Beauty
BEAUTY is a sweet little gray tabby tuxedo female kitty who has a white face blaze and a darling little beauty mark on her nose – thus her name. She is truly beautiful inside and out. She was part of a large group of indoor-outdoor cats living at a house in Oakridge who were rescued, spayed (with an ear tip) and put into a foster home. She was raised with lots of love, and is outgoing and affect-ionate. After acclimating to her new surroundings, Beauty has a gentle, good-natured personality. She gets along fine with other cats and she lived with a dog in her former home. She will likely do well with gentle, cat-savvy children and dogs. Beauty is a well-mannered little lady who has a tremendous amount of love to give. Beauty has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is now in the cattery at Petsmart North, 2847 Chad Drive, Eugene OR 97401. Satin
SATIN is a beautiful and petite, solid black long-haired girl kitty with a curious nature, about 8 to 10 years old. She loves to explore and poke around into all the nooks and crannies of her surroundings. Leave a drawer or cabinet open, and she’ll immediately inspect it. Satin lived all her life with an elderly couple until they could no longer care for her when they moved into a long-term care facility. She is now looking for a new home where there are loving humans to pet her, interesting cubbies to explore, and windows full of light. She is generally reserved, but soon shows her affectionate and curious nature when she feels safe and comfortable. She likes a good scratching post but would rather cuddle next to you on the sofa while you read a book and stroke her head, than play with toys or run around. She could possibly coexist with one other quiet kitty, but would likely be happiest as an only cat. We do not know yet how she is around dogs. SATIN has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Lacey is a beautiful, soft and fluffy little female black and white tuxedo kitten who is approximately four months old. She was part of a large group of indoor-outdoor cats living at a house in Oakridge who were rescued, spayed (with an ear tip) and put into a foster home. Lacey has a gentle and timid nature, and she may hide for a few days in her new home until she feels safe. Once her people have earned her trust, she is affectionate and will love them with all of her heart. Because she is a shy girl, Lacey is not a good candidate for a household with small children. She gets along well with other cats and would do best having another kitten or friendly cat to play with. Because of her previous living situation, Lacey is the rare kitten that we might consider adopting to an indoor-outdoor home as long as it is a SAFE outdoor environment. Lacey is a special girl and her adopters will be fortunate indeed! NOTE: LACEY has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens), which is strictly to help cover our costs. Lacey is in the cattery with our partner PetSmart at 2847 Chad Drive , Eugene OR 97401. HAZEL is a cute little short-haired black panther female kitten about 3 months old. She is active, playful and energetic, and enjoys running enthusiastically around the house. Her foster mom calls her "the flyer", as she will jump enormous distances. Hazel and her sisters were rescued as very young kittens, and raised in a loving foster home. They are all very active and love to chase each other or anything else that moves, but when they are finally worn out, they will calm down and cuddle in your lap. Hazel does love at be rubbed under the chin and will purr loudly for your efforts. She would do best in a household where there is another kitten or playful young animal, or where she gets lots of attention and isn’t left alone during the day. Her adopter needs to understand that she is a VERY high energy and playful young girl. Be ready for action with Hazel! Hazel’s adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens). . Atlas .

Atlas
ATLAS is a big handsome young ginger tabby male kitty about a year old. He and his siblings were found abandoned as babies and went to live in a foster home, but Atlas was held back for adoption after he experienced several seizures that seemed to be precipitated by stress (including going to the vet). He has been in his current foster home for six months, and there have been absolutely no signs of seizures. Atlas is very shy with strangers and in new situations, but once he has acclimated, he is very affectionate, loves pets, and purrs readily. You just have to learn how to approach him: he frequently gives you a "come pet me" look, and if you get down on the floor with him or follow him to his favorite petting spot (the bathroom sink), he'll be putty in your hands. He is good with being picked up, and likes being cuddled in your arms. He is active and playful, and really adores tumbling around with the young cat in his foster home (see video); their play is adorably sweet and gentle, and his foster dad calls Atlas the “Karate Kitty”. Atlas is also good with the dog that lives there, and would do best in a quiet household (no young kids) with at least one other playful young animal for him to buddy up with. As a special needs kitty, Atlas’ adoption fee is only $60 – although a donation to our medical fund is always greatly appreciated. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed--plus you get a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited. For more information please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. 8/18/17 9:46 PM

YAMIKO is a lovable little short-haired black panther female kitten about 3 months old. She is curious, playful and energetic, and enjoys running enthusiastically around the house. She is the “leader of the pack” with her 2 sisters – they follow her everywhere on her adventures. These 3 girls were rescued as very young kittens, and raised in a loving foster home. They are all very active and love to chase each other or anything else that moves, but when they are finally worn out, they will calm down and cuddle in your lap. Yamiko loves attention and will purr loudly when you rub her. She would do best in a household where there is another kitten or playful young animal, or where she gets lots of attention and isn’t left alone during the day. Carly
CARLY is a lovable little short-haired black female kitten about 3 months old. She is curious, playful and energetic, and enjoys running enthusiastically around the house as well as lounging in sunny windowsills. Her playful side, however, is balanced out nicely by her desire to connect with the humans in her life; she will sit on laps when she’s feeling in need of attention, and you will often find her on someone’s bed during the night! Carly is happy to be picked up and handled, and enjoys being petted for as long as people will pet her. She enjoys children and adults alike, and she adjusted nicely to the other household pets in her foster home (dogs, cats and rabbits). Carly is particularly active and energetic, and would do best in a household where there is another playful young animal (she would not do well as an only kitty). In her foster home she has exhibited an extremely strong desire to dash out the door, and they have found it almost impossible to keep her from escaping outside (although she is easily rounded-up) -- so she might be a candidate for an indoor-outdoor home if her adopter has a VERY safe outdoor environment. CARLY’s adoption fee is $120 ($225 for 2 kittens). She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. . Chico .

Chico
CHICO is just the sweetest cat in the world! He is a handsome flame-point Siamese mix around 9 years old. At his current weight of 16+ lbs, he is a gentle giant, and his adopter will need to continue his weight-loss regimen so that he can get his boyish figure back and stay healthy. He has a cute little meow-chirp, and will talk to you alot. He loves to be petted (he will plop down on his side so that you can rub his tummy) and will purr and purr. Chico will cuddle up by you on the couch or bed, and he LOVES people and attention. He would do well with older children. He really likes to play, especially with the feather toy (exercise is great to help him lose weight too) and he loves little stuffed toys. His original owner loved him very much but had to give him up when he went into a care facility. We then adopted Chico to a woman who said he was the nicest cat she ever had -- but she subsequently fell down and is now unable to care for him. Chico would probably do best as your only pet and certainly is up to the job of providing all the love you would ever need. Won’t you give this sweet boy a stable forever home, with all of the love and attention he so deserves? He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FELV and FIV, is microchipped and has been treated for fleas and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. Chico's adoption fee is $60. To meet Chico in foster care or learn more about him, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org. ID# 1606-C0237. 8/18/17 9:46 PM

Yancy
YANCY (also known at “Kit Kat”) is a gorgeous young male adult kitty with fluffy black fur that has a dramatic gray undercoat, especially the ruff around his neck. He is a precious young boy who still has a lot of kitten in him. He enjoys other cats and has spent his life with them, but he can be a bit aggressive if another cat provokes him. He is scared and shy in new situations, and will need a patient and understanding owner; once he has acclimated, however, then he is very easygoing. Yancy really enjoys playing with all the cat toys in his foster home -- he likes to flip them in the air and then hunt for them. It's not uncommon for Yancy to run through the house and skid on the area rugs. He really loves to be petted on his head and neck area. PLEASE NOTE that he is still getting used to being picked up and held. He loves some canned food with his meals, and he adores catnip. He has great hygiene, doesn't shed much, and always uses his litter box. Yancy was surrendered by his owner who lost her home and could no longer care for him. Won’t you give this handsome and wonderful young guy the stable forever home he so deserves? Yancy’s adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. Gaia
GAIA is a beautiful and inquisitive one-year-old dilute calico female kitty who would love to be the goddess of your household. She is very active and playful, and especially loves to climb and be up high -- so she would do best in a home with a cat tree and other high places to perch. She has a strong preference for other cats that are respectful of her space, and can be a little grouchy with an “in-your-face” approach, preferring to take her time making friends. The same goes for her interactions with humans. That said, once she decides you are trustworthy, she loves to be petted and brushed and enjoys playing with her friends…both feline and human. Gaia and her siblings were abandoned by their mom cat, and were raised as bottle babies. She had to stay in foster care for quite awhile, getting over a harmless skin condition. She will do best in a quiet home, and a slow, gentle introduction by her new family will pave the way for this sweet young girl to make her way into their hearts. GAIA’s adoption fee is $100, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed-plus you get a free vet visit. HARLEY is a big sweet lug of a black and white male tuxedo kitten. The largest of his litter, his adorable white mustache and black beard gives him a dignity that disappears the moment he sees another kitty to play with. Harley and his brother Timmy and sister Lucy were born to a stray mama cat, and have been flourishing in foster care learning how to be house cats. He has perfect litter box manners and will eat both kibble and canned food. Harley enjoys wrestling with his siblings; his favorite game is to run up and down his tall cat perch and watch the birds outside his window. Like most active young kittens, he would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal, or with a family who can monitor his activity and give him lots of attention. She and her 5 siblings were born to a stray mom cat, and were taken inside to a foster home at a very young age (3 weeks) since it was too dangerous to leave them outside. With vet care, the loving attention of their foster parents, and a good quality diet, they grew healthy and strong, happy and secure. Blossom knows she's adorable – look at those ears!! She's a playful and sweet girl who loves her snuggles, but being a Princess, she loves to be up high on her throne (cat tree) and survey all that is her kingdom. In addition to her siblings, she’s lived with 6 adult cats and one 90 lb furry dog who provided a great place to curl up on. She is really good with being groomed. Like most active young kittens, she would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal, or with a family who can monitor her activity and give her lots of attention. Zuri
ZURI is a soft and silky, solid white young adult female kitty about 3 years old. She is very shy around new people and environments, but once she trusts you and is comfortable in her new environment, Zuri will purr and cuddle with you, sleep on the bed with you each night, and will happily come to you when you put your hand out or when you shake her food dish. She adores petting from individuals she trusts, and sometimes she will reach out a gentle paw to bat at your hand when you stop petting her, to say “more please!” Zuri loves to bat small kitty toys across the floor, but since she will sometimes put new things with her mouth, it is important that she not be given anything chewable. Zuri gets along with calm, cat-friendly dogs, and would probably be okay with gentle, cat-savvy kids age 12 or older. After a slow introduction, she got along OK with some of the other cats in her foster home, but not with others – so she might be happiest as an only cat. Zuri would do best in a calm home, where she can warm up to her surroundings at her own pace. A veterinarian called our rescue group when Zuri’s owner brought her in to euthanize her because she had been living/hiding in their closet for the two years they had her. With patience and gentleness, Zuri has slowly learned that her home can feel safe and has become more confident in exploring it instead of hiding in a closet. She is now looking for a forever home that can provide her with the love and patience she needs to continue to blossom. ZURI has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tate
TATE is a sweet and slightly fluffy little male kitten who is white with patches of gray tabby on his head, back, and tail. He is super cute, bouncy and very playful. Tate may be a bit shy when he first goes home to his forever family, but once he feels safe, he quickly blossoms into the friendly and sociable little guy that he is. Tate is very loving and affectionate and he has been raised with much love. He gets along fine with other cats and he will likely do well with cat-savvy dogs and kids. Tate and his siblings were born into a large group of unfixed cats living in a home in Oakridge, and they were immediately transferred (with their mom cat) to a loving foster home. Like most active young kittens, he would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal, or with a family who can monitor him and give him lots of attention. NOTE: TATE has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. LUCY is a silky soft, adorable little gray and white female tuxedo kitten with four white socks, and a cute little white mustache and gray chin. She is a sweet, calm, gentle girl who loves to be petted. Lucy and her brothers Timmy and Harley were born to a stray mama cat, and have been flourishing in foster care learning how to be house cats. She has perfect litter box manners and will eat both kibble and canned food. Lucy enjoys a good game of chase with her siblings, loves to climb a tall kitty perch, and her favorite game is to challenge one of her kitty friends to a wrestling match. LANGSTON is a sweet and somewhat reserved little solid black male kitten about 4 months old. He is gentle and talkative, and has a huge purr once he decides you are trustworthy -- but he likes to sit back and assess new things and situations before jumping in. He enjoys cuddling and wrestling with his sister Maya (see picture), and once he feels safe, he will be happy to include you in his fun and games too. He does well with gentle, cat-friendly dogs; he has not met any children, but we think he would do well with gentle kids after a careful introduction. He and his siblings were born in a residential neighborhood, caught by a good Samaritan, and put into a loving volunteer foster home where they have grown and thrived. Like most active young kittens, he would do best in a household with another kitten or playful young animal, or with a patient and savvy cat owner who can monitor him and give him lots of attention. Atticus
ATTICUS is a beautiful, solid gray 2-year-old male kitty whose attributes lead us to believe he might be a Russian Blue mix: he is alert, friendly, playful, energetic, intelligent, and has a beautiful, shiny, dense coat. When he is ready to be petted, he will nudge your hand to let you know. When it's time to play, he is happy to chase a piece of yarn around the house, pulled by one of his people; then when it's time for his humans to take a break, he is happy to play with the ball of yarn all on his own. He uses his litterbox religiously, prefers his wave-shaped scratching post to furniture, and would love a tall cat tree to indulge his desire to climb. He is curious and smart and gets along well with older kids. He is not good with being picked up, but will follow you around the house and monitor all of your activities. Atticus was abandoned at a local veterinarian after his urethra became blocked with crystals which required a life-saving surgery that cured him of the problem. He is now a healthy boy and his only special requirement is that he requires a prescription diet to reduce crystal formation. Atticus would definitely prefer to be an only cat but most likely could acclimate to a friendly and mellow dog. His adoption fee is $75 which helps us pay it forward to help other abandoned and neglected kitties. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/Felv, microchipped, deflead and dewormed and comes with a free vet visit. He is currently in foster care. BOOTS is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo cat who is about 10 years old with the most adorable white mustache and spot on his nose. He is DECLAWED on his front paws, thus he must be an indoor-only cat (which he has been his whole life). He is a gentle and well-behaved guy who is very quiet and has a soft purr. His lifelong owner transitioned to a nursing home and Boots was left behind. His sadness at the sudden loss of all he knew took him several weeks to acclimate to his new foster home. He can be quite playful at times and wants you to be involved too. Boots likes to follow you around and be right next to you to supervise but doesn’t care to be touched too much. He can become very anxious when being picked up. Learning to respect his boundaries with patience and kindness will reward you with his trust and love. He’s good at communicating and will sleep by your feet. Boots needs to be an only cat and in a home without young kids. He will make a wonderful kitty for a quiet person or couple looking for a delightful and loving companion. Meadow
Meadow and River are very sweet, shy kiddos that need someone patient enough to wait for their wonderful personalities to come out and shine! Meadow is a beautiful solid black girl and the friendliest one, and likes being picked up and snuggled. She'll sit around with her tongue peeking out of her mouth, looking adorable. River, an adorable gray tabby, needs a little more time before she'll come out to be social, but she follows her sister's lead. It'll take a month or two before River will start coming up to you for attention, and some time after that before she'll let you pick her up. Once she trusts you, she'll be devoted to you and follow you around and meow for attention 🙂 They're not used to loud noises so they may run and hide the first few times they hear something new. They have a little experience with a cat savvy dog and they did well once they got used to her, so with time, they could get along with a canine sibling. They can both be bribed with treats once they've settled into their new environment. They're energetic, both love to chase da bird toy and any string will get their attention! River likes to chase toys when you throw them and Meadow will run along just because her sister is running. If you have treats, they'll both gently bat at your fingers until you give them some. Because River is very bonded to her sister, Meadow, we are offering them at a special adoption fee of $100 for the pair, sponsored by Main Street Mini Storage. These adorable girls are shy with new people and situations. The important thing will be to create a feeling of safety by letting them settle in one room of your home with everything they need: food, water, toys and a litter box (and you!). Interact with them as much as you can in their 'safe room' until they recognize you as the trusted hooman. Meadow will need toys and lots of time with you, but most of all she will need your patience and love to blossom to her full potential. Both Meadow and River have tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. TANA'I is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One veterinarian estimated her age at 3 years old and another at 6 years old but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted and Tana'i has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works a lot so she can save up her affections. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich and she goes completely silly for catnip. She would prefer a quiet home without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction and might be OK with a respectful dog. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tana'i is currently in foster care. TOOEY is a large and handsome fluffy black and white male tuxedo kitty with a white face blaze, about 21 months old. He is active and playful, and very affectionate -- he's not a scaredy cat at all. He is good with being held and sitting in laps, and is very bonded to humans. Tooey was adopted from our rescue group as a kitten but when his owner moved in with a relative who was very allergic to cats, he and his sister "Wunnie," were returned. His sister has since been adopted but Tooey is still on the search. He needs a home where he can feel safe and adored and where his new owner understands that young kitties can have "wild and crazy guy" time too! Tooey will occasionally scratch when overstimulated and needs a patient and cat-savvy adopter (no young kids). He may be able to adjust to a mellow, non-dominant kitty or to a cat-friendly dog but he is not a fan of active young kittens. Who has the patience for THAT?! Won’t you give this sweet young guy the stable forever home he so deserves? His adoption fee is $75 which is strictly to help cover our costs. [PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE ALL PICTURES OF CATS THAT ARE ALREADY IN FOSTER CARE] West Coast fosters give their kitties lots of TLC and attention. Because of that, we have very well socialized cats that are readily adopted. BUT, we have reached capacity with our fosters. We need more fosters to help fulfill our mission of helping rescue special needs animals. Fosters are provided with all the food, bedding and litter the cat needs. We also pay all their medical expenses. Your part is to give them love and attention and how hard can that be? This is the perfect opportunity to have a pet without a life time commitment. Fostering lasts anywhere from one week to several months and YOU get to choose whether you foster bottle babies, kittens or adult cats AND how many. NORA is a sweet young adult female kitty with beautiful, glossy black fur. She is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a teenager and went to live in a loving foster home. She was very shy at first, but she has learned that humans have gentle hands, bring food and toys, and give her gentle pets. She enjoys playtime with feather-on-a-stick and fuzzy toys that she can bat at and "capture". Nora was adopted a few months ago, and just came back to because her adopter had to suddenly move out of her living situation. This poor kitty is ready for a stable forever home! She will need a quiet household and an adopter who is patient and gentle -- but once she gets to know her new people, they will be rewarded with a sweet and loving lap cuddler who is full of purrs! Nora is curious about new places, but she likes to start out with a safe spot where she can observe her world, then work her way into her new surroundings. Nora might do best as the only cat, although she does seem to do OK with other mellow kitties who don't push her around. TAMMY is a shy but very sweet little female kitty about 2 years old with plush black fur. She was born in a feral colony (and spayed with an ear tip), and then was taken into a loving foster home where she slowly learned to trust people. She is active and playful, but may hide when someone walks into the room or moves too quickly towards her. Once you've earned her trust she will purr for hours and enjoys all the chin rubs you can give her. She was adopted into a household with one other young kitty (Tasha), but Tammy is a very dominant kitty with other cats, and Tasha was a bit afraid of her. Tammy and Tasha’s adoptive mom recently died, and they are now living in a foster home where they have been separated. Tammy is still adjusting to the sudden change and even though she really loves to be petted, she will sometimes suddenly growl or hiss. She will need a quiet home without young children. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home -- she was very scared at first -- but with a little patience and TLC, she has proved to be a friendly girl who enjoys gentle petting and especially chin scratches. She’ll be happiest in a quiet home with lots of low spots for her to hang out and nap in. Cuddles has been thoroughly checked out by a vet and, other than some minor arthritis in her hips, she is in excellent health. Once she has bonded to you, she loves to lay on your chest, legs or back, especially in bed at night, but not necessarily on your lap. She may give you an appreciative lick during petting or knead you with soft paws. She enjoys DaBird wire toy for play when she’s not asking for ear rubs. She prefers you don’t touch her feet too much, but once she trusts you, she is good with being brushed. Cuddles is currently in foster care and would love to meet you for a proper introduction. RAY is an elegant adult male black and white tuxedo kitty with long fluffy fur, estimated to be between 4 and 7 years old. This magnificent fellow seeks a soft place from which to lounge, survey his territory and approve of your every action. He was abandoned by his family when they decided they were just too busy to take care of him. Ray has luminous green eyes and a very fluffy long tail which he wafts back and forth. He enjoys being brushed, will sit in your lap, and is OK with being held or carried for a short time. He is calm and easygoing, loves to talk, enjoys playing, and will make a wonderful companion for a family of adults or gentle, older children. After a thorough veterinary review, it is recommended that he be on a urinary-tract health diet, although it does not need to be a prescription diet (mainly just a high quality canned food). He would be happiest as an only cat, although he is OK with other cats if they leave him alone (he is timid). Ray's adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. TIPPY is a gorgeous and fluffy one-year-old brown tabby female kitty who looks like she might have some Maine Coon in her. Like many cats, she wants to be in charge of her world, and prefers to decide for herself who her friends are and when she will accept being caressed. But once she's decided you are trustworthy and well-intentioned, she will purr, trill, and eagerly lean into your hand for pets. Tippy was living in a rough neighborhood, and was taken in by a kind-hearted resident who eventually surrendered her to a local vet when she became homeless. Because Tippy had to survive by her sharp wits and quick paws, she still has some issues with scratching and nipping. Since coming to our rescue group May 5 she has been bounced around to a number of different foster homes due to her unpredictable behavior. It will take a patient owner who is willing to be gentle and slow in gaining her trust and allowing her plenty of time to settle in and finally acclimate to her new surroundings. Once that happens, Tippy will make a sweet and devoted lifetime companion. She needs to be the ONLY cat, and should not be in a home with young children. LAYLA is a puffy princess -- a long-haired tortie kitty with a white chest and paws, about 4 years old. She will be very shy starting out, and should have a nice cozy place to hide until she has become accustomed to her new surroundings and humans. Eventually Layla loves to be very much a part of her human’s activities. She loves being petted, and in her foster home, she would run to a favorite roost and meow for her foster dad to pet her. She enjoys toys that are interactive, like Da Bird and laser pointer, and she also has a pile of small stuffed toys that she pulls out and plays with. She is not fond of being held, but she is OK being carried and also brushed. She would do best as an only kitty, but she will tolerate another cat that leaves her alone and give her some space. Layla was adopted as a teenager, and came back to us as a scared, shy kitty when her owner could no longer care for her. With patience and TLC she will blossom into an affectionate girl who will bond strongly to her adopter, just as she did with her foster dad over the past few months. She is a little nervous about strange sounds or unfamiliar surroundings, and will sometimes hiss or growl -- but she is never aggressive (although she should not be in a home with young kids). She loves to play with string and balls, and she really enjoys sitting and looking out windows. Ariana was adopted from WCDC as a kitten, but was returned to us when her owner became financially unstable and was unable to care for her (or give her the attention that she so strongly desires). It took Ariana awhile to learn to trust her new family, but now she is very affectionate with her foster mom's teenagers, and sleeps with them every night. She will need a patient and cat-savvy adopter who will give her time to adjust -- but this young girl really wants to be a part of a family in a stable forever home! NOTE: ARIANA has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $75, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She is currently in foster care. Hobi
HOBI is a wonderfully sweet and friendly silver tabby male kitty who is estimated to be about 12 years old. He's a charming guy who is curious and outgoing, and who doesn’t act at all like a senior kitty. Don't be surprised if you see him hop up onto a cat tree or other high place, like a cat with much less life experience! He's spry and talkative and still likes to chase a string around the floor. Hobi was adopted as a kitten and lived his whole life with just one family -- until both his people suffered failing health and could no longer care for this boy. He's looking for a warm and loving forever home where his people will listen to his stories and cuddle up with him on the sofa. Hobi is great with gentle kids, and he is so laid back that he should be fine with other mellow cats. He has been neutered, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $60 (adoption fees help us help another cat). He is currently in foster care. To meet Hobi or learn more about him, please call 541-225-4955 option 1 or send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescuest.org. ID# 1704-C0090. 8/18/17 9:46 PM

DeeCee
Hi, I'm DeeCee! Are you looking for an affectionate companion? I might be your girl. I will sit on your lap, and entertain you by allowing you to shine a laser pointer for me to chase. I used to be shy, but now I'm just a little cautious in new situations. I would love to find a family that would lavish attention on me, me me! I'm a beautiful black and white tuxedo kitty and I am just a year and a half old. I was carrying a little extra weight around my middle, but with some careful calorie counting, and a little extra playtime, I have managed to shed most of the excess weight. There is still a little more of me to love, or to warm your lap, but don't let that fool you -- I like to romp and play, and explore. DeeCee was surrendered by her adopters because their other cat was bullying her, and keeping her cornered and stressed. Because of that, DeeCee peed outside of her litterbox. Since being in foster care, she has been treated for a urinary tract infection, and is recovering and using her box regularly. She will need to stay on a urinary tract health food for her lifetime, and she would probably do best as an only cat. DeeCee has been spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. DeeCee's adoption fee is $75 (adoption fees help us cover medical expenses). DeeCee is currently in foster. Miss Squeaky P
MISS SQUEAKY P (named because of her adorable squeak) is a gorgeous medium-haired tortoiseshell kitty with a cute white chin. She is about 6 to 7 years old. When she was rescued and came to her foster home, she was malnourished and suffering from flea dermatitis. After receiving veterinary care and several months of TLC, everything has turned around for her. She has blossomed into a very lovely and sweet girl, and while her skin may always need a little attention (we occasionally give her a few days of oral steroids), she now has a beautiful coat instead of the patchy and scabby skin she came in with! She is an adorable and affectionate companion, and is also very playful. Miss Squeaky P has lots of love to give and is very pleasant to hang out with, never needing too much attention, but she happily accepts it when given. She likes being brushed, adores catnip, her Neko Fly and the red laser light, and will also curl up on your lap and sleep with you at night. She gets along with other easy-going cats after a period of introduction, and she might do okay with a friendly dog -- but she would dearly love to be the only pet. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed - plus you get a free vet visit. Miss Squeaky P's adoption fee is $75. She is currently living in a loving foster home where she can be easily visited.
