moved away, and a good Samaritan took her in. Etta is in good health, and has had a complete dental. This sweet and friendly girl deserves a second chance with a caring, stable home, and she will reward you with all the love she has to give. Etta has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $60 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Janine
Janine is an adorable and petite tortie female kitty, estimated to be about 2 years old. She was found abandoned in an RV in Junction City, and had been previously spayed (as you can see from her tipped ear). Janine is briefly unsure of herself in new situations, and would like a quiet place to hide at first, so she can check out her new surroundings. However, once she feels comfortable, she will dazzle you with her acrobatic skills. She can climb, she can jump, and she is very, very good at leaping onto your shoulder, and balancing there, ready or not! She is so active and playful, but be forewarned that she can also be an escape artist! She will chat back and forth with you, with her little meows and chirpy noises. At the end of her playtime, she will either find your lap, or snuggle up next to you for some quiet time. We are unsure how she will do with other cats, but she most likely would adjust with a slow introduction. This lively and friendly girl needs a stable forever home! Janine has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Submit an adoption application for consideration either online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or hard copy available at either Eugene PetSmart location. Levi
LEVI is a sweet and playful 7-month-old male teenager. His sleek black fur gives him an air of mystery but there’s nothing mysterious about his open and loving personality. Levi was abandoned in a box along with several other kittens and was fearful and shy in the beginning as a result of that experience. With loving care and kindness his true nature blossomed -- and it wasn’t long before we saw how much he appreciates being petted and talked to, how much he loves playing with catnip-filled toys and the cat dancer, and how wonderful he’ll be as part of a loving family. Levi absolutely ADORES other cats, and he must be adopted into a household with at least one other playful young kitty. He is very loving and nurturing in his interaction with other cats. Levi deserves a wonderful home and family. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Meet LEVI inside our partner store PetSmart North at 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Dally
DALLY is a fun, playful and inquisitive female teenager kitten about 8 months old. Her beautiful sleek black coat has some white highlights and adorable ear tufts. Dally loves to hang out with her humans and enjoys her cuddle time. She is a great mouse-hunter -- well, catnip mice, at least! She really enjoys climbing and exploring, and knocking around her stuffed rat toy. Dally would love a gentle human of her own to bond with. She does well with adult cats, but is stressed out by active young kittens. Dally hasn’t had much experience with dogs, so if there’s a dog in her new home, it would need to be mellow and cat-friendly, with a very slow introduction. Dally has a congenital heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, diagnosed by an ultrasound. Her heart function now is normal and she does not have heart disease. However, she is considered a special-needs kitten and her adoption fee has been reduced accordingly to $60. DALLY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Meet DALLY at our partner Wags! Black Beauty
Black beauty is one of the sweetest cats we have ever met. Just a little over a year, she is shy at first but once you earn her trust she will show you what an amazing kitty she is. She does wonderful with children. She has been exposed to young kids as well as older. She absolutely adores her foster’s three year old daughter. She loves her scratching post so that will need to be on your shopping list. She’s very well-behaved and hasn’t scratched any of the furniture on any furniture or the like. She does well with the other cats in her foster home once she gets to know them and does well with her foster’s puppy. If he gets a little to crazy for her, she prefers to just observe. Black Beauty was dumped on a farm in Junction City and luckily the farm owner helped her and called us. Black Beauty has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Black Beauty is currently in foster. Her adoption fee is $100 (which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community). Suki
SUKI is a fearless, spunky young tortoiseshell female kitty just over 1 year old. She was found as a stray, and has been enjoying her foster home, learning how to be a house cat. Suki has perfect litter box manners and will eat both wet food and kibble (but she definitely prefers kibble!) She’s an active kitty who enjoys chasing the feather stick and batting her stuffed mice and balls. She will let you know when she will accept petting (she has “tortitude”). Once she trusts you, she will cuddle down in your lap for a quick snuggle. Suki loves a tall perch from which to survey her domain. She also likes to curl up in the bathroom sink. Suki was found with other cats, and she might get along with other friendly kitties after a slow introduction – but she is terrified of dogs. She needs a quiet home with a patient adopter who understands the tortie personality. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. You can meet Suki at the cattery inside our partner store PetSmart South at 2858 Willamette Street, Eugene OR 97405. Capri
CAPRI is an adorable, short-haired tortie female kitty about 13 years old. She has a sweet and mellow nature but she is very scared when first put into a new situation. (Her way of hiding is to be up on top of things.) Once she has adjusted, she is good with being held and is very outgoing and cuddly! Capri was one of a large group of cats rescued from an overcrowded cat hoarder. She appears to coexist well with other cats and dogs and would need an indoor/outdoor environment as she prefers to do her bathroom business outside thank you very much~. This affectionate girl would thrive in a quiet home where she can feel safe--she will be a loving, devoted companion! Capri has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture." Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to us because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Nora's adoption fee is $75. NOTE: Meet Fleur this Sat., Jan 27, from 11am-3:30pm at PetSmart, 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene. FLEUR is a pretty and petite little short-haired brown tabby girl kitty with dramatic spots and stripes. She’s a sweet and gentle senior lady estimated to be about 12 years old, who wants nothing more than to snuggle and love you. She was found wandering the streets as a friendly, unfixed stray. She had a good check up with the vet and has no special diet needs. She is calm and graceful, has good manners, and always uses the litter box. She eats well and enjoys a little play time (catnip toys are a favorite of hers), but most often you will find Fleur following you around, or snoozing cuddled up next to you. As an older cat, she might be happiest as the only pet, although she should be fine with other cats who leave her alone and aren’t aggressive. Fleur needs a calm, attentive and loving household where she can happily live out her remaining years. When left alone for long periods she'll yowl for more love so it's best that her new family is around to keep her company. PLEASE NOTE Fleur is partially deaf and while she is not skittish in the least, it’s best to get her attention before handling her. Fleur has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $60, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Beedledee is a super sweet adult female cat who is approximately 6 years old. She is all black with sleek short hair, and she is polydactyl -- which means that she has thumbs! She belonged to a man who loved her very much, but who had to give her up because he became homeless. Beedledee is a very outgoing and affectionate girl, who is not fearful at all. She is playful and curious, and loves to explore and to hang out with her person or family – she wants to be involved with whatever you are doing. Beedledee would like to be an inside/outside cat, but can only be adopted into a home with a VERY safe outside space. She will tolerate other cats who don’t bother her, but she would be happiest as an only cat (we do not know how she is with dogs). Beedledee would do best in a home with adults only, or with cat-savvy older kids. This is a special girl who will make someone a devoted companion. TIMARIE is a petite, pretty little female adult kitty about 4 years old. She looks almost all black, but has flashes of orange here and there. She motors around to find a good perch from which to watch the world go by. Timarie is big on head bumps and scritches, AND she has the best little purr in the world! She can be a rather passionate puss, and sometimes does not want you to put her down. Timarie was rescued as an abandoned stray, and has one ear that looks a bit tattered from her life on the streets. She does have a sensitivity to fleas, so she will need to be kept up-to-date on flea medication -- but just the monthly dose keeps her skin and hair beautiful. She has lived with other kitties and does well with non-confrontational cats. Cat-friendly dogs should be okay with a slow introduction (she has done fine with her foster Mom’s Chiweenie). This sweet girl is one special gal who will be a loyal friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. Timarie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. GRETEL is an affectionate 7-year-old female tabby cat who loves to sit on everyone’s lap. This big girl boasts big green eyes and beautifully patterned dark brown and gray fur. She has many wonderful qualities including being comfortable with visitors, assisting her loved ones at the computer, understanding house rules on claws, singing opera (she does like to use her voice!), and practicing napping skills on her foster parents' bed. Gretel was surrendered to a local vet for euthanasia because of digestive issues, and was instead brought to a loving CRAN foster home to be cared for. She has an excellent appetite and is on a special diet for sensitive stomachs, which is doing the trick – along with an inexpensive steroid to aid in digestion. She would probably do best as an only pet to help keep her comfortable and happy, and in a quieter home without very young kids. Gretel (and her adorable, friendly personality) is just waiting to meet you and love you forever! She speaks with a quiet and delightful little "Murr", hence her name. She was rescued from an unhealthy hoarding situation along with her 3 black siblings. CLAUDE is a handsome 18-month old male kitty whose muscular frame and shiny black coat are reminiscent of a young panther. He's a well-behaved house cat who relishes the quiet company of his favorite person as much as he does frolicking with feline friends. He's always eager to offer an affectionate head butt or flop on his side for a belly rub. He counts gazing out the window at the world going by among his favorite past times. Claude was rescued from an unhealthy hoarding situation, and has been living in a loving foster home. He would fare best in a calm environment without young children, but he would really enjoy a home with an equally energetic young cat. KADE is a big, beautiful cream-colored adult male kitty who looks to be some sort of a Siamese mix. He’s estimated to be about 10 years old, and was found as a stray living outside an apartment complex, fending for himself with the help of a good Samaritan who was feeding him. He had been neutered previously with an ear tip. He is now in a loving foster home, and he is still somewhat shy and a bit cautious when giving out his love. As he learns to trust humans again, he is becoming more outgoing – and if his new adopters are gentle and patient, they will be rewarded with a loving companion. Kade does not like other cats at all, and needs to be the only kitty. He is currently on a diet for urinary tract health (he is excellent with his litterbox use). This sweet boy needs a quiet, stable forever home with no young kids and an experienced cat person. Sponsored Adoption?ZOE is a cute and petite little adult black and white tuxedo female kitty about 11 years old. She was brought into a local vet in 2016 and surrendered as a very frightened and upset kitty – most likely she had been abused in her past. It has taken Zoe about a year to calm down and become more outgoing and affectionate, and she has bonded strongly to her foster mom; she even tolerates strangers now for short sessions of petting. Thus it is likely she will similarly bond to a cat-savvy adopter given plenty of time and TLC. She is absolutely terrified of kids, but does well with her foster mom’s dogs. We do not know how she would do with another kitty. Zoe needs a kind-hearted good Samaritan willing to give this older adult with a difficult past a chance at a new life. Zoe has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Buddy
Transferred from 2016 portion of chartBUDDY is a big, fluffy, pale orange male kitty about 5 years old. He’s an affectionate but sometimes shy guy who is looking for a cat-savvy owner. Buddy came to us from a woman who had dementia and lived in an assisted living facility. He's scared of loud noises, and gets nervous in new situations. When he's comfortable, however, he's such a sweet purring machine. He likes being groomed, and even puts up with having his belly brushed! He's a great jumper, and will leap up to catch da bird. Buddy always uses his litter box, and loves his scratching post -- he may need some redirection from new furniture, although he is good at learning what is OK to scratch and what isn’t. He would probably do well with a friendly cat, or a very confident kitten. He might also be OK with a dog for a playmate, but we haven’t dog tested him yet. So far, Buddy's not much of a lap cat, but if you sit next to him, he'll happily lie close to you, and sometimes snuggle. He will need someone who knows how to read cat body language, as he can nip when he is fearful (so no young children). This is a cat who will make a loving and devoted companion with a patient and understanding adopter. Buddy has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. HARRY is a sweet-natured and gentle mature orange tabby male kitty who is about 9 years old. He would make a wonderful companion for older folks in a quiet, stable home. He loves to be petted and he's very affectionate with his people. Please note that he does not like to be petted around his hindquarters, so a household without young children would be best. Harry came from a family who became homeless and sadly had to relinquish their 4 cats who had lived with them since they were kittens. Harry gets along fine with other mellow cats, and he lived peacefully with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but he is a healthy boy, and with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely lead a normal life. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Won’t you give this loving older kitty the stable forever home he so deserves? Harry has been tested for feline leukemia (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Meet BIBI (also known as "Habibi"), a big and beautiful black, gold, and white cat with fluffy fur as soft as a bunny's. This three-year-old “tortico” has the coloring of both a tortoiseshell and a calico, and she epitomizes the personality of both. In fact, she won't mind you calling her "Queen Habibi." She allows her human to pet her very soft fur in moderation, and only on her terms. She is impeccable in her litterbox manners. Bibi was relinquished to a local shelter because she sometimes coughs and wheezes due to seasonal allergies or asthma. Her condition is helped by using one of the “natural” litters (pellets, corn, walnut shells etc). To keep her airways open, Bibi currently receives 1/2 tab prednisolone every other day, which she readily accepts via a pill popper. Other than admiring looks and loyal servitude from her humans, nothing means more to Habibi than food. She is a naturally large feline, so she needs her human to keep an eye on her food intake in order for her weight to remain in the healthy range. Bibi will chase and be chased by her playful cat companions in her foster home, but her reserved personality indicates she would also do well as an only cat. She would be happiest in a calm household with patient, gentle adults, and possibly older kids. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. This wonderful girl will bestow you with ankle rubs and gorgeousness. Are you ready to welcome royalty into your home? She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Atlas
ATLAS is an extra large, handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about a year old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be precipitated by stress (including going to the vet). He has been in his current foster home for six months, and there have been absolutely no signs of seizures, so it is quite possible that he has outgrown this problem. Atlas is a bit shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. After he knows you and trust is established, he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty." Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no toddlers) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org 2/18/18 7:16 AM

DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. DeeCee is currently in foster care; for information on how to meet this kitty, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID#1510-C0535R. Then submit an adoption application that can be found online (www.CatRescues.org/forms) or a hard copy available at the Petsmart catteries. 2/18/18 7:16 AM

TOOEY is a large, handsome, fluffy, black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about two years old. He is active, playful and very affectionate. Tooey is on the search for the purrfect home where he can feel safe and adored and where his new owner will understand that young kitties can be really fun, even a bit "wild and crazy" at times. Tooey would like to find a patient, cat-savvy adopter who will know how to read the signs when he has been overstimulated. He may be able to adjust to a mellow, non-dominant kitty or to a cat-friendly dog, but he is not a fan of active young kittens or kids. Do you have the stable, forever home this sweet young guy so deserves? His adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Tammy
TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you've earned her trust she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. Tammy is a diamond in the rough and with a little TLC, she will be the perfect companion for the right somebody. TAMMY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Tammy's adoption fee is just $75 which allows us to pay it forward to help other kitties. Foster Parents Needed
[PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. If you live in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area and have love to spare for these kitties, please call 541-225-4955. 2/18/18 7:16 AM

Tana'i
TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. Ariana
ARIANA is a beautiful young female kitty with sleek black fur and a cute white spot on her chest. This 3-4 year-old sweetheart is seeking affection and love. She is a cat who hates to be confined, and she is quite vocal (we call her "squeakers" because she talks so much). She is a little nervous about strange sounds or unfamiliar surroundings, and will sometimes hiss or growl -- but she is never aggressive (although she should not be in a home with young kids). She loves to play with string and balls, and she really enjoys sitting and looking out windows. Ariana was adopted from CRAN as a kitten, but was returned to us when her owner became financially unstable and was unable to care for her (or give her the attention that she so strongly desires). It took Ariana awhile to learn to trust her new family, but now she is very affectionate with her foster mom's teenagers, and sleeps with them every night. She will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter who will give her time to adjust -- but this young girl really wants to be a part of a family in a stable forever home! NOTE: ARIANA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, (NEG-NEG)spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Miss Squeaky P
MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75. She is currently living in a loving foster home where she can be easily visited. Cuddles
CUDDLES is a beautiful and sweet short-haired black and gray tabby female kitty about 12 years old. She was surrendered by her people when they moved out of state and couldn’t take her with them. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with a little patience and TLC, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting and especially chin scratches. She’ll be happiest in a quiet home with lots of low spots for her to hang out and nap in. Cuddles has been thoroughly checked out by a vet and, other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lay on your chest, legs or back, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play when she’s not asking for ear rubs. She prefers you don’t touch her feet too much, but once she trusts you, she is good with being brushed. Cuddles is currently in foster care and would love to meet you for a proper introduction. Cuddles' adoption fee is $60, to help other abandoned and neglected kitties. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat who is about 12 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws, thus he must be an indoor-only cat (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy who is very quiet and has a soft purr. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. He can be quite playful at times and wants you to be involved too. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Boots' adoption fee is $60.
